Is there a parent who fails to warn a daughter to be wary of men in vans? Is that sexist as shouldn't they fear ANY Stranger in a van? Woman can and have kidnapped kids just the same right? Again, common sense, that's why. Sorry but not profiling, regarding everyone as of equal threat, is foolish and dangerous and treating everyone as if they are NOT equal threats is just as stupid.....but hey, it's politically correct right? When I was flying to Vegas last week I watched what had to be an 85+ year old man get pulled of line for a additional screening. He was told it was purely random and I'm quite sure it was indeed random and just TSA following SOP. He and his wife were distraught as they didn't appear to be frequent fliers like me, but apparently his number had come up, and no matter how absurd, the procedure, he needed to be checked because heaven forbid we "offend" anyone. When all airline passengers are equally suspect, surveillance is diluted. That's a fact and stupid. Time spent harassing this old guy could have surely been better spent don't you think? To an extent Kerry, I would agree that profiling can be unavoidably unfair. But it's common sense and those so targeted need to understand it is a fact of life that those who resemble those who threaten will be viewed with suspicion. Again, how many people here have dogs that others call "pitbulls" and then are treated as such? Group membership matters and symbols convey information that shouldn't be ignored. Wear gang colors and tat yourself up and act accordingly, and yes, you are going to get noticed. In fact many times what people get noticed for is exactly what they want to be noticed for. If not, gang members would drive around in tan colored stock Camery's all day long. Just realize that and stop the fucking whining when you are noticed. What are the stats on blacks shot by black officers vs white officers? What are the stats on any citizen being shot by any cop as it relates to their behavior - compliant and sensible or argumentative and violent? which behavior is more likely to get you hurt by a cop?

In black areas of town, yes more blacks are going to be pulled over. More whites are pulled over in Dublin for the same reason. It's also no surprise when you go into the hood and see a bunch of POS Cars with violations just crying out that a cop is going to take advantage of those self inflicted exploits to pull them over. stop with the stats games as it can be played both ways. at the end of day, if you fuck around causing trouble when pulled over or fight with the po-po, you're more likely to get shot. it's also just common sense when a young black men commit homicide and crimes at higher rates that cops are going to police their areas more and yes, more busts are likely going to happen but those busts aren't based on color but on actions. agree, color of their skin isn't why crimes are committed but it is a factor that does play-in when those very same people make a choice to commit the crime. they don't get a pass for any reason; THEY still made the CHOICE to act badly and contribute their skin color to the statistics. again, target profiling in certain areas isn't wrong IMO. I'm sorry but the average suburban family in a minivan driving down Livingston isn't likely going to attract the same attention as a couple of black teens in a beater with a broken tail lamp and if they are both pulled over a cop isn't likely going to approach the situation the same throughout the stop, in all cases. Although I'll side with the cop as typically when I've been pulled over they are "on-guard" just the same. They chill-out sooner though once they can better assess the situation . you might not like it but it's a fact. Ignoring obvious things just to be PC is dumb and will likely get you killed quick. but if it makes you feel better Kerry, then you're welcome to continue the madness you preach. Walk around bad areas of town all day man and feel like you have a force-field of protecton on because you're a cool-cat all you want. The reality is you're just a naive. we have a duty? what? Those "plenty" of people must keep to themselves a lot as the clear representation across various media outlets is they are not publicly condemning or standing up as you note. I don't think people are against the original intent of BLM but when they as a group or movement don't come right out and aggressively denounce those that many liberals say are "just a few bad apples" doing shit in the name of BLM, then they come across as accepting those bad apples as their own and in essence agree with them. That is what's happening and what's being seen thus why the push-back. I would agree that BLM isn't equal to the KKK as the KKK has come right out and said who they are and where they stand on their position. That is really irrelevant though as while BLM says they stand for one thing, their supporters and their own in-action shows things differently. In other words, at least with the KKK we are all pretty clear on where they stand; BLM is hiding and seemingly avoiding the reality. As you note, BLM also has a "duty" to be very clear about your reasons if they don't want to be perceived in a way that is less than flattering. Evidently millions are still left with what you might claim is a false perception; thus it is correct to state BLM Should be better.

IMO this technology just makes sense. Why should police endanger the lives of others by engaging in a high speed chase when the suspect can just be tracked?

iMessage isn't but it's not really necessary is it? My Androids have had wifi calling for years now thus I can send and receive text messages over wifi such as when flying to Cali. It's really just a matter of ensuring my iDevice family members have their phones set up to use both iMessage and SMS at the same time. Yeah, the first 90 day thing is odd and they explained it to me last time too, but in the end, the credit comes back to me on my bill so I really don't care. Not sure in your case why you wouldn't be able to buy two of the same phones. For use we swtiched from WOW cable too and upgraded our cell plan to unlimited data, etc. All-in it was a $151mo savings to do it. Would have been more but I'm keeping my WOW Internet as it's super fast and flawless for us.

Gotcha. Where I use it is say in the car. I'll have the GPS on top and a multitude of things below. For the sake of criticism here I'll say a music app. On airplanes I tend to watch movies and surf at the same time. Now we can even launch both simultaneously. Silly but makes sense. I also like being able to text message someone like my wife on her iPhone and copy my son who tends to use other apps for messaging as now the OS gives the ability to send the same message through two apps at the same time. There too, at least they recognize people tend to have families using two different ecosystems or means of communicating and now they have addressed that in a good way. Fair enough. I"m more of a power user I guess. I don't mind Bixby. Stupid name, etc. but it does what I want it to do. Fingerprint wise, it's not bad. Ensures I have a great grip on the phone and a simply swipe up with my index finger opens Samsung Pay, then with the same finger and positioning, I can authorize the payment. Being next to the camera doesn't bother me as I always wipe off the lens before taking a photo. Wouldn't matter where the print reader was at. On the back is actually way better IMO than the home button. Again, both are fast and great. 1st world problems for sure. Kinda like deciding between a low 14 second sedan today. Lots of choices.

Squeeze sides? On the Note, the side app drawer is great. I have my screen configured with Nova Launcher Prime and nearly every app I use is either a simple gesture or a swipe away. I'm blown away by the screen too. Color, clarity and brightness are off the charts even at 60% which is where I usually keep it. I put the phone on Medium Power Saver which is 70% speed and it still flies and I got more than enough time. 6am to 11pm and still had 20% battery left with medium usage that day. Good luck with the iPhone. They are nice too. Not sure if the new iOS allows custom configs but I love being able to use gestures to call open apps. Swipe up and my dialer/contacts appear. Double tap and text messages opens, swipe up on work email opens my work calendar, swipe up on a folder can open my favorite app in that folder, long press on email offers me the options to create new, etc. Even the new Bixby can macro into the phones menu, etc. So when I'm at the office I can tell Bixby, "I'm at work" and she'll forward my phone to my desk, turn off GPS, connect my phone to the PC via WiFi and put my phone on vibrate, etc. with one simple command. Very convenient. I did get a new SIM Card with the shipment of my new phone but I already just swapped the old one into the new phone. that said, I'm having a problem getting wifi calling to set up and activate and I'm wondering if it's because I'm not using the "new" SIM Card. Both of course are the same cell phone number. I just was too lazy to install and activate the new one.

Don't. Just picked up my Note 8 and I am so glad that the temptation to move to iOS didn't last long. Instead I picked up two on a BOGO offer through AT&T and converted my son. He's 14 and a total tech geek and is blown away. My guess is he'll be showing me stuff soon.

We can measure the thickness and give it a once over. IMO it's well worth polishing out the entire car, less the front clip/bumper(s) that you can then have resprayed easily. If you want to tell if it's single stage, just grab a dark color cloth and any cleaner wax you may have and give it a few wipes. You'll know right away.

Come see me, we'll do a test panel and see what can be done. You know what can be accomplished based on a handful of what I've posted here.

My son and I are getting new Note 8's Monday and I have an older Note 3 from AT&T that I want to give to a friend of his who's family doesn't have much money and uses a month to month or pre-paid plan of some sort. My Note 3 was bought new and always ran on AT&T. Anyone here know how to unlock it from AT&T's network or if the store will do it for free/charge? Just curious as I'm not looking to get hit by all the bullshit spam sites out there as I google for a solution. Thanks!
