  1. people just aren't paying much for used cars these days--especially highly modded ones or 'swapped' cars. if you wanted to get $8-10k, the car would likely sit until the right person came along. i just sold my '87 fox for $4600 a couple months ago. great exterior, great stock interior, ported GT40 head/cam/intake/full exhaust, tremec 5 speed, suspension work, etc. i had no bites at $6k. as soon as i hit $5k on autotrader, every dirtbag in the world came out to dip their balls in my mashed potatoes. sure, the car was not a turbo car, but i had 15k miles on the drivetrain. some people avoid swapped cars because they assume things might not be done as well (wiring, setting up the subframe to accept the drivetrain, etc.). or because they'd rather not complicate things like having to mix and match things from two cars when there are turbo foxes on corral.net in the same price range all the time. either way, the car sounds like a pretty sweet ride---i'd hang onto it.
  2. damn, talk about clutter in your garage. welcome to the site. car sounds fairly stout
  3. not sure why i dislike the spelling orthopaedic, but oh well. welcome to the site. you should have just taken the MCAT judging by your age. post some more info on the car welcome.
  4. welcome. good looking car for sure. tasteful mods. welcome to the site
  5. post some pictures of your car, tell us more about yourself, etc etc----pretend this is an interview.

modifiedpowerwheels.com yes, a forum dedicated to just modifying power wheels. the battery was ordered from ebay--it was $20 for a 12 volt battery, that lasts much longer than the existing 6 volt one. i cut away part of the chassis to make the battery fit. it requires a 30 amp inline fuse because the battery does not have a built-in fuse, like the power wheels battery does. i use a car battery charger (schumacher from vatozone) to charge them. total cost of the mods are less than $30 and the car will move-out like no other. literally, it doubles the speed. i'll take some more pics of the chassis, and find a link to the batteries. you have to use sealed batteries (tons of info on the site linked above), so they don't leak acid if the car ever flips, or battery falls out. kirk

trust me, money isn't everything. kids are awesome. they make me laugh, and enjoy/look forward to coming home from work more than the thought of driving my cars (there, i said it). i'm sure things may change when they're in their teens.

my daughter's kawasaki can top that both cars are modded now--12volt swapped, although the girls now have a jeep and mustang. eventually, the wheels 'strip' and have to be replaced--too much power.

tonight i was bathing my twin girls (almost 3 years old), and getting ready to bathe our one year old boy. i was in the middle of rinsing one of the girls' hair, when my other daughter started pouring water out of the tub onto my leg---i yelled at her. then i realized my boy had walked over and was pissing all over my leg for a good 5 seconds. i apologized to my daughter for yelling at her.

depends on where you are. plenty of nursing positions open at the hospital where i work. like austin said---don't go into it just for the money. the medical profession is a lifestyle, not a career--doesn't matter whether you're an rn, lpn, md, etc---its a lifestyle.
  12. wait at least 4 weeks before you start any creams/etc on the wounds.
  13. glad to hear she's o.k. those scars should go away, and will likely be completely unnoticeable---kids are absolutely amazing with the way they heal.
  14. well, if you can't afford a dog, you shouldn't have one---period. you need to hear some asshole comments, as well as experience a swift reality check. with $34 to your name, you should be more concerned about how you're going to pay for the basic needs of life (food, shelter, clothing)---not a dog. leave the dog at the pound-- you might love the dog, but you've proven you cannot provide for it
  15. +1000 if you look at the people who currently don't have health insurance, they are much more likely to be massively obese, smoke cigarettes, and engage in unhealthy/risky behaviors, that lead to hospitalization---this is a fucking fact. the more i work, the more the government takes from me to give to people listed above.
  16. if money's no worry, go to svtperformance and buy someone's cobra that has 800rwhp on it already---plenty are available on the site at any time. most of them have better pistons in the motor, a built solid rear, and upgraded clutch/input shaft for the transmission, and many are either big, big blower, or turbo. sure, you can make 800rwhp with a 2valve mustang GT, just like you can strap a rocket to a piece of shit and make it go fast. he will have to replace every single component of the driveline on the 2000 to make it work with even 500rwhp, let alone 800rwhp. your boy sounds like a 'dreamer'........or maybe just not too intelligent, or both.
  17. seriously?? he didn't pass it, he jammed it down everyone's throat. that bill will completely mess this country up, guaranteed. its a blatant paycut for me and everyone else in the healthcare industry. i just hope people in my field have the sack to team up and either 1)go on strike, or 2)unionize. imagine if you took a loved one to the hospital in an emergency and no one was there--everyone decided to go on a two week vacation. name another profession that has seen steady pay cuts every single year since the 80's change.
  18. fuck him. he's taken tons, and tons of my hard-earned money and given it to all the lazy freeloaders in this country---all the while telling me (right to my face) that he's working to make sure i earn less money, and work harder to earn less money. he's started the decline of health care as we know it. as far as i'm concerned he might be a terrorist planted in this country to purposely fuck it up---and all the morons voted him in because it was the 'cool' thing to do.
  19. so what you're saying is that you'd be a close race with a 2011 v6 mustang??
  20. +1 for the chicago location also boizau in tampa. all with the same setup, and virtually the same salad bar/menu
