Congrats on the new car. How many miles are on it if i may ask? There are a lot of people w/ F-body cars that should be able to get you a lot of info!
Try washing the car, let it dry and waxing it. My truck was super oxidized when i bought it and it rubbed out really well. A coat of wax works wonders. Don't run to paint before trying to wax it once!!
Hell, we usually pull codes for free if you give us a call ahead of time and let us know you are coming. We would rather pull the code and tell you whats wrong and try to be informative as possible. That is why we have the client base we have w/ no advertising.
No you can't drill the holes bigger, don't contribute to the already huge number of non road worthy cars on the road. Either pony up the cash and do it right, or don't do it at all.
I wouldn't believe it if they didn;t have paper work to back it up. You can replace everything on the motor except the block and claim that mileage. That is quite impressive, almost hard to believe how clean the paint is? Highway miles kill the front of a car. (chips)
Well, when it comes to a small privately owned company it is nice if they can hire people that are recommended by employees. In the end your right it is Dave's job to choose, but he asked us if we had any recommendations. He didn't say Pat HAD to find a replacement. (I know Pat didn't say that above, but i work there as well and Dave also asked me if i knew of anyone)
Well, thats all that I can think of. I'm young, so someone who owns one of the cars will step up hopefully. It just comes down to personal preference and monay.
On a side note changing an alternator on a SC mini is a BITCH. You have to pull the supercharger to get to it. I guess may be somthing to think about when it comes to DIY stuff. The mini's motor is really crammed in there.
Hey Rob, if the bolts backed out, or somthing came apart would it have made a noise that would have told you "oh shit somthing broke"? I'm helping him take this thing apart possibly this weekend, so what IS wrong should be answered, but I'm just curious.
I would think that if somthing like you mentioned happened you would know...?
Please edumicate me a little.
Of course you could consider the difference of driving a turbo car vs. a supercharged car in the snow? Even though we really don't get any to speak of, so maybe not? If you are interested in the "following" that comes w/ buying a car the mini following is HUGE.
Was that through that student site? Thats about what i came up with using the discount.
614streets thats good to know, I am taking all this info in so i can have a chat w/ my boss and see what he wants me to do. I mean he is really pushing snap-on and all, but it is soooo expensive and i wanted other opinions and this is perfect. Thanks a lot for your input.

Fuck being 19 and all the prejudices the "adults" have towards teens.
I.E. Since when is sitting in the parking lot talking "suspicious"?
1.8T, I haven't driven the 3.2. We have taken care of a customers TT since the warranty let up on it. He has not had any MAJOR electrical problems, but that is one car out of thousands. He does drive it daily through all seasons.
Have you checked insurance on a TT or a mini? I would think that they would be more expensive....Of course my rates are different than yours since i'm 19. 2 seat vs. 4 seat?
If you liked the mini, go and drive the Audi TT. Same type of handling and speed, but AWD. TT's are a blast in the snow w/ proper tires of course. The TT is more reminiscent of a miata if you liked the miata a lot. I just don't like the lack of vision out of the TT.
Based on your list I'm assuming they are numbered in order of interest, and you don't necessarily need a car w/ a lot of space.
If you are hooked on the mini you won't want a honda
Check out the Mazda Speed 3 (hatch) w/ the 2.3 turbo, reviews are really good and you have owned a mazda before.
No man shall ever read an instruction manual. If the man does not know how to use the item trial and error shall be used until the correct function is determined (man law).
Lol the ones jeremy would break were like the screwdriver/wrench drawers. Basicly the drawers that are used the most often.
Thanks 614streets, thats really interesting info. Why do manufacturers change their quality of tools between lines? So, that they can have expensive and cheap tools that appeal to everyone?
