Well, I don't see why it would be a big deal. Maybe the panel can come halfway up to at least block the lower half. No reason why it shouldn't be doable if it's not already. And, as long as the wheels are driven independently, that thing can spin in a cirlcle, so handling shouldn't be an issue.
I'd definitely go for a drive in one. Even if the design has flaws, at least it shows thinking outside the box which, I believe, is a step in the right direction, at this point.
