Too bad there wasn't a crazy mofo there in fear for his life when he saw that then decided to open fire on him. Would have made a great news story. Friend would have had a great you tube video too.

Title of: Thief eats his own shit to avoid street justice They should have beat the shit out of him....even after he ate it. :masturboy:

IMO they should still be scared. The company has been a mess since 2007 and even with the bailout that the taxpayers still haven't been made whole on they were very mismanaged and ended up in bankruptcy. Sounds like someone needs to "get tough with China" :gabe:

Viper. Call Pickups Plus Cars. Love mine. It's your girl....hook her up and get her the remote start for her smart phone too. I just started mine as I plan on leaving in a few minutes. Works from anywhere so long as you and the car have cell signal. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/130482078/medium.jpg

perhaps..and you're right, they saw the guy as sober......or they just moved a guy who's had something to drink but isn't drunk enough to be clearly under the influence. Believe me, there are plenty of times where people have had 1-2 drinks, aren't drunk, yet still drive (not that I condone it) but aren't drunk. However, if they answer said question and say, "yes officer...I've had 2 drinks tonight at dinner but am fine" I think you would agree they just increased their odds of having a bad night and an expensive situation that could cost them their job, home, car, wife, a ton of time and money, etc..... Again, no thanks. Say nothing thus even if you are pulled out and given sobriety test, you can't be charged with providing false information by saying "no" and chancing it as even if you blow a .04 you're likely going to have rough night going forward. When in doubt and allowed to stay silent, do so. Again, DUI checkpoints are not there to help you and anytime you're involved in a situation with a law enforcement officer, even if you're a lawyer, let another one do the talking for you. If one isn't present or needed at that point in the situation, stick to your right to stay silent. Much wiser move and ANY Competent Lawyer will tell you that.
-
I respectfully disagree. To take 5 minutes to exercise your rights at a DUI Checkpoint and inform the officers that you are NOT going to answer their questions doesn't make you wrong or horrible. It's easily done in a polite respectful way. Reverse the roles, if you walked up to an officer filling out paperwork while parked on your side street and asked him what he was doing there, where's he going and if he was working or just killing time, he'd likely give you an earful. Rightfully so and the underlying reason is the same...you have no place nor do they.
-
^^ Well said. There's no big deal in saying that you're not going to answer their questions. At that point you've done nothing wrong that would lead to feeling intimidated in ANY way. At that point they are going to try and get you to engage in conversation / talk in some fashion to aid THEM not you. They will then have to assess through your mannerisms, speech and eyes if you warrant further action. If not, they will cut you loose. You only have to fight the battle in court if you are indeed drunk enough to warrant a sobriety test and are then found guilty. If you're not drunk and are simply on your way home from dinner with a coworker or wife then you don't have to answer ANY questions nor should you. EVERY DUI attorney will tell you the same thing.....'don't say ANYTHING' as it will ALL be used AGAINST you. So even if you are tested and arrested SAY NOTHING. Let your lawyer do the talking. I agree these guys were likely just trolling to troll, but I'm way more tolerant of these vids as their actions were cool and they weren't being ass-hats in any way.

and it's a fact that he would have been better off to shut the fuck up and not give said statement until after consulting with his lawyer. It's likely the cops "convinced him" that they were there to "help him" avoid going to prison, blah, blah, blah.....no thanks. He should have said he will be glad to provide a statement after consulting with a lawyer and that until then he isn't going to answer ANY questions or say anything further. Even if he was arrested, that's okay because in the long run he likely did himself harm by putting ANY statement out there. Again, who cares if you're arrested and spend a day or two in jail if the alternative is speaking without a lawyers who IS THERE TO PROTECT you to speak on your behalf. Dumb.
-
You obviously misread "whenever you are stopped by the police" I clearly don't recall writing "whenever you call the police for help" :dumb: I stand by the fact that when you are pulled over in a DUI or a traffic stop the police are NOT there to help you. You're right homeboy, they are looking for Evidence....and NOT evidence to help you get out of the reason they pulled you over. In traffic violations they are looking for evidence to support their role in court which is to support the prosecution. Cops don't write notes about my reactions, behaviors and statements during a traffic stop to protect me. My wife started off in the prosecutors office for several years. I know the drill from the inside. I've never seen a cop write a ticket then go to court and side with the driver in order to get them out of the ticket. Anything you say can and will be used AGAINST YOU. It legally can't be used to help you as it will be objected to as hearsay.

I've already answered this but in the end, both of the above served as good reminders to those that serve and protect that there are no different than you or me when encountered in situations like this. I wouldn't answer the questions they ask if you asked them and it's no different because they are wearing a badge. The law is on our side in terms of okay, they are squeaking by in terms of pulling us over randomly, but that's all they can do outside "asking" questions. I'd sooner hand them a note that says " I will not answer any of your questions " and just simply continue to point to that note. The last time I was pulled over was for changing lanes without signaling. NOthing huge, etc...but when the officer walked up he asked for my license, proof of insurance, etc...so I handed them over and then he asked if I knew why he pulled me over and I refused to answer. He simply said, ok and then told me why. He was cool as was I but in the end, I'm not going to put something out there that he could use against me. I have no idea where that stop could have gone so why risk it. They have ZERO authority to force me at that point to talk. Just go do your job and be gone.
-
I don't think the guys in either of the videos posted were out of line in any way. I normally would support this side of the law and defend checkpoints because I feel they do catch drunks and even if it's one it's enough. However, I just as strongly support the fact that you don't have to answer any questions and that police aren't there to help you in any way if you are one stopped. They handled their situations perfectly IMO.

http://abcnews.go.com/2020/t/video/police-sting-cops-undercover-stop-drunk-drivers-17290114 The entire story was pretty interesting. They go even further.
-
because then you're on record providing information and that information WILL be used against you. remember, ANYTIME you are stopped by the police they are NOT there to do anything that will help or benefit you. They are there to find guilt, period. I've only ever been through one once and I had nothing to drink so I'm fine saying no. However, even if I had one drink 6hrs prior I would refuse to answer. That way nothing can be used. Nothing. They have to make their decision based on trying to get you to talk so they can evaluate you. Simply do what this guy did, so no to any questions and ignore the repeated questions. Demand to know if you are free to go as you would like to leave NOW. Make that NOW clear. They have to make a determination at that point.
-
^^ this. easiest thing to do regardless of your situation is to just find out where they are and avoid them.

Michelins michelins michelins and likely a few more Michelins michelins michelins which seals the deal. Thanks everyone. Will have to put a review up on the differences and opinion on how she handles. Getting them installed Friday.

How to get ready to protect against Zombies at home!!!
TTQ B4U replied to ChevyMan1972's topic in Pics and Vids
Not too, too bad. We paid $1,700 for a Computer Armour and $2k for a nice 8ft Dresser in our bedroom. Solid stuff, good quality and functional. Most good stuff that you buy just once isn't cheap. This piece has a bit more functionality and details related to usage. -

Living in a swamp like Florida isn't enough that he had to put water all around his house for bugs to bread in. No thanks. If I was going to build a place like that it wouldn't be in Florida.

To help everyone. No doubt Derek will see this and chime in.

I could. but hey, I'll give him credit for doing what he enjoys...writing checks to fix problems. At least Christie ® is doing his job and Obama is there to watch how it's done. I don't have a problem with them living there but IMO they need to be self insured vs continually having insurance companies cover them and the rest of us picking up the tab for homes built in areas that shouldn't be built upon. Thankfully since Andrew some insurance companies have pulled out and many raised rates. I use that percentage in jest for obvious reasons. In the end, regardless of the number, we all know who and the type of individuals that statement is targeting. Poorly said but his intent was towards those sponging off the system not who are getting what may be due to them.

New Orleans is/was a shit hole and needed to be wiped away NYC is not Financial Value/impact in every way associated with New Orleans is polar opposite of NYC The population of NYC is 8M vs. New Orleans < 500,000 47% :gabe: of New Orleans'ers were too dumb / poor to evacuate; New Yorkers are smart & got the fuck out; those that didn't are tough as nails. New Yorkers get shit done and make it happen thus TV rolls on; New Orleans'ers are professional victims & like Obama couldn't bail out a tub let alone their own asses in crisis. I could go on..... One good thing about the news being worried so much about Sandy is atleast there is a small break from the election BS

With the shitty Goodyear RS-A's on my Fusion Sport 1/2 gone (they sucked when new), I'm looking to upgrade all four before the weather really takes a turn to slippery. Price is no concern so if you had to pick a nice riding yet good handling all season rubber for a car that gets tons of use, what would you pick? Looking for good opinions on to get me started on selecting a quiet but good performing tire. Thanks!
