  1. I usually stop by Neighbor's Deli at least once a week
  2. I don't care how much Trojans may "reduce the risk" (of what, it doesn't actually say), but would you want to risk having your dick frozen and snapped in half while inside that thing?
  3. Not stupid at all... I still get a laugh out of
  4. If y'all are so worried about humane execution, get an old bleach bottle (or something similarly shaped), put roughly 1/2 to 1 inch of vinegar in it, followed by the mouse, then finally excess baking soda or some other form of carbonate (cheap-ass sidewalk chalk is fine). Death by carbon dioxide asphyxiation.
  5. - I've been running a publicly facing home server for nearly 8 years. Believe me when I say I sometimes question its worth. - It's my job to keep professional server admins happy with A/B power and N+2 cooling. We don't do the "nines" shit, my SLA is 100%. - As much as I love cats, I will never approach one without a handful of catnip at the ready
  6. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? That right there ought to determine the appropriate security posture. Are you trying to publish shit on the web for family (which appears to be the case?) If so, WinXP Home is the wrong OS for the job (just because it "works" doesn't mean it's "right"). At the very least, you should be using Windows Server, though Linux alone would be an improvement, and a more hardened OS like OpenBSD would be best. How is this server being placed on the net? Are you redirecting port 80 from your router to the server, or is the server itself acting as the router via Windows ICS? If the former, you're probably not in too bad of shape, if the latter, you're just asking for pwnage. Many ways to skin this cat, some of which result in a screeching feline clawing your face off, others in a dead cat and a useless lump of hair, and precious few that yield something a taxidermist can work with.
  7. Netgear MA521 for free if you come get it, or are in a spot where meeting for lunch is possible.
  8. Lock it up, taking them to be recycled this evening.
  9. Have a 672, 694, and 697 I'd like to send to a new home, $5 each w/ cable. The 697 was being actively used up until this past May; the 672 and 694 haven't been used since my brother and I finished college but do print their self-test pages correctly. The first out the door will come with used ink carts, the other two will need new ones.
  10. Any specific models I should look for or avoid? I'm not expecting to do anything super major, but where I am right now, I have two monitors side-by-side that aren't even close to each other, and neither are especially good at matching what comes out of my printer. I'd like to avoid spending $500 on a ColorMunki, but don't know enough to choose between lesser models.
  11. PM me if interested: We are actively recruiting for our client who is a leader in the development of battery systems utilizing lithium ion batteries. This is a fast paced, multi project work environment where engineers are expected to take projects on from concept through production. All of the projects are development in an atmosphere with software, firmware, mechanical and PCB engineers all working on a team. Located in Marlborough, MA, all of the positions require a technical background, and salaries are up to $135K, depending on experience. Sr. Electrical Design Engineer Responsible for the development of electronic systems in energy delivery and storage systems. These systems require electronic controls to manage, monitor and protect Lithium Ion battery cells, sub-modules and systems, and communicate to host systems and other battery systems. This position requires demonstrated expertise in analog, digital, and power electronics, including noise issues, power handling on PC boards, and isolation. Familiarity with power semiconductors, microprocessors, DC-DC power supplies, and communication circuits is required, System Engineer Part of a cross-functional group which develops concepts of battery solutions to a diverse set of challenging problems in the stationary, consumer, medical and industrial power markets. 12. What's with Beavis' voice? Sometimes it's right on, sometimes it's.... messed....
  13. This is what I've been hoping to find, but nobody seems to know just who to call. The usual suspects (Republic, Rumpke, Waste Management, etc) just want to haul them as regular trash.
  14. Oh they'll burn, of that I'm sure. It's just that some of them may result in growing extra toes, seeing/hearing things that aren't there, communing with your late aunt Martha, that sort of thing. And seriously, if burning them is all you folks care about but can't because they're treated, at least point me towards some sort of non-burnable pallet taker-away people. I want these damned things gone.
  15. PM sent, but don't close the thread. I need a group of folks who want these suckers on a semi-regular basis.
  16. Various chemicals known by the state of California to cause various ailments are released.
  17. I have 30+ clogging up my loading dock, and I want them gone. In fact, if they're not gone by Friday afternoon, they're going in the dumpster. Many are stamped HT (heat treated) so sticking them on a bonfire may not be the best solution, but once you take them, they're yours to deal with as you please. Email me through the board, and I'll send you my cell and location. Repeat customers appreciated, price is one piece of gravel per pallet (and we have those on-site )
  18. The only thing Milli Vanilli ever blamed was the tape recorder.
  19. Did Lamborghini factory paint any of their cars baby blue? It doesn't scream "SPEED! POWER!! MONEY!!!" the way gloss black or polished silver do.
  20. Sawmill Rd northbound just past Hard Rd, about 530p today. Light/powder blue, pretty sure it was a Reventon, but might have been the Murcie (was too busy thinking 'Shit, it's one of them F-22 cars! Why the hell is it baby blue?')
  21. +1 for old dudes who remember where the gas pedal is
