I don't believe I've seen anyone with a MK7 yet, but I'm a multiple MK5/6 owner. Central Ohio VW market is strong, you won't find those kind of deals any place, or any time until maybe end of year. The early MK7 GTIs had turbo issues, but that has been sorted. Other than suggesting you get the performance package, I fully support your decision. Judging by the reviews, you should love it.

I built a car that I'd order, a 1SS with the brembos, adaptive suspension, and sports exhaust, and it was 7500 more MSRP than my Mustang. $43,500 vs 35,900. If you remove the suspension and exhaust that aren't available on Mustang, it's still $5,000 more. I bet the ZL1 will base in the 60s and option over 70.

Hate the styling, and it'll be priced well beyond even 5 years of depreciation will allow me to spend (if I liked the styling). Other than those 2, GM is certainly killing the performance cars lately.

e9x 3 series is a small car. I wouldn't want to put clients in a car like that, IMO. B8 Audi's are larger. C6 A6 would be hard for me not to buy, they're gorgeous and can be had with the 3.0T supercharged 6.

They aren't that fast honestly. Fastest i've seen a mag run them is 12.7@113mph stock. I have about 50lbs off the car, 40 of it being unsprung and rotational, so that should help out, but the tires are 300tw vs stock 220tw. Yours should do well too! Jones ran a 12.3@112 I believe, but I think you have more mods than he did.

My car was never going to be 100% stock, as I have winter tires on my stock wheels. I'm going regardless, and my goal is a 12 second slip. I've managed a 15 in my SHO, 14 in my GTI, and 13 in my R. Time for a 12!
