Meh, I assumed you could get a 350 in manual. I think the 250 is a great feeling car, of course I agree with the aforementioned power plant opinions, but overall neat car.

We went to The Ocean Club for Erica's birthday/V-day dinner. REALLY good food, I literally had nothing bad to say about the experience. Nice and quiet for the number of people there. PLUS theyhad our table ready as we arrived 15 minutes early. Typically in the past I would set up a card table with candle, white cloth, and flowers at the house and order a pizza and buy a bottle of wine. We just decided to do it all in one shot this year.

Still a couple of them on some TR6's here at the shop. Dad had them on the ITB cars in the 90's. Still see a handful of them around. They sound FANTASTIC on the Triumph's though.

Just looked at the car (Thanks Kim) it is really clean guys. You know how girls are, they want a perfect looking car, I would buy this in a heart beat, but I didn't think it was "perfect enough" for Erica to live with. The mount point for the leading edge of the rear bumper is gone at the quarter panel. It is not rusted very far up at all from that point, it's mainly just that mounting lip. Both sides are the same. And just the spot on the hood that is pictured. Otherwise, it would be a go. I don't do body work

That's a serious swap to undertake for a car that is your daily driver. Take it from someone with less experience than others on this board due to my age, but do yourself a favor and try to get a reliable car to leave alone. That way when you get angry/discouraged at this project you don't go into "oh shit" mode because you have to have the car running for work. That's how corners are cut, that is what happened on my MR2 and I am still paying for it and it was just suspension work. At least now, when I have an issue with the 2 I can walk away from it on jack stands and make sure it gets done right, vs. "making it work" Just food for thought, plenty of time to mod cars. I am finally at the point that I feel ok dumping some money into modding my cars, I've waited a long time for it, but I am much happier about doing it. Don't get me wrong I am down for seeing a car evolve, I certainly hope your swap is successful. This is one I will be watching.

Is this modeled after that Red 302 Miata that I have seen run various autox/drift events locally? On another note, how the hell have you been?
