  1. That is sex on wheels..... oh yeh and, "If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I."
  2. Not only did it get enough coverage for people to recognize the car, but to inspire them to make thier car "look like that". maybe I am just tired
  3. Just givin ya a hard time. + rep for you for not being a tool
  4. Nice car. Glad to hear you are doing it right, instead of half assing it to get it back together. BTW not all Evos have to wait for spool. Titanium shaft and turbine wheel ftw.
  5. Quoted for the truth.... What about you smiley, what do you think about the kids story of having 3 tickets and still driving?...... :bs: Bullshit huh? I agree
  6. If you are looking at the new ones here's Car and Driver comparison: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparison_test/hatchbacks/subaru_wrx_sti_vs_mitsubishi_evo_gsr_vs_vw_r32_comparison_test
  7. Okay, now I know what you are saying. And yes I agree with that.
  8. I'm not following ya. People that buy Evos buy them for one purpose, Performance. And the new Evolution X is more "refined" thats why they aren't selling. People that want "refined" don't buy Evos. CT9As (Evo 7,8,&9) are built to go fast and turn well, period. btw, speaking in terms of performance name another car on that list that has gone 9s, full bodied, full interior, no nitrous, street car.
  9. If you run high 12s I bet you won't even be the 2nd slowest
  10. What? I know of barely any chics that drive either car, however the ones that do kick ass. What do you consider young whipper snapper also? I don't know too many guys under 21 with an Evo due to the price. edit: if you are just referring to the general looks of the car, then de-wing it and it loses a lot of the "ricey" look.
  11. Evo. Drive one and you will know. edit: you will mod it more than you ever intended. That is the ONLY problem I have had with mine. double edit: don't buy an EvoX get a VIII or an IX

That's the LEAST funny thing I have ever seen
  13. I am always down to learn something. Is my thinking wrong? I was not looking at it from a scientific point of view, because I have seen time and time again that numbers on paper don't equal real world results. Is E85 not less combustible than 93 octane gasoline? If it is less combustible why would taking a tune that is OPTIMIZED for combustion at X parameters be better when with the less combustible fuel. Aside from having an improper tune in the first place I don't get how it could make improvement. Again, I know that E85 is great stuff. When you turn up the boost, and add timing ofcoarse it will make better power. I was only referring to the tons of people I hear about now just adding stuff like this to a car tuned for 93 expecting gains. If I am wrong in my thinking, so be it. I just want to know why and see a real world example of a PROPER, non knocking 93 oct tune gaining power from less combustible fuel. btw, not trying to argue... just discuss, otherwise I wouldnt learn anything
  14. If you are adding boost or timing ABSOLUTELY use a more knock resistant fuel. I was only talking about the people that get tuned for 93, then put race gas in the car at the track on the same exact tune. <--That is useless
  15. Prepare for a car thats hard to start in the cold, and drinks fuel like it is its job. Also make sure that you retune in the winter because Ohio winter blend is E70.
  16. Anybody that doesn't log knock, is not tuning. They are throwing shit at the car and praying it works. E30 is more knock resistant. Ofcoarse it won't knock. Assuming you scale the injectors so you have enough fuel to not lean out. What so many people fail to understand is that race fuel, E85, E90, or any knock resistant fuel is LESS combustible. Thats why it lessens the chances for pre-detonation. On a correctly tuned car, with no knock adding a fuel that doesn't burn as well can only hinder performance unless you are going to adjust the tune accordingly.
  17. I want to go, but I am not going to waste my time if they are going to kick out cars that run faster than 11.49 without a cage. Being that its Trails, I am sure they will.
  18. His is a bugeye and his foglights are still in. We do need to trim the corners of the foglight housings though to make it fit perfect. The APS unit is not cheap, but you can find decent deals on used ones on NASIOC
  19. You can tell how much knock you have from logging the KNOCK SENSOR. If you are not tuning for E85 other than injector scaling you are wasting your time.
  20. buy a front mount and sell your top mount on NASIOC. We just put an APS front mount Addicted2boost's WRX, and its sweet. He doesnt have a post IC AIT to log, but I know his top mount would get hot to the touch and the outlet side on this one did not.
  21. If you are going to bandaid it, get a meth kit and my first triple
  22. I believe it won't knock. Ofcoarse it wont knock. BUT if the knock you are having is due to intake temps and not the tune, you are going to be hindering your performance by using less combustible gas when your intake temps are low, and putting a bandaid on the real problem when they are high
  23. If your IC is that inefficient then its time for an upgrade. I only see about 10 degrees of variance in intake temps through a 1-4 gear pull with my BR race FMIC It makes the tune so much better.
  24. Honestly without tuning for it don't bother. If you are not getting knock on your current tune adding fuel that is less combustible is not going to help you.
