  1. Side note, I had a '01 TT at the shop today with the drivers seat rammed up against a car seat in the "back seat". I couldn't move the damn seat back to drive it hardly. Poor kid. Saw "back seat" above and made me remember our conversation about your back seat Jones.
  2. LOL, yep. Couldn't get more than 30 seconds through that shit.
  3. So, how would you react to being spanked in a bone stock '99? Maybe, I'll drive her Miata and show the "crew" how it's done?
  4. Thanks for all the input guys. This can be locked up, we brought a car home tonight. Picked up a '99, 88K miles, almost 0 rust, 1 owner, 5 mt, silver, black top, black interior air, crank windows. Needs major maintenance, but no worries on that front so it should be a solid runner.

    3/3

They took those off the menu recently???? Seriously?? Nick, bring $5. You owe me son lol.
  6. We haz new couch, for better seating as well.
  7. Member of Ohiodrifting.com? That is like 85% of the cars for sale there in various condition.
  8. Those Nissan/Infiniti's throw knock sensor codes all the time, and a majority of them with the VQ motors don't replace them because they are a PITA to change. I understand you have a 4 cyl, but typically knock sensors aren't the easiest thing to get to.
  9. Here is a LS3 in a 911, I really like how they designed the exhuast, but gives you an idea what it looks like in the car. And a really crappy "test drive"
  10. I may be a little biased, but this is a neater swap. At least the cylinders are moving the proper direction.
  11. WHY? I'm agreeing with YOU? lol If you only knew.... Be Brian, like anything with a LSX in it whether it's tasteful or not? Why get rid of a super neat motor in a rare car just to put THAT in it? If it was a car that was shunned to begine with, sure. But that?

    Fuck you all

Meh, standard response nowadays I suppose.
  13. That '92 at Byer's was super clean, minus the scuff on the front bumper, torn drivers bolster, no timing belt service history, and a dragging a/c clutch. And the bottom of the motor/trans was covered in oil, but the VCG was dry. Again neat car, but a premium for what you get which is understandable for a dealership. Another flag was someone driving 4 plus hours to come and look at it and walk due to price. They were going to take $100 off the sticker. A big thanks to Sean (flybye) coming to represent me as the salesperson even though he doesn't work at that particular Byers!
  14. I'm not a purist by any means, but no thanks. Neat engineering, but meh.
  15. Hi Steve, welcome to CR. You should come out to some meets sometime. See you around!

I miss "old Hal", definitely didn't miss this.
  17. +1 for Rock's if you are interested in going new.
  18. No, but I'm sure Erica will see this and be all over it. Miata's seem to be all over the place in condition and price, just trying to find the best combination.
  19. It's in this picture....... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100935
  20. Needs to be '99-'01 era due to price range. Mileage isn't a huge deal as long as timing belt is on record. Plenty of clean ones out there in the range, just checking to see if there is one closer than a 2 hour+ drive.
  21. I was held back a year mainly because my birthday typically fell on the first week of school each year. Which then made me the oldest, or close to it my school career. Can't comment on how I was at that age vs. other kids, nor do I have kids.
  22. I am interested. Are these lots you speak of the size of Cooper....ish?
  23. I guess, I don't care what torque feels like before boost in a daily for a couple reasons. I feel like a turbo in a daily application is to make up for the lack of torque the engine provides. Therefore even me short shifting, I still get into a little boost. I agree that you SHOULD feel more torque before boost in a daily, but I don't think that is how most are designed. Granted I don't get to drive V8/10/12 cyl turbo cars that are "dailies" really. I'm sure those cars would make up for waiting on the turbo to spool, but those cars aren't really affordable to the masses like MOST 4 cyl turbo cars.
