  1. I had the driverside replaced about a month ago and the passenger side is on order. I had my CD player replaced, driverside door gussets and the remote beeper because it got stuck on one day when locking the car (that was sure annoying). I will definately have to tell them about the brakes. I had no idea that they could be covered. Thanks again- you have saved us some $$.
  2. Thanks. I actually have more replacement struts for the rear on order now to be replaced under warranty. I will complain about the brakes when I take it back for that. My car has been to the shop a lot lately for warranty replacement items.
  3. We always got the same run around when we wanted to test drive a WRX or STI. They wanted to check our credit first and see if "we could afford it". I love to drive up in the biggest pos car and see the kind of disrespect you get. If they treat me bad, I don't buy from there. Spaceghost- the brakes are under warranty? Mine have been making scraping noises for about 4 + months now.
  4. Due to babysitter problems I won't be able to attend tonight's show. 2 tickets for Shaw-Blades at the LC, show starts at 7 pm. Includes on stage seating pass that I won from QFM. Make me an offer. I would hate for these to go to waste!
  5. We have a Civic and you can imagine how angry some people got about it going under 11.5.
  6. In our past experiences with my hubby's car, he could get by with it once or twice depending on who is "paying attention". He would have to slow it down after that though.
  7. Are they having the win $25,000 towards a new car contest this year? A friend of ours won the contest a couple years ago but I haven't heard any advertisements for it this year.
  8. We've used Netflix on and off for years with no issues. Going to a Blockbuster store isn't that handy for us since we live in the sticks.
  9. We offered to go pick it up or extra $$ to meet us in the middle and they said no way. No way in hell I'm buying a car sight unseen. My hubby flew to Philly today and bought a car from a very honest guy. I guess there are a few left in this world.
  10. I recently ran into a scam on Autotrader. There was a very nice CRX listed for sale in N. Carolina for $2100.00 including delivery. The person sent a sob story about how she was in an accident and her husband and son were killed and she became deaf. She wants you to wire her the money then fax back the confirmation. It even went so far as to look like a finalized transaction from e-bay motors, but the dates and links were phony. FYI- beware of people requesting wired money.
  11. Thanks. I couldn't remember his last name for the life of me.
  12. My hubby would love to swap you sometime. He wanted an EVO but I am a Subaru lover and it was my turn to pick vehicles.
  13. Sliptech- Did you used to be the representative that sold VP at the track a few years back?
  14. The only thing I noticed when I first got into driving Subarus (used to be a Mustang girl also) is that they tend to be a little more RWD oriented. They tend to fishtail when you push on the gas a little too much. I like my STi because it has the active center diff. Our roads are always snow covered where I live and I just lock in the diff. and go.
  15. Anyone remember the artist for the song "Butterfly"? I always liked that song but can't remember the artist.

    EVO VS STi

I drive my STi daily and love it. If you're girl is anything like me, she will like it.
  17. I always dreaded these questions: What's your best asset/worst? What did you enjoy/dislike about your last job?
  18. We head out there once in awhile since it's not too far from our house. A free pass would be cool.
  19. We had a consultation with a surgeon before he decided to go ahead with the spinal decompression. He had a before mri, and mid-treatment mri and you can definately tell the difference. Another mri will be coming up soon for him since he's almost completed with his treatments. My husband's case was very severe and worst than most. The surgeon said he needed surgery immediately but he's doing great, without surgery.
  20. I think both machines are a great alternative to having surgery. My husband's case was very severe. I'm very grateful he has had good results. He was able to return to work in about a month and I'm sure surgery recovery time would have been considerably longer.
  21. I knew the machine was quite expensive vs. the machine you have. The machine he's on actually pulls on the lower portion of his body creating negative pressure in the herniated disc. The negative pressure encourages the herniated portion to be "sucked back" into where it should be.
  22. This is the machine that my husband is on and has had good results. It's quite new and his insurance classified it as experimental and therefore wasn't covered. It was worth the out of pocket cost though. It sure beats surgery and being on disability for an extended period of time. http://www.axiomworldwide.com/DRX9000.aspx
  23. The machine my husband is on actually "stretches" your spine, not just traction or inversion.
