  1. Great lighting. I hope others here notice the idea behind great lighting is to not even be aware it's being used.
  2. Yeah.....they do that too. :gabe: Had to give some love to Satin's Char Chariot. Wheel balance all the way around and a few misc BS items that are quite a PIA on this thing. Now she rolls as smooth as new. Thanks guys and see you next week with the MS3. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/142796794/original.jpg
  3. If you popped him in the head with a .22 cal. hollow point hunting pellet you'd do more than just give him a bug bit. I've split many skulls of ground hogs with mine. 1,150 fps and pretty much nearly.
  4. I'd hit 'em. They were dirt cheap from what I understand. WTF were those boys thinking? I bet they were wishing they just paid them and told them to GTFO.
  5. but it least your new car runs. I look forward to the vids.
  6. ^^ and tell him that he even thinks of running, the now 70lb pitbull mix at my helm will chase him down and the end result will not be pretty. Especially since he has a very protective set of friends, one of which has four legs, also wieghs 70lbs too and the other is me. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/142785372/original.jpg
  7. Definitely talk to your parents about a good alarm system with a cell back up to it. Of course nothing is fool proof, but it goes a long way and is way better than nothing at all. My parents are in their 80's and for them it's not only a security device but a medical / safety thing too. They both have transmitters they can carry too thus if they fall or something they can press the buttons. Well worth the $35 or so per month. I took the dogs for a walk the other day when it was really windy and when I left I set the alarm but one of the doors wasn't locked or click shut all the way. Needless to say the wind popped it open because the storm door screen was down and the alarm sounded. Within 1 minute the alarm co. calls our number which I have set to ring all our phones. When I picked up I told them to send the police just in case it was real. When I returned less than 5 minutes later, there were both a Dublin and CPD officers clearing the house and scouting outside. That's my one free-bee false alarm notice for the year, but at least I know it works.
  8. but my choice would be to wait one more year and pick Demi Moore. /thread
  9. May end up posting a pic of someone I know  gotta get permission though. Sorry, not at all interested in seeing dudes get posted. :gtfo:
  10. Just got the notification via NBC4. What's everyone's take on Ryan Seacrest essentially being seen as the new Dick Clark?
  11. So my son and I took a walk with the dogs prior to dinner and he decided to grab one of my cameras. No problem, he enjoys practicing and while it's not his thing really, I think he's got a good eye and encourage him to take one out and have fun. He actually did quite well! I snuck a few shots in there too with one that I happen to really like. Camera: 11yr Old Sony DSC-717 http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/142753975/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/142753976/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/142753974/original.jpg
  12. I'm no where near a detailing guy. I tend to use what I have around since my cars are all daily drivers. Wash Clay bar w/clean soapy water Dry the surface Meguiars Polishing Compound or foam pad/9" Buffer Two coats of Tech Wax applied by hand buffed with a microfiber 9" pad Detail Spray (specific for black paint) - Works great! I did a side by side on the hood which takes a large amount of road abuse and I got very good results with about 90% of the swirls/spiders out. The sides came out very well with nearly 100% of the spiders out. I love that "wet paint" look on metallic black.
  13. The biggest pain is just cleaning out the crap from a wife and kids who live in the van :fuuuu: The inside is good though. I have 3 layers of mats down on the floor. It's mostly just a weekly dredging of all the bottles, wrappers and crayons that makes it a PIA.
  14. One panel at a time...... It's big, black and pigged out. I think it's last bath was last fall. However, it's not been too bad of a process. This year I'm going to do a few body panels each night after dinner. So far I'm just under 1/2 way done. :fuuuu: Sneak Peak Here In a little different fashion than I normally present things.

congrats on the decision. Not only a kick ass car, but one that you don't see floating around very often. In for pics for sure.
  17. Makes the shit in Arizona seem like nothing. I can't embed this video Insane!
  18. Duh! :dumb: I guess I should read it vs. just look for the highest number
  19. Any stock baseline numbers?
  20. Watch out for the park police and where you step. They are pretty anal about things there. :fuuuu: Pics look great Trish!
  21. I have both and they are good too. The reason I went with Maha is side by side fully conditioned, then charged the Maha's hold a higher charge longer. I let a set of each sit for a little over two months and the maha's were at 99% where the Eneloops were at 97%. I know it's slim and over a longer period, they may equal out, but I kept mine all Maha's just for warranty and exchange reasons. I will give Maha 100% credit for their customers service. They replaced several sets of my 2700Mah AA's that began to fail after a hard year of use. They offered me like for like or Imedion's at no charge.

  23. The spring here has been great so far. Lots of very nice temps with low humidity yet a good amount of rain at the right intervals to keep the grass green.
