  1. tonight was kinda weak saw a few sick cars but no good action really im gonna hit up crosswoods and melt my tires if there are no cops prob an hour or so after then show gets out
  2. Thursday-saturday are usually a burnout park/ parade of sick cars same with 161 and busch also sometimes over on sinclair and morse there are alot of good spots up here as well as 161 and 71 by the freeway bridge
  3. I live right up around all that I have seen a ton of cars already today im gonna go check out crosswoods in the 5.0 around dinner time

  6. finished the car today let it run for about 15 min filled it back up with coolant during that time and changed the oil before it has the same typical 4cyl valve rattle that it did before no wierd smells or leaking fluids put about 10 miles on it so far hopefuly everyhting stays together. Is there anyhting I should pay extra attention to after I put a few more miles on it? any sounds I should specificly listen for? Thanks and sorry for so many questions this is my first time doing a timing belt by myself.
  7. can anyone give me the torque specs for the tensioner/idler bracket/ pulley and the torque specs for the crankshaft bolt please? Thanks
  8. My buddy has a 1992 sho green/black leather 5 speed 213k miles on it only thing that ever rusted out was the stock mufflers on it detail it up and it looks great only minimal wear on the driver seat the thing is pretty quick
  9. coool thanks man I got the new water pump on and everyhting else that was apart radiator fans etc back in all hoses hooked up im gonna wait till tomorrow to put the new belt on and what not

  12. The write up on autozone is junk its for the sohc model and tons of shit in it is different.
  13. cmon over and help then man seriously i got the shit apart except the crank off i just didnt want to get in too deep by myself. once the crank is off the belt should slip right off and new pump goes on and new belt goes on right? any tips? anyone want to come over sunday and help or somehting? Thanks

  17. I have had the same storm for almost 6 months now and have never had one problem with it at all, sorry to hear about your bar luck man, these phones seem to be hit or miss.
  18. put about 50 miles on that oil change hot idle is down to 22psi....even with the 20w50
  19. I live on 161 in old worthington so the vanilla ice will be out with turbines and slicks in the back haha
  20. I changed it with castrol 20w-50 oil pressure is solid now ahaha
  21. okay well mine hot is at around 30 at 200 rpm Rob I seriously need to talk to you about pulling the motor and stuff, I know you are busy and I can do the bullshit work like actully pulling the motor and putting it on a stand and all that but I would need you to pull the crank and do bearings etc... im free for the next two weeks IF if had the room at home I would just do it here and bring you the motor PM or call me anytime and lets get somehting worked out asap

I have a nearly stock 1988 5.0 gears headers intake etc.. stock internals and today i noticed that today at idle (800rpm) the oil psi was below 20 on my autometer mechanical gauge nearly toards the 10 side 10w30 oil in it car(prob about due for an oil change) running a tad over 180, is this normal as well any ideas or is the motor about toast? never has any wierd sounds comming out of it even when the gauge was reading low at idle I got out of the car and popped the hood motor sounded perfect still. Time to rebuild the bottom end?
  23. I recommend it and try to find the jumper harness that I used makes things 100 times easier
  24. HAHA no thank god everything seemed to be great car is so much smoother and seems to pull harder all around.
  25. well I got the mass air conversion done today, A big thanks to Gearhead Rob for helping me do it and being an all around great guy used the jumper harness pretty plug and play Just used a stock MAF for now to make sure it would run right http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp283/Stimmel302/massair.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/pp283/Stimmel302/harness.jpg The car idles waaaaaaaaaaaay better and the throttle response is alot better as well as all around preformance Thanks to rob for helping thanks to hoblick for giving me the mass air meter and tube like last year and ryan for giving me a killer deal on the computer Heads and cam to come soon.....
