  1. Is that for bragging rights (0-60 times)? or because of the actual number of shifts? There are tons of "performance" cars that either benefit or get hurt by the number of times the have to shift in the measured performance stats like 0-60. I don't really see it as anything but bragging rights though.
  2. The only time I give less than 15% (usually 20%) is if I can visibly see my server slacking off when I need something. Lets say my drink is empty or I need some extra napkins, and I see them sitting down at another table talking to friends. That really pisses me off, and they usually get 10%. If they are running around, obviously busy, and my drink is empty for a bit, or I have to wait for napkins, thats completely fine. They are busy, and they will get to me soon enough. In that case, full tip. In this case, its part of the bill = illegal.
  3. Yeah, I read about the limited 1/2 gears. I always wondered why they didn't just lower the redline on the MS3? The GTI pulls nicely in 2nd, but 3rd is definitely my favorite.
  4. What gear is the "money" gear in the MS3? My GTI LOVES 3rd gear. Too bad winding it out puts you way over the highway speed limits.
  5. It was probably you. I'll do another ricer fly by and then wave next time I see you. :bangbang: See you around.
  6. Its totally understandable. I wish I had the self control to drive like that, honestly. Just giving you some shit.
  7. There is another 3 hatch around westerville that I used to see, it was debadged front and rear, was that you before you painted your wheels? used to see it coming from spring/tussic onto maxtown a lot earlier this year.
  8. haha, that was me. No fly by, I just drive decently fast. Usually 55 on sunbury rd. I was hoping you were up for some "spirited" driving though. Now I realize that you were pushing your comfort zone going the speed limit!!!!! haha
  9. No shit. haha, I actually like the wheels, very unique. Black calipers are the way to go, painted my wifes black and they look great. Said the car looked good, and I meant it. PS, you really do drive amazingly slow. haha
  10. Not only that, he ices the cake with BLUE calipers and sprinkles stickers on it to finish the look.
  11. Trust me, I know. This was one of the FEW times that I didn't go with him when he was looking at cars, and he buys something. He never popped the hood on this thing, never opened the tailgate, never checked any of the switches other than the drivers side. He only drove the thing for 10 minutes and then bought it. :gtfo: I was beside myself when be brought it home and I looked it over. First thing I did was pop the hood, noticed the strut tower and oil/shit/gunk all over the valve covers immediately. I mean a blind woman would have said NO after seeing this engine. Air conditioning didn't work, check engine light came on on his drive home from picking it up, had 2 trans codes and something else on top of all the shit I already mentioned. Really, I was stunned when he brought it home. Didn't really know what to say.
  12. Morock's auto sales on Cleveland Avenue south of Morse. They gave him all of his money back minus 300. It was worth the loss though. HOPEFULLY he learned a valuable lesson. (most likely not though)
  13. LOL, that is by far the nicest way you could have put that. I saw him on Sunbury road the other day, and thought to myself, "Damn, he drives like a fucking pussy" lol. Nice car though.
  14. Salvage what? His completely wrong, fail of a call out post?
  15. He is at the dealer now seeing if they will give him his money back (not likely). He is going to offer to return the van and lose $150 if he can get the remaining money back. Hopefully they go for it. The defrost and air conditioning isn't working either today, and they worked yesterday, along with the 3 engine codes. Don't know why he bought this van. Not holding my breath though.
  16. He spent like 1500. damn that sucks, oh well, might have to try to flip it. Thanks for the help. I will get some pics up soon.
  17. Thats exactly what I thought he did. Sucks, one of the only times I didn't go with him to look at a car, he buys this piece of shit.
  18. Is the piece I linked what is required? If so, they can be had for less than $50.
  19. This strut tower piece is riveted on, and is added on top of the existing tower, how much is something like this to install? http://www.1aauto.com/1A/shocks_struts/Plymouth/Voyager/1ASMX00003/363646?utm_source=google_base&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google_base_api
  20. Damn, he really got himself in deep with this van. He just brought me 3 slips of paper, 3 ecu codes from a check engine light on his way home from buying it. Said it never had a light on when he test drove it and it drove fine. P0403: EGR system fault P0700: Transaxle control system fault P0740: Torque Converter clutch circuit condition Add those to the rusted strut tower and gunk all over the valve cover gaskets on both banks of cylinders and you have essentially how NOT to buy a used car.
  21. My brother just bought an 1999/2000 Plym Voyager and it has some problems. The drivers side strut tower is rusted, and looks like it will need some attention soon. It is rusted where the mount connects to the tower, the mount is rusted as well, and it doesn't look good. The only rust is on the top though, and it looks like it could be saved easily, however I have no Idea what the procedure is or how much it will cost. I can get some pics tonight to post up, but the affected area is just the top, nothing else on the tower is rusted. I imagine it will need cut out, and a donor tower welded in. Let me know what you can without pics. Thanks guys.
