if he damaged any public property( gaurd rail, street sign, etc.) they will charge him to fix that

check the wiring to the coolant temp sensor. it gets old, brittle, and breaks. if its the coolant temp sensor youll have to crank it about 35 times to get it started and at that its hard to keep alive. the car doesnt like to idle cold, but when the engine warms up it drives and idles ok

if the caps leak it usually smells like a bad fish smell behind the center dash where the ecu is
