Depending on the details of the lease, that's $2k-$4k of markup they are then using to buy down the lease. They aren't losing money on that deal either that I'm sure. Thus I stand behind my pillaging of America on this car by GM. Either way, you have a very nice car there.

Agree on the politics of it, but the fact that they are sucking wind selling them shows the real "value" proposition isn't being realized in the real world with buyers. Seems to me GM tossed money into the mix to buy a higher residual and likely a lower rate on the lease too. Delays the inevitable though. Not what I would call a good move for GM but it is getting you the consumer a better deal. Although if your wife only drives 4-5k miles per year in it, I'm not sure MPG's are really an issue to worry much about. Good move on leasing it though. Way better than buying this type of car in your situation.

is this the first time you've ever used this system? hell, I've not gone to the desk at the post office off 161/Nicholas Drive for years. They've had this automated system down pat since 2005 or before as that's all I've ever used. In reality I rarely ever initiate a postal transaction any more. Even boxes as I usually ship those from work via UPS.

That's one BIG reason I will never buy one. I don't like over inflated costs on items like this. GM Priced this thing at what $40k because they can and knowing that the rebate will in turn lower the price to the consumer. That's BS in my book. By using it as a cap cost reduction on the lease is another BIG BS move. In the end you got what is a fair deal for you, but IMO it should be a $30k car and the rebate shouldn't have to be used to reduce the monthly. I should have that option if I choose, but knowing leasing like I do, I never would. Toyota did the same thing on the Prius and knuckleheads all over gave up the money to own one. My sister in law being one of them. No way is a Prius anywhere near a $28k+ car. Great car but to me a GM Fail in many ways.

Was home in Dublin attempting to watch the news but the kids were working off their last bit of adrenaline from the day so no one at my home heard it. My conclusion is that Kids>Sonic Boom

Yes/No. If a cop goes 70-75mph no one cares and everyone just moves the hell over and let's him go by. Then the rest of traffic can then flow between 65-75mph and life goes smoothly. Dicks like today just cause everyone to get frustrated and pissed and drive in bunches and then when he leaves hell breaks loose and all in all it's more dangerous. LEO's who act like 10-15mph variances on the freeway is the end of the world need to loosen up IMO.

I kinda feel that way but mainly when they act like 70-75 in a 65mph zone with light traffic is a big deal. I thought of Clay today as I pushed past an OSP on 71 north coming back from Cinci today going 72mph and he gave me the hand gesture to slow down as I crept past him. So I just dead locked the cruise next to him and helped HIM clogg of 1/2 mile of traffic behind us. I hate ass hats like that. They cruise at 65mph and cause a Thanksgiving Day traffic Jam to occur. Worry about cars going 80-85 flying past people unsafely, not the regular commuters just trying to keep traffic flowing. Fuck! 80mph is flowing traffic is safer than 55-65 mph traffic filled with road ragers trying to zap the dicks in front of them blocking traffic as they putz along with laser beams coming out of their eyes. Needless to say I'm sure he heard the 3-4 cars including me floor it when he hit the exit ramp. One was a pretty loud Mustang that took the fuck off

I don't care what anyone says, everyone is racist to some degree. Who gives a shit, move on already. I don't care if either one of them hated the other for race reasons or not, stick to the evidence.
