So after smashing a crater of a pot hole on River Rd a few weeks ago, I found myself with a blown tire and two bent rims. It was no Nascar pit crew but had the spare swapped in 15 min. Insert dinky innuendo here. So dad mobile got a much needed new set of shoes. These are the Jegs new Resto-Rod wheels 17x8 4.5 backspacing. I went with the Polished lip with gray spokes. Tires are Douglas Performance all seasons 235/55r17.

My bad broski, it's been a crazy year. I'll have to fill you in. But car seat is front facing now so hopefully I'll be making up some miles this summer.

Hey all! Old member from CR. Haven't been in the scene for a couple years. But now that my daughter's car seat is finally rear facing, the fun car is back in session..... sort of lol. Quick rundown below: Let's start with the fun one, 1995 s14 1jz-gte swapped. The daily, 2001 Grand Marquis, aka the dad-mobile. The new project. 1989 F350, soon to be workhorse/camp truck.

Fishing season was decent this year, but I ended up skunking out with hunting. Went for dear season but didn't get to go for much else. I was too preoccupied with the new job and prepping for the arrival of my daughter. I am hoping this year will bring a different story to that. Now as far as cooking squirrel, the best way I have found is to bread and pan fry it like chicken. Then make gravy from the drippings and serve it up with some mashed taters and green beans. I don't care who you are, that's good eat'n!!!

I would have to agree with Steve on this one. When it comes to the quest they really are a bit of a throw away kind of car. Once you've put all that time and effort in it, he would not get his money back out of it. I would suggest scrap and buy a new, or at least new to him vehicle. Hopefully one that is more reliable than the quest.

Meh, they couldn't even put mud tires on it, come'on man! That suspension would be pretty limited too so don't know how "back road" that would get.

So sorry to hear this man, it's a shitty road to be on. I have not had it first hand with my wife, but several of my family members have had their bout with cancer. What was said is best, try to be supportive, staying strong for her, keep stress off of her. But when it comes to you, leaning on your friends and family is what its all about. People will be more than willing to help if you just ask. Even if it is just to vent, don't bottle it up, as it will only make more stress for you and her. Outside of mental support, physical support is one of the best things you can focus your efforts on. There will be days where she is just not up for anything including taking care of herself. Even the littlest things like a piece of chocolate or some pediasure when she really doesn't have an appetite. Or drawing a bath for her when she's feeling achy. Consuming your efforts into helping her will go a long way for the overall morale.

I use to port cars in way worse shape from Buffalo to Cleveland all the time. If you wanna pay me for the time, gas, and flight out there, I'll drive it back for ya

Well due to the new arrival I will unfortunately have to put car plans on the back burner. But once I am able, Next step on the 240 will be a good bit of tlc. Need to fix a power steering leak, and coolant leak that popped up this past season. Will be doing valve seals as well. Once all that is straightened out, next step will be sending the stock twins out to have them ported, polished, and stainless steel internals done so I can safely turn up the boost on the ol' JZ. Current stats are 325hp 12.06 @ 118. I would like to shave off a full second. I would love to see high 10's in the near future, but that will take a bit of time and some better tires.

My my my, this is so tempting!

Tim summed it up nicely. It really depends on what you are wanting out of it. But for what it is I really do enjoy mine. I have the 46mm of the Samsung watch. It complements my s10 quite well. As he mentioned earlier the text pad is shitty. It does allow you to speak to text though. The functions for calling are awesome. The speaker is a bit quiet in noisy conditions but clear just the same. The range on the receiver is quite nice as well. My only complaint is it will not allow you to open most apps on the watch itself, it simply gives notifications of the app, or the option to open it on your phone for you. So using it independently of the phone is limited to mostly health tracker, calls/text, and weather. Overall it is a decent setup for the money. I was really surprised at all of complements on it when out and about. The finish is very Sturdy as well. I have yet to scratch any surface including the screen (knock on wood).

That thing is cool as hell!

Yes, this actually works. Something about the movement and the flashing from reflection

This isnt my house specifically Howie, just an example. Plus, if it is in his lean-to then only person who would see it is him anyway.

This has worked for me in the past. Best part is the cost is typically free if you still have a few CD's and some fishing line laying around.

In for tool boxes as well.
-
Nice! That would make for a fun lightning clone or just a badass "shop truck"

That's awesome. Never hated cops/patrol, just the revenue pushing they usually account for. There is so much more that they do with no gratitude, So  in my book. I will however, continue to support my local jurisdiction one citation at a time
