No text to speech is the technical term for when it says the street name. I think above it just means it will say Turn right in 1/4 mile or whatever.

Just an idea for a tryout start with a 30 pack of PBR and Jay and Silent Bob Strikes back dvd. Any time the word Fuck is used or someone sings a song take a swig. You should be able to finish all 30 beers by the time the movie is over. A few times you might have to pause the movie to count the number of Fucks and take your swigs.

So I found something that there is a hack to use USB devices on the moto droid. I couldn't find the original thread over on the droid forums so I guess I will ask here. There was a good NES Emulator I read up about that plays 98% of Roms without problem. I have an NES Controller that is USB game pad. Any idea how to get this working on a droid and a emulator program to use it? Just was curious.

I am looking for a car GPS. The only requirement is it MUST READ the names of the streets when giving turn by turn directions. Also must include the window mount and car charger. Other then that I don't care. Let me know what you got.

Try burning something other then a dvd movie. If that fails or does the same thing you probably need a new burner.
