Probably didn't have a choice as mentioned above since Subaru pulled from the WRC.

I think the Senators/Congressmen should have to partake in the same health care plan they are trying to pass legislation on then see how many of the democrats cry foul and start whining. Then we will see what they really think of the bill...

Something I was wondering as well for future reference, I have a TON of Hotwheels loose and in boxes as well as larger diecast cars on shelves.

I like running Porsche club mainly because Dave (my boss) and a couple of other guys i know really well are all super close in times. As they have upgraded their 911's this year I have not stepped up on the MR2, so this next year will be fun with new parts. SCCA offers more competition, but for me personally I get the same level of competition at these events. I also really enjoy the people over at the SCCA events as much, if not more than at the marque events.

A lot of the time in the snow ABS hurts more than it helps, so don't feel too bad on that front. On another note, it's not THAT bad it could be worse. Glad your ok, and lesson learned.

GERMAN POS...can't get the f'ing head unit out
Crossle replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Tech and Tips
There is not a bolt on the back... The last A4 I had to do was wiggle it back and forth and ended up pulling the keys outwards towards the sides of the car and out at the same time and it literally popped out to point I would have fallen over backwards if the seat hadn't been there. Don't give up, getting all 4 to click is a great start, it's a pain in the butt and it hurts my fingers when pulling if I'm not wearing gloves. You may also try to pull on one side only and see if you can get it to creep out a little. When you get it out take your time taking the keys out of the slots it is a pain once the head unit is out. -
http://www.copytoy.com/ Maybe? You are looking for a ipod to computer transfer tool so something under those search terms may get you what you are looking for, just have to find one that looks legit, but i haven't had to use a different one recently.

I'm sitting here looking at prices and the first thing that comes to mind is are you going to install this yourself? If not, $5500-$6000 seems steep on top of labor for installation. I would think that there may be a cheaper option for power that may end up with the same result. I personally like the LT1, I think it is a little under rated in the minds of many people, just like the KA24 motors are under rated in the Nissan crowd. Props for sticking with the LT1, of course I may be wrong and if your crunch the numbers on a roots blower you may find that the prices are close to each other. I personally would rather have a supercharger in this application over a turbo....

It's cool if she wants to drive and all there are some great female drivers out there that may not have been that great, but did something they enjoyed. Not saying that is the motivation, but this thread is an excellent example of why there aren't more female driver's. Shit look at driver's like Lyn St. James who has driven just about everything to some success. And sorry guys, I enjoy drifting just as much as the next guy, but it's not racing (as she stated) if it is judged by a panel of people. It's a show or a challenge, or whatever you want to call it that involved people's opinions. There is no winning by an inch or a mile, it's won via an opnion.

I use idump, pulls the files off the ipod and puts them on your computer music folder. Then itunes will recognize new songs in said folder and pull them to itunes. Then itunes will erase your ipod to re-sync it to the new computer which is cool since you just pulled all the files onto your computer. I had to use it since the used ipod i bought already had like 400+ songs on it and a lot of them were what I listened too. I also use idump when friends swing by and I can pull music off their ipod onto my computer and vice versa....

Actually when it comes down to it Pastrana is the better driver since he performs better than Block during the Rally America season. Block just tends to do more "stylish" things on the side and Pastrana does the nuts stuff.

I feel like nelson is a diamond in the rough. Not a lot of people know about it, the facilities are just adequate enough and the track is a little rough meaning there are lots of patches here and there. It has a lot of potential, but for now it is good enough and thats what keeps it cheap. I have not driven or even ridden around Nelson, but I have walked the track and crewed for 2 24 hour events (not lemons) and have listened to the drivers when they discuss the track.

Come and run Porsche Club, get 2X more runs for less money, and you are there at the event for less time, and it's still local. As far as class goes you would be in "X" class with everything non-Porsche, but it's a lot more fun.
-
Oh and as an after thought so they are moving all the people who didn't have enough money for a Z06 to a class with C4 vettes and S2K's? What gives? Like I said people can't win, they complain, new classes/class re-arranging begins. The E36 M3 is moving down to CS racing against MR2's now.
-
THAT IS SO STUPID, this is why I don't race with SCCA anymore . It's all about winning and that's why there are so many bogus classes out there, they do NOT need that many. If you can't be competitive you bitch to the SCCA and they make you a class. Above is the result of said bitching aka the STR class because people in the other Miata/S2K classes can afford slicks and some cannot. If you can't afford them who cares? You run what you have and until you can get slicks you will continue to get beat. Since when is "stock" having an after market front sway bar? Etc, I'm sure this has been gone over and gone over again, but it should be said here.... I had guys in CSP all bent out of shape when I went out and ran faster than a handful cars on slicks and a ton of suspension mods and exhaust mods etc... in my MR2 on Performance All Season tires, adjustable shocks and a cold air intake, and HEAVY 16" wheels compared to stock. I had guys scouring my car trying to figure out how I was cheating. I came in 3rd everytime by just a little bit, but I bet if I got slicks and a sway bar I may be able to edge a little closer. I didn't complain that my car didn't fit anywhere else...

I agree, but can they turn? lol

01 Elantra - overheats, stalls, and blows cold air

What is the mileage? Could be water pump impeller failure and I believe that is a timing belt car in which case it would be replaced as well. Reason for mileage question is to see if it is right around the scheduled maintenance for t-belt replacement.
