  1. Yes sir, delivered from the Plain City store. I guess they carry most of the hardie products, so they delivered all the way to Pickerington.

I'm going to have to dig the real ladders and walk planks out for the gables.

Good choice on the Hardie. Yep that's correct, the Plain City store has more Hardie products in stock than anyone else. That's the location I worked at :D

  2. Since the GMC's aren't nearly as common as the Chevys, I think I'm going to keep it all GMC. But if I ever feel like taking the time to switch anything I would go all out and go with the whole 70's front, which would require an entire front clip swap. Hood, fenders, grille, lights, core support, bumper, wiper cowl, etc. Ideally I would want this if I had the choice....

  3. I sold a set of NOS 73-80 wheel arch trim for I think $800 or $1k dollars a year or 2 ago. The guy said his were in good shape but had 2 holes in each one from mudflaps. And thats why he replaced them....

Is that the factory grille for that truck? It looks odd to me. I know its a GMC but something seems different.

Jesus Christ lol. These were like $45 from LMC. Plenty good enough for me

The grille and lights are from an '89-'91 GMC Suburban.....

I like it and think it looks good, but truth be told, wouldn't be my first choice. I like the '73-'80 front ends the best, followed by the '81-'87 Chevrolet, then a toss up between the '81+ GMC styles. The truck was recently painted, otherwise I would probably swap an earlier style front end on it. I think it looks good enough as is, so I'm not gonna fuss with it anytime soon.

  4. I bought headlight/parking assemblies from eBay for my Silverado; it’s amazing to me how much better the whole front end looks when the plastic isn’t cloudy.

    Truck looks awesome, mang!

    Thanks brother!

I got these from rock auto, they were super cheap. I agree, clear lenses make a world of difference

  5. Thank you!

2002 Speedway White coupe, 26k miles, 2 owner, all service up to date, new tires, pretty well optioned car. I got the original window sticker and bill of sale.

I have wanted one for a long time and super excited to finally have one. Just have dealer photos right now. Havent had a chance to clean it up to my liking yet.

    Hell yes! Looks awesome

  6. How many of you or know someone that: Yelled at a cop, snatched/ripped up a ticket a cop gave you, Cussed at a cop and/or called them all kinds of names, ran away from cops and still lived scratch/bullet hole-free to tell about it?

Now, imagine if a black person did ANY of that what do you think the outcome would be?

Do you know any cops? Have you ever watched an episode of Cops? That stuff happens all the damn time and it's not just from white people

  7. One of my old work buddies, who happens to be black, posted this on facebook the other day.....

Minorities, especially the black community, have been duped into believing that we are always the victims. We keep hearing that society is holding us down, how it's not our fault, how we can't get ahead without handouts. If you're always being told that you can't, you will eventually accept that as your reality and all the excuses will seem justified. And yes, many of us are raised to play the race card and disrespect the police.

If you're trained to view everything through the lens of race, and that everything perceived as "unfair" is because of racism, then you're going to find racism everywhere you look. Including the times when a police officer needs to use deadly force to protect innocent civilians and/or themselves.

It's so easy for some of you to criticize the police (usually without even knowing the facts or proper context) and say what they should and shouldn't do, like you're some kind of expert. If the police were to handle these situations in a manner like some of you suggest, we would have a lot more innocent people dying. Quit blaming the cops and put the blame where it belongs, and stop acting like the police are just going around shooting innocent people for no reason.

It's extremely ignorant and lazy to suggest that a police officer is racist because he shoots a person who happens to be black. The media would like you to believe that the police are targeting blacks and killing more of them, which is false. Look up the statistics for yourself.

I'm a black man that grew up in a poor neighborhood, yet I've never feared for my life during any police encounter. Is every police officer perfect? Of course not, they are human. But the overwhelming majority of these shootings could have easily been avoided had the "victim" simply obeyed the officer's commands, and that's the bottom line.

    Food for thought.

  8. According to Joe, In every single case it was 100% your fault that happened. Do you agree?

You're putting words in his mouth. And going by that train of thought using your logic, you must be concluding that gillbot only survived those interactions because he's white.

  9. For the first time in years, I have a cool vehicle AND free time on Saturday mornings. I was really looking forward to making it out this year :(

Tuttle Mall has a LOT of open Parking Lot Space :ninja:

Yes please! This is literally right next to my apartment complex

  10. I've used Mad Hatter a dozen times over the past decade or so with great results. OEM-style full replacements, custom catbacks, downpipe installs, Y-pipe repairs, you name it. As long as you are still running cats, they will work on it.

The dual exhaust they made for one of my old S10's received a ton of compliments.....

The rectangle tips aren't for everyone, but I loved them, and everyone thought it sounded really damn good. The guys at Mad Hatter will do everything they can to make sure the tips line up perfectly even

  11. Have you tried Northend Wrench?

+1. Hit up Sean (Crossle on CR) first. Not sure of their availability as they are busy.

I took my ‘75 Dodge-chassis RV to Noebull Automotive on Kenny/Henderson road area. They do a good job. Full alignment rack as well. They deal in carb’d stuff. I think a full 4-wheel alignment would be around $100.

Keep in mind that, depending on what the shops are charging, there may be a good, out-of-the-box new carb for your K5 for $300-500 that you might be able to throw on instead of paying someone to rebuild the old one. That’s what I’m doing with my RV.

Thanks, guys. I always forget about Northend Wrench, I haven't been there yet but I have heard good things.

I bought the truck at the beginning of November and put about 500 miles on it. It has a Holley carb and it ran and drove great except for one minor hiccup crossing a set of bumpy railroad tracks that caused it to stall, and took several attempts to fire back up. Was perfectly fine once I could get it to hold an idle, and it never gave me a problem again after that. I'm assuming it was a stuck float, but I don't know dick about carburetors. Maybe it was just a fluke, or maybe it was a sign of things to come. Also there is no choke, which isn't a big deal because I don't drive it in the cold, but still something to consider.

The truck rides straight down the road, but the steering isn't self centering. It's not a big deal, but going around turns on rough roads can catch you off guard at times because it feels like it wants to wander. It's a weird feeling, and I think it has something to do with the aftermarket steering stabilizer. Also the steering wheel isn't on center, so I definitely want an alignment shop to check it out and see where things stand.
