  1. Only after being attacked by you. Look back in the threads, I am not the one who starts crap. You sir 100% of the time have started attacks on me, I just defend. I would assume a person who should be a mod, should be a little more mature than you are. Now lets get back to health care and insurance and you go take a midol.
  2. Unions love dems and always have. The dems love to have people get paid for no work/sub par work, just like the unions. BTW.... I was a Teamster from 1991 to 1995
  3. Good, one less idiot to deal with. I am not sure who you brown nosed to become a mod, it was obviously not for you intelect. Get back on the topic of health care and stop the personal attacks.
  4. I have dropped all government plans except medicare. I will not participate with any company that pays me less than I want. Fortunately, I can, and do turn people away that have sub par payers. If government health care comes along you will see Doctors unions come about. I will not stand for government health care plans. Doctors don't make nearly what they did in the 1980's. I think it is funny how people think health care is a right. I get tire of people saying " I cant afford health care. I think it is more of a priority problem than anything. I hate when some come to my office and complains that they have no money to pay for care, but they have a brand new car, a 4 wheeler, and a gun collection. They have plenty of money for that, but no to take care of them self. I would venture to say most on this board spend more on their cars than they do for health care, but they complain health care is too much money, all the while they are saving up for the new turbo upgrade.
  5. UHC is one of the worst paying insurers... true story. The Knox Community Hospital up here has even dropped UHC. Dont get hurt or sick in Knox county with UHC. I dont think we have any providers up here. I dropped them years ago. I might as well give the person a $20 and tell them to go some where else, it would have been cheaper for me.
  6. pffft.... my supra did that! lol Great Job!!!
  7. Talk about picking the wrong house to rob. Criminals need to do a little research on the victims before planning home invasions. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slug=dm-vera101708&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  8. I agree with that, The NEA refuses to fix the problem. Eliminate the union and some of the problem will be solved. Until parents get involved with the child's education, the problem will never go away.
  9. Thread hijack. Where in Hawaii are you moving?

  13. I would rather see a Ron Paul/ Fred Thompson ticket. Palin is better looking than Biden though.
  14. I have coverage that cost me about 175/mo for a family of four. We have a $2500 deductible per person. I calculate how much we spend on health care per year vs. the cost of going with a $500 deductible. I save thousands per year. The secret is if you have a low deductible, you are going to pay for it. For example. $500 deductible plan cost about 1000/mo for a family of four. That is 12k per year. I have a $2500 per person dectuctible plan. I pay $175/month, that is $2100/year. That saves me 10k per year in premiums. My wife,my kids and I have never used 10K in health care in 17 years. Seems like a high deductible plan works for me. The plan that we have now I have paid into for the last 6 years. That is about 60k in savings over that period of time.
  15. Good thing you posted then. Levels the playing field in here

  20. See what happens when the government runs a "Universal" health care program. Someone has to eventually pay the bill. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081017/ap_on_re_us/child_health_hawaii Hawaii ending universal child health care By MARK NIESSE, Associated Press Writer Mark Niesse, Associated Press Writer Fri Oct 17, 3:29 am ET HONOLULU – Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched. Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan. "People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program." State officials said Thursday they will stop giving health coverage to the 2,000 children enrolled by Nov. 1, but private partner Hawaii Medical Service Association will pay to extend their coverage through the end of the year without government support. "We're very disappointed in the state's decision, and it came as a complete surprise to us," said Jennifer Diesman, a spokeswoman for HMSA, the state's largest health care provider. "We believe the program is working, and given Hawaii's economic uncertainty, we don't think now is the time to cut all funding for this kind of program." Hawaii lawmakers approved the health plan in 2007 as a way to ensure every child can get basic medical help. The Keiki (child) Care program aimed to cover every child from birth to 18 years old who didn't already have health insurance — mostly immigrants and members of lower-income families. It costs the state about $50,000 per month, or $25.50 per child — an amount that was more than matched by HMSA. State health officials argued that most of the children enrolled in the universal child care program previously had private health insurance, indicating that it was helping those who didn't need it. The Republican governor signed Keiki Care into law in 2007, but it and many other government s
