  1. Craziest thing I've seen happen to someone on CR. Scarey Crazy. I'm speechless.
  2. LOL! My daughter had a similar reaction to Avacado; only it came back up with the rest of her lunch.
  3. I would have fired a series of simple questions off to him. How is is that I wasted your time? Is there further information you would like that I've not provided? Have I not been more than responsive to your inquiries? Did I miss an email or a call that involved scheduling a meeting? Was your expectation that I come to you? Did I miss that somewhere in our emails? What exactly were you looking to accomplish? I'm looking to sell a truck; are you interested in buying mine or not? I'm confused. Let him stew on that shit. Sounds like he was never real.
  4. Not a fan. Just give me a normal stock looking one in a solid color. Maybe blue w/white stripes at the most.
  5. You got that dodge up and running yet? In Vegas at The Palms tonight. No cooking for me
  6. Haven't been around much to process many but I'll lead off the week with family stuff My daughter at soccer. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138145188/original.jpg One of my son getting ready to score a goal! http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138145357/original.jpg Not the best photo but I love his true grit determination expression. He really played his ass off this week http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138145355/original.jpg
  7. hot water on a mouse while glued to a trap? Now that would be a site for my wife to see. Me making mouse stew. I prefer a little Italian seasoning followed by a dusting of Parmesan cheese. Then a few minutes in the toaster oven. :fuckyeah:
  8. Haha at the PETA members concerned about a mouse :lolguy: Glue traps are not catch and release devices. Don't believe me, stick one on your hairy bals and then try and humanely remove it. Let me know how it works. Yeah, I whacked it over the head to kill it. Just happened to have a flathead nearby. Better than leaving it alive plastered to a tray to starve and dehydrate in my trash can. In terms of the method of killing it, honestly doesn't matter. Drowning takes minutes, whacking seconds. In the end, dead is dead and last i read there's no memory of pain felt in the afterlife.
  9. Damn nice transformation for sure. I did that with 2x the surface area being it was our minivan. Definitely a labor of love. Well, love on a Cobra, not so much love on a van other than I have to drive it now and then. The good news is if you keep good care of it, the next go-round won't be much at all. I plan to hit ours again before winter just so come spring it's not a bitch like it was this time.
  10. So the wife and I suspected we had an unwanted house guest as for the past couple days, both dogs have been acting a little suspicious and sniffing around a lot. With Patches being part terrier of some sort, he definitely was tuned into it and was the most active, but our Boxer was tenaciously searching the finished lower level too. Yesterday we noticed they were sniffing at the couch and thus I pulled the backs off of it (they remove) and extended both recliners. There I found a small amount of mouse droppings and about 6 months worth of shit from the kids; including.....popcorn. Bingo. I'd move in their too. So at midnight I went out and stocked up on about a dozen traps including some snap traps and glue traps. I suspected the bugger came from the lower level as years ago we found a mole down there. I set up a couple traps under/inside each couch and some glue traps along the walls. I only had four hours sleep so I didn't suspect too much would come out then, but she was waiting for lights-out. Opened the door to the basement to find this :gabe: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138200437/original.jpg A small female field mouse. Couple whacks on the head with a screw driver helped cure this problem. I'm leaving the traps all set up around the lower level, in the furniture and under some furniture in the kitchen just to be sure.
  11. I have several. The Canon backpack is my standard carry. I also have some LowePro models and carry the smallest size with minimal gear possible. Costs are higher on the better ones, but they tend to be worth it. Be aware of weatherproofing too. Nothing like getting caught in the rain with a bag that isn't weatherproof.
  12. Here's a shot of my wife's kindle from this afternoon. Took this in moderate direct sunlight. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138173550/original.jpg
  13. Mine wasn't damaged. They applied the band aid at like 10k miles on the ODO. They can replace it for free but that's not what I was nor will ever be interested in having on a car. BS. I don't need the issues of having a tranny replaced. Outside the car thing, my life is way, way to busy to be spent jerking around with warranty work. Honda isn't what it's cracked up to be in all cases. IMO the civic was the best thing they had in terms of value. The Accord I had was really a nice car. However, I had to go through and fix a ton of squeaks and rattles on my own. I ended up dropping the entire roof and pulling the seats / carpet and appying dynomat everywhere. It was as quite if not better than a Lexus when I was done with it. Noticeably different than stock. No thanks. Gave them a try and didn't impress me. So far the Fusion has been bullet proof; and I beat the hell out of it.
  14. child support would own you. cheaper to keep her. :gabe:
  15. Damn Berto!! You're showing everyone how to take a small little Nikon and how to do some big things with it. This last series really kicks ass.
  16. Sounds like you willingly commingled your money and assets thus it was no longer just your money. Hopefully your attorney explained how that all works. Don't take it personally. Marriage is a partnership just like a business. Assets need to be treated just like assets in a business partnership.
  17. Being my wife deals with this stuff every day as a Family Lawyer, I feel like I've seen it all. What we see most is one or the other stops working at it. We've been together for 21+ years. We lived together first for 3 years and don't regret a thing. Marriage is never 100% stress free utopia. It's a commitment that has to be worked at like job. Once you get married, the key is to remember any decision you make is about the other person too. In many cases them first. If you look at it and don't take them in consideration or put them 2nd then that's exactly what you're telling them. It's not rocket science really. Our commitment is to work at it like a job and stay true to each other. Hell, we have two kids, so it's no longer just about us and we know that. Now life and decisions become about them first and then us and balancing everything with trust and respect most always insures success. Cliffs: 41 and 43 year old that have been together for 21+ years.
  18. This is the #1 reason I was mad about my 03 Accord Purchase. Here I went and paid for a great looking loaded up new car only to find a band-aid fix to an issue that I was not aware of when I purchased it. Every now and then I wish I still had that car, but times like this and tons of others that I know going through Transmission issues, I'm not.
  19. Regardless of the outcomes, they are all bad ass cars. Having the money to own more than one of them > any other car beating you to Kroger. If I won the mega lotto, I'd have a nice size stable of cars. Only need one kick ass fast one and today it would be that Underground Racing R8 :fuckyeah:
  20. Kindle by far. If you are looking for it to read books there is no better screen on any environment. Way better than paper even. My Wife has the latest genertion and I have the previous one. We bought wifi and 3G capable ones. Service has no monthly fee. If you want to surf get an iPad or like. The aren't good for books though. Well no where near as easy on the eyes.
  21. Your old car was just too much of a POS then? Looks good. Nice intro. You'll do well here.
