It's a PROJECT CAR of course it is going to have issues and may not be reliable untill they are all fixed. Part of the joy of buying a project car is figuring out what still needs to be fixed. Especially since more stuff will come up once you get everything fixed that the seller lists needs done. He is not listing this as a daily! Free bump for a car i have tried to buy twice!

I believe there is a liability/insurance issue when it comes to hosting an event like mentioned above on your property. Probably paperwork stuff i would guess? Not too sure what the parameters are to set up an event.
