  1. 98 Pontiac GP, 3.6 50,000 miles. Driving home today battery light comes on, pull into driveway and now won't restart, batteries dead. I "think" I remember seeing a post that Auto Zone or one of the auto chains will test the charging system to determine if it is charging. I guess this could be the alternator or just a old dead battery but want to be sure. Suggestions? Thanks, Ron

  3. Any info on who does the coating, polishing or powercoat? A new polished upper is not an option. Thanks, Ron
  4. The TrickFlow FI upper manifold is a rough cast at best... I was going to powercoat but would prefer a polished finish. Any ideas who can do that? Anyone powercoat any intakes? I talked to the guys across from Jegs on 11th and might end up there. Thanks, Ron
  5. I'll do the pump tonight and let you know. Pressure has always been good and I don't have a clue about the bearing clearances, we're not going to break it down until this winter. I'll get back with you. Ron
  6. Can't figure out what the problem could be. Replaced stock pump and shaft with a Melling +25% pump and hardened shaft. Less then 3000 miles and about 30 1/4 mile runs in the low 12's shaft broke again. Both times at the bottom of the distributor. Both broken shafts look like a Barbers Pole (twisted), the first pump had a small piece, about 1/8" square of gasket material stuck in between the rotors, I haven't taken the second apart yet. Anyone experienced this before in a 302sbf? Any ideas? Thanks, Ron
  7. Any news on when the Mopars will be in town???
  8. After "I" made the mistake on the axle part numbers for the AI Mustang and installed them, we found there was something real wrong with why the calipers wouldn't fit. Took them back (box already trashed weeks ago) and exchanged them for the right axles. No questions, no problem when it was my mistake. Really never have had a problem with 11th Ave or Main street stores. Ron

  16. Dude... make the garage your first concern when reviewing your plans. There are always a couple feet you can find by moving a wall. Make the laundry smaller, make the garage bigger! Push out the front, rear or side. Another 6 feet will make you happy... do it now! You can't change it later. Good luck, Ron

  20. My problem with this is how this jerk got into the school in the first place. The principal should be kicked out on his ass! Whatever security the tax payers are paying for should have someone take a good look at it and proper changes should be made. Perfect example of why we have the school "kills" we read about! Ron
