  1. I need someone to slap around and do my laundry. Minimum wage works.
  2. some guys on this board would actually mount a wing that high on the back of a Subi
  3. :lolguy: I can't run for office though. Can you imagine anyone from CR Showing up in public life. The posts and PM's that would come out on TV :fuckyeah: You'd have to come right out and put them out there from day one.
  4. I don't think so. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/147205869/small.jpg Obamacare consultants approve of the above. Keep them part time.
  5. I have a 5 point plan....... :gabe: In all seriousness, Romeny did have a plan but people busted his chops on not providing all the details that honestly couldn't be provided until he sits down with congress to hammer them out. I think he's been pretty clear on how to do it. You have to increase demand to increase product flow to increase jobs. That said, he has to balance the budget and put a solid plan to show others we're going to pay off debt. If not, who the fuck would want to invest in us or buy our stuff. No different that me as an employer, I would do business with a vendor that has shitty credit, $17T in debt, no plan and continuing to spend and who's revenue stream has been flat at best. Make sense so far? That's why Mitt is talking about opening up markets and shoring up trade agreements. Fuck, China alone grew their economy 10% on exports alone by insuring their was demand for goods. Must be nice to have money laying around to buy up our debt and have such power. I wonder why Obama hasn't had that a part of his plan? Perhaps because he has no idea on how to make money....but he sure can criticize Mitt for doing it. Yeah, I'd hate to have a POTUS that could put us in a position to have cash flow like that. There's more to it, but in the end, Obama hasn't been able to do any of the above so it's really no secret as to why the country is stagnate. Romeny has done this his entire life, Obama has never done it and has had four years at POTUS to do it and hasn't. What makes anyone think the next four years would be any different? It's fucking amazing anyone could believe in him. If he was such a good POTUS, then where are the results that back that success? We have companies sitting on ass-loads of cash and as I've already posted not going to spend any of it due to lack of demand in the market place and in part to what's coming in January in terms of uncertainty with tax code. Get ready, because just about everyone on this board is going to be paying $2k more minimum in taxes thanks to Obama. Not going to spend any of it if healthcare reform is coming down as that's not going to be cheap and is only going to crush our economy even more. Again, amazing that Obama and his campaign have spent millions on talking about what the other guys' plan and not about their own or about their history of how it's worked and being seen in our daily lives. Hmmm.....
  6. ^^ correct. nor does it count those who are underemployed.
  7. I don't know how anyone over 18 not living at home could afford to take a $9hr job. WOW.
  8. You'll start to hear more about franchised locations as time rolls on. Obamacare isn't going to change the points you made above too much. The doctors I serve are already talking franchise models as is our company and even other insurance companies. Insurance companies already have the covered lives, they have the doctors as their retail locations, why not buy up the docs in the form of a franchise and go all in. Even employers are opening their own clinics. 3M, BP, Cisco, Panasonic, all have on-site clinics. Picture this: Primary care practices being to establish a fee structure outside the insurance framework. In the case Kirk could own practice and charge families like mine $XXXX a year plus a $20 scheduling fee to provide managing chronic diseases, standard exams and lab tests. He could offer other services as needed and charged accordingly. One aspect of the future of healthcare to help keep costs down will be a direct pay model whereby employers offer a direct pay subscription to employees and in turn they would be exempt from the additional tax charged for not offering health insurance. That's being discussed and is a viable solution for many businesses. What Kirk is referring to is happening today under the current insurance system. Docs are forced to see volume of patients just to get $.25 on the dollar return for their time. That's why you see your doc for all but maybe 5 minutes when you go to see him. Otherwise, their staff is the one who really cares for you. Patient Milling is nothing new. The above is happening today in my industry. That's why so many doctor clinics and buying groups exist.
  9. that's certainly one option and one I would hope they pull off. however, my faith in washington is low. my faith in Obama to rally this to an agreement is slightly higher now because he's really in the spotlight on it. so far both sides have one heel in the ground.
  10. OWEbama called to support his reinstatement on CR.
  11. that time was 12:01am and yes, IMO we're headed towards another one. but hey, the market is on sale now so buy up while you can.....
  12. ^^ this. combined with Obamacare the above is something I have very little faith the majority of the less educated that voted for Obama have 1% understanding of nor give a shit about. That's why I'm pissed. He's was a master at rounding up voters that are less than informed. Like I said, of the 150 plus people I have working under the roof where I'm at, the majority of the worker bees voted for him and likely are going to pay a price for doing so. They have little clue. In the end, oh well I guess.....
  13. Both in Springfield and the higher elevations of Eugene. The medical building is in Springfield and the house and apartments are in Eugene. Yes, we are looking to eventually retire up there. We own 5 acres adjacent to my Brother in laws house overlooking Eugene and will likely build our retirement home up there. Costs are lower now but still crazy high. I wish I bought more up there years ago. We're staying put where we are until the kids are older. Perhaps high school age but maybe after. It's a good tough problem I suppose, because like everyone we want more and can actually afford it but are holding firm in our decisions. I'm hoping to dump some land we have north of Zainyville but the cost per acre offered to mine it are still going up so I'm waiting for the right time. It's not marcellus shale but there is gas there. One capped well and offers coming in. Fingers are crossed.
  14. Sadly true. The fact that the minorities are no longer the minorities, and with that I'm fine. The part that I'm not fine with is they have brought the bar down not raised it up. It's no longer the American dream to do better for yourself. The dream is now spread the wealth and take from me to pay for those that don't have what I've earned and to hell with thinking they too can achieve those same goals. Why do that when you live off the backs of others and try and force them to accept that as a new reality.
  15. That's because she's likely racist and would never vote for a black man.
  16. I have 2 properties in Oregon with my brother in law and sister in law running a family medical practice up there. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make sense to look into selling weed up there :gabe: Photography is doing okay Property investments we're good My full time gig, business as usual Wife retired and exercising her bing cherry ass everyday, perfect Potentially of selling drugs legally, very enticing.
  17. I will be once I have a meeting with my finance guy and attorney next week to discuss increases on our rental properties next year and what they are going to look like. I'm not taking the hit, I'm going to pass it along just like everyone else will.
  18. really? the line of business I work for in my company makes medical devices too. I know the changes that will be impacting my people and it's sad. I feel bad for them as many of them I know supported Obama. I wonder if they will finally put 2 & 2 together when the changes come. we put a hold on 400 jobs and the expansion of two more locations until after the election. I believe we'll still move forward on the two locations, but not necessarily for the people that may initially come with the acquisitions. http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2012/11/02/obamacare-election-medical-device-tax/1675093/
  19. Picture this: $4B company 500 call center jobs 650 manufacturing jobs All currently based in the US. In less than 2 years, will be producing products over seas and establishing a call center over in India. Looking to make changes to their labor hours in all depts to move from full time to part time. Looking to hire a lot more temp to hire. Why?
  20. 6M americans sucking ass from an EBT card called and 53% of them don't give a shit about these they'd much rather be making money and living the dream. Sadly the other 47% said they are living the dream. Yeah America, where driving more people into poverty, raising taxes, raising costs of good and lower incomes and putting more people on food stamps equates to doing better and getting re-elected. :dumb
  21. Get some nice sexy pics of that young brunette sunbathing again :gabe:
  22. Yes it truly is the Presidents fault. The man is a leader and supposed to be influencing others to better themselves. Regardless of what's happened under past presidents, this guy has a role and needs to begin living it. However, that would be contrary to what his strategy is so rather than raise the bar and move upward, he's lowering it to move forward.
  23. What metrics are you using? We still don't have any more jobs than when he took office as the unemployment rate is still effectively just a tick under 8% no better than when he came into office. Our national debt is up over 80% from when he came in and he continues to treat it like the checkbook is endless. Last I checked, we're all still taking it in the ass with gas prices and on the cost of just about every good we buy. Gas is nearly doubled in the past four years. Add to it the real family income numbers are down. We have over 46M people on food stamps. Think about that number...46M americans swiping and EBT Card at the Grocery store. Up nearly 45% from when he took office. Those numbers don't lie and tell the real story. If we were better off that number wouldn't be up. 6.4M living under the poverty line. WOW! I'm not saying it's all doom and gloom and nothing has gotten better but as a leader, his effectiveness is so poor the small gains we've had are not effectively making life in America a better place when looking at the percentages. And if you don't think we're on the verge of another depression then you aren't following what is looming come January. If this guy can't foster a decision whereby the leaders in congress can agree we're sure to see a dismal Q1 next year. He better hope the Republicans don't "vote with vengence" and fuck him and their constituants and let it happen. Part of me hopes they do as America has obviously adjusted their sense of pain to where life today is okay and as you say, better than four years ago.
  24. Talk to any HR person and they will tell you most large companies are moving towards 25% minimum of the premium being paid by the employee. Our company is at 20% moving to 25% next year. However on the HSA plan like I've been on they fund it for us every year and there's no premium. My company HQ is in Cali and that state is preparing for a huge hike in premiums under the move to state exchanges. https://winteryknight.wordpress.com/2012/11/01/california-obamacare-exchanges-will-raise-health-insurance-premiums-up-to-25/
