  1. i have a hot dawg unit in our 3 car garage which is completely insulated. not sure how many btu's but it is obviously a vented gas unit--this is the first winter we'll have it working. in my big shop i have a modine unit, that i think is 100k btu, but i'm not sure. its huge and has no problem heating the 36' by 52' garage to 70 plus in the dead of winter here in wisconsin without breaking a sweat
  2. uh............ probably a good place for the proper authorities to start their search
  3. did you eat a lot of paint chips growing up?
  4. this and post some pics, info about yourself. pretend this is a job interview (at mcdonalds).
  5. there is no hope for humanity
  6. i still have the stock clutch on the cobra and have not broken anything (yet). your statement above is invalid if i'm driving both cars equally, the driver mod argument does not hold. i'm sure the cobra is faster, and probably by more than i'm leading on. the vette feels more smooth, feels like it weighs 600lbs less
  7. this. all the shit i did to my cobra (600rwhp), and its likely only marginally faster than the z, and my z06 is stock. if you wanted to do absolutely nothing more to the car, it will beat the vast majority of cars you would run into on a daily basis.
  8. there's all kinds of family, brian. and that's a decision YOU'RE going to have to make. hector just bought 3 spoon engines
  9. i'm in the same boat. want to get back into snowboarding, and i've always just rented boards. $500 sounds good for everything seeing as how i don't plan on doing anything crazy, and still have to get shit for the rest of the family
  10. i'm guessing that GT500's pulleyed as well.
  11. "i'd eat a mile of her shit just to see where it came from" -anonymous
  12. he's a car nut for sure, and loves modding them. i worked with all different hand surgeons in the city. you can't go wrong with brent bickel, james popp, or ray wurapa. they are all hand specialists, who do nothing but take care of problems exactly like the original poster's all day long every day.
  13. call dr. brent bickel 759-1186 with cardinal orthopedics. he specializes in hand surgery, and is a friend of mine. he will take good care of you. tell him kirk sent you.
  14. i had 500rwhp in my cobra with a $700 blower port, $250 boost a pump, $500 in tuning/dyno time, $150 for my intake, $400 catback, and $400 for miscellaneous (pulley, blower belt, plugs, etc). why would you spend $20k in upgrades to a GT, when you'd be at or beyond the price of the GT500, which is a much, much better starting platform. for the vette, its really not that difficult to get 500rwhp, and get the car's weight down around 3,000 lbs. less weight, means less stress on all drivetrain components
  15. good intro. welcome to the site. time for some more boost.
  16. by a fairly decent margin, it is better than the preceding shelby's--
  17. amazing. i still have to get one of the big technic sets from the lego store whenever my wife hits the magnificent mile in chicago
  18. i frequent svtperformance.com the natural progression is from terminator cobra to shelby, to c6z. anytime a thread comes up on that site where someone is talking about trading their shelby or terminator for a c6z, the overwhelming response is to buy the vette--and that's from a ford site.
  19. if that were the case, i'd buy a lambo or ferrari, and have a merc or bimmer for a daily. i like bang-for-the-buck power, and modifying cars. i should technically list the caddy as my wife's and i actually sold the '87 a few months ago, so i need to update my sig.
  20. seems like a pretty good deal to me, surprise its still around. lol at the previous owner jacking up the rear with 2 iso's per side. an easy fix.
  21. i love threads like this. some people are just destined to attract lower quality women, because, well, they are lower quality themselves. if i'm reading the op's information right, he calls himself "steven" (probably gay), is 22 years old and sells cable TV (damn, i'm surprised he doesn't have supermodels beating down his door). he also works as a 'personal trainer', which means he is likely that annoying guy at the gym, who actually creeps most of the women out, and thinks he knows everything when it comes to working out. if i've 'pegged' you wrong, i apologize.
  22. unfortunately not, when it comes to rape. even if found completely innocent, its a charge that changes your reputation forever. if you had two identical job applicants, would you hire the one who was found innocent in a conceal/carry lawsuit, or one who was found innocent when accused of raping a minor?? be honest with yourself. there's a reason rapists/child abusers are beat the shit out of in prison. on a side note, i'm surprised no one has even commented on the fact that the chairs don't even match their kitchen table in the picture
  23. go to corvetteforum.com, you'll see guys buying z's (still some brand new '09's on the lots) for crazy low prices, like $60's. a z06 should run 11's with a capable driver, no problem. the vette gets attention like a mustang will NEVER get. my vote goes for the z-06, hands down. my cobra has quite a bit more power than the vette, and it feels like i'm dragging a boat anchor in the cobra, compared to the vette. the vette handles like its on rails, stops on a dime, and absolutely rolls out, on the freeway
  24. both teams made mistakes. miami made at least two horrible throws, just as osu's special teams made two horrible plays. the two other int's were decent throws, just great defense by osu.
