That's awesome. Some of the best memories as a kid were when my dad and I put a racetrack like that together and then the Lionel Trains around the outer perimeter of the table. I worked on that with him adding more details up through high school. How I wish I still had that....

^^ this. My Audi just had a repair where coolant dripped on Cycl. 3 from a leaking heat exchanger and it was clean as a whistle. My dad used spray misted water like that on his old carb'd cars.

Brilliant! Added to the mix Gotta put up a bunch and narrow it down

Looking at what I'll throw away money wise helping the BMV employee people. Toss in your thoughts. Perhaps we should move this to the kitchen Here are a few I've put out for consideration

do it. open her up a few times along the way. when I did the 270 loop I pinned her at 108mph a few times
-
Vacuum line. I did two loops around the block pissing off my neighbors just because

8mph over and he wrote you up? that's lame as fuck and IMO is a perfect example of a directive to increase revenue above protecting the people on our roads. I get they have to generate funds, but there are enough people on the road driving dangerously to make those funds while at the same time protecting the rest of us. I respect what they do but in that case they are embarrassing themselves. If that happens to me I'm going hand him my blue-line support sticker and tell him to provide it the person directing them to ticket people for such shit and that I'll put a new one on when I calm down.

I seafoamed the minivan prior to a trip to Georgia two years back. Did so because she was returning horrible MPG's and seemed sluggish. I definitely feel it helped and probably could use it done again without harm. I gave it the Italian Tune up run around 270 for about 45 minutes after doing it. By the time I got back from the loop she was running better. Continued to improve after 8hrs on the freeway. Gets my vote for a good job. From there I've also used Chevron Techron in the fuel at every oil change. Not sure if I notice anything good but for the money, given it's age of 11yrs and 120k miles I don't think it's wrong to do it.

^^ this. Highway Patrol are dicks about it. Columbus doesn't seem to care. The Cop that responded to my accident after my car was hit didn't care 1 bit and thanked me for the blue line sticker I had on my plate. He did warn me though that the tinted cover would give me trouble with the highway patrol. I asked if he was good with it and he literally said he didn't give a shit. I ran a tow-hook on my Audi and thought it actually didn't look bad. I won't go without one only as Kerry has noted, I don't need to give cops another reason to pull me over.

I agree That said, the Accord is a super nice car now. If you want an AWD Accord, just go buy the TL as they are now about identical cars.
-
meh....I think tapering a nice fine line will be easier with paint. Pinstripe is easy enough to remove if needed. I don't see it coming off anytime soon though.
-
^^ very likely. On mine if the designers were "sharp" they would have put the radar system on the other side of the car. Perhaps they need it on the opposide side of oncoming traffic though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
AWESOME! I like it and made the call. He comes out to me too which is great. I'll be sure to keep you posted on how it turns out. Small project but I think a good fit.
-
Thanks! Plate wise, I don't need to give the cops another reason to put their eye on me. I wasn't happy about the plate mount being installed but the tech showed me how the tow-hook mount I usually go with would interfere with the forward facing radar unit.

Doesn't ring a bell. The only two options I'm missing are the carbon fiber mirrors and spoiler/lip and then a Dealer Installed Stillen Exhaust that while nice I passed on because I'm old

Thanks! So far I'm really enjoying the new daily. Did a mock-up of the headlight trim I'll be adding. Have a cool idea for the mirrors too. Very subtle but something to dress her up and make it different. Gotta love my ladies with eyeliner on. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/166688529/original.jpg

Anyone here know someone who does pin-striping or details like that with paint? I have a couple ideas and want to work with someone who has good skills. Thanks!

Well, it's a done-deal and there's now a sweet little S4 soon to be on the market. Welcome home to my garage today a 2018 Midnight Black Metallic Q50 Red Sport 400 AWD loaded up with all the options including the Sensory Package and ProActive Package and a bunch of other goodies. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/166690353/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/166690344/original.jpg

main reason is price and leasing sucks. I'd own one but I'm going to lease the next vehicle. I'm going to use the equity in my S4 to buy my wife and son a car next year and once the lease is up I may just buy a toy for me Update: I've driven a shit-ton of cars and SUV's Yesterday I drove an AMG E43 but was less than impressed for the money. It's not a true AMG Either. Then I stepped over to the Infinity Q50 Red Sport and for the money and with the crazy lease deals going, it's about where I'm going to end up. Checks all my boxes just like the S4 and while it's not perfect, neither is my car. That said, the savings for me will be big in comparison and the new 2018's have some minor refreshes that make it a pretty sharp looking car with plenty of stock power. High 12's at 111mph put it between a Stage 1 and Stage 2 S4 but in stock form. Going tonight to see the one I've picked out and to negotiate their aftermarket exhaust as they offer 2-3 different ones. Picked out a pretty nice black metallic one with black leather and with Infinity supplementing the hell out of the leases it's about the best bang for the buck I've found. They have some leftover "new" 2016's even but I'm not going to buy it. The 2018's have a revised suspension system and a few other goodies that make it nicer too. http://www.thedetroitbureau.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/2018-Infiniti-Q50-interior.jpg

because an update on my suburban dad issue is why you all logged in and clicked: dreams of an 11yr old not crushed but shifted. wife and I have talked her out of a small ferret or something stinky and agreed that we are both good with a small dog to hang with the two we have now. we have the room and our current two are fun, clean and great pets. Nothing larger than 25lbs perhaps a Boston Terrier, etc or whatever. It really won't matter so long as it's not a Ferret
-
Trying to talk my wife and daughter out of one but I'm really open to one if it's something she and her can manage, etc. I don't want to crush dreams but I'm a creature of habit and like traditional pets like our two dogs best. If you've had one, have one or have cages, accessories, for them please chime in. Doing my fair share of web and youtube research but first-hand with you all is solid information I'd like to have. Thanks!

I know....it's me being silly. Those features are a bonus/trade-off in some cases. I looked at two more Tesla's today. P90D and a P85D one at a dealer the other a private sale. They are so far the only cars that will check more boxes than mine but the costs are nearly double what I have in mine. Prices seem to be dropping though so they are looking a bit better. The main reason to sell mine is I have lot of equity in it doing me no good sitting in my garage and I can sell it and buy a car for my wife who is due for one. I'd lease something for 2-3yrs and then once hers is paid off I'd likely get another toy or perhaps another daily. All in all though, you're right about the value I have in my garage today. Near perfect for far less than anything I've found thus far.
