You have to pay taxes for both. My phone auto corrected and to not. It shows Columbus and Dublin on my paycheck. The math was incorrect for 2 years. Payroll called back and found the error. Basically everyone I worked with has been taxed wrong for 2 years... oops. A few did the withholding like Evan, the rest are in for an audit at some point :no: Good news is its fixed and the wife and I will be paying an extra $50 a month in taxes.. and giving uncle Sam $1000. Now to see if I can get payroll to pay the penalties and interest lol

I've been at the same house for the last 8 years and the same job for 11 years. I get audited and they say Ive been paying Dublin taxes instead of Columbus taxes. Columbus taxes went up to 2.5% while Dublin stayed at 2%. So apparently Ive been paying Dublin taxes for the last 8 years, but since they were the same until 2009 it didnt make a difference. A few questions.. How do I prevent this from happening again in the future? My address and everything is correct with my job. I talked to payroll and they said its been correct since forever but would try to refresh it to see if there was something wrong. On my tax information it says Columbus not Dublin so how in the hell was I suppose to know they were not taxing me properly? P.S. I tried to call the tax auditor, but surprise he was a waste of space. Saying things like "you live in Columbus dont you" and "you dont have to understand it, just pay it". My main concern is to make sure going forward it could be fixed but he was worthless... so now I come to CR who can collectively give me more info than a guy that gets paid for a living to do this :fuuuu:

You can still get the job without the experience in some cases. A lot of jobs put that in there to narrow down the field. The right person for the job is sometimes the person that lacks experience because they are easier to mold. Apply anyway, its an automatic no if you dont try... what do you have to lose

Couldnt find the thread, I must have piggy backed someone elses. Here is what happened... 3am I hear voices outside of my window. I peek out to see 3 guys in front of my house standing around. 2 had hoods on, and one guy had on a ball cap. The one guy was on a cell phone and kept looking around like he was waiting for someone or looking out for something. First I grabbed my gun, then I thought to let my trained dog have at them. Then common sense kicked in and I called the cops. We had some home break ins so I was worried my house was the next target. The guys then walked away. I called the dispatcher back and gave them the direction the guys were walking. I thought about going outside to see where they went, but decided it wasnt worth it. I called the police department back in an hour to see what happened. They picked up the kids around the corning doing "something they were not suppose to be doing". I have no clue what it was but my mission was accomplished. Turned in possible bad guys without them knowing who did it so I didnt have to worry about any future retaliations. This happened 4 years ago, no rambo complex here... well maybe a little but I have control over it.

There is actually a thread on here from where I had to deal with something similar. I'll see if I can find it. Zimmerman can follow the kid.. He cant make any kind of contact be it physical or verbal. If he was in his car and got out of it he removed a barrier between the kid and himself. This is the same as opening your front door to confront someone that is not on your property. I have stayed away from the 15 different stories posted after the fact because they cant all be true. He may not be the instigator, the kid could have saw him get out of the car and thought Zimmerman was going to try and rob him... there are 100000000 what ifs. All I got is he got out of his car knowing the kid was suspicious enough the call it in and report it.

They both have a right to be there. If a guy is following you around you will naturally be on the defensive. If this guy initiates contact with you then you are standing your ground against him. It doesnt flip because he is losing the fight. Zimmerman is not standing his ground if he decides to go against what the dispatchers say and confront the kid.

Austin is right guys. Unless Treyvon ran over and pulled him out of the car or initiated the situation Zimmerman is at fault. If he was in his car it sounds like he had the option to not get involved. As all of you CCW carriers should know the best move you can ever make (unless a life is in jeopardy) is to let the guys in blue do their job. If he would have paid more attention to his instructor his life wouldnt be a clusterfuck right now. Your phone 99/100 will be a more powerful weapon than your gun anyway.
