  1. wowsers. he should really go for the kenne bell mammoth inlet for that blower---it relocates the inlet to the driver's side and is less of a restriction impressive
  2. i actually agree with rick on this one---could be anything, absolutely anything--but most likely nothing. just go back for the repeat labs, and i'm sure they'll be normal. some lab values/medical information are more helpful when looked at several times over a long period of time, and others are more useful when looked at in real time, just once. liver function tests fall into the category that are usually looked at over a long period of time (to look for trends), unless they are really abnormal. in today's "sue happy" environment, doctors are forced to cover their ass more than ever--that's why the repeat tests were suggested---to cover the ass of the doctor in the 1 in a million shot that they actually signify a true abnormality in a healthy young man stop freaking out (avoid the internet), and go back for follow up tests kirk
  3. nah, i don't have the time, patience, or meticulous mindset.
  4. i'm assuming this is the resistor in question?? http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9595/s3500017dp7.jpg
  5. background:: before i left for tampa, hal sold me his old bassani exhaust off his cobra (since he switched to a solid rear). i didn't need the exhaust as i already had a catback (and am also going solid rear this year), but i have a bassani midpipe, and wanted the matching catback since its better quality than my MAC catback---hal also gave me a price i couldn't pass up. as you can see below, hal likes to do burnouts--as evidenced by what turned out to be solidified rubber all over the stainless tips. http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/9752/s3500026sz6.jpg http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/6353/s3500030iu5.jpg i sanded the pipes with 220 grit, then 400, 600, 800, 1000, and finally 1500, with a dewalt orbital sander. it actually didn't take that long. fairly pleased with the results. here's a tailpipe after 220 grit http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/746/s3500031hg8.jpg finished product--my shitty 'car camera' (wife won't let me keep our other camera out in the garage) makes the pipes look a bit grainy http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/7004/s3500035ku0.jpg i sanded the rest of the pipes to 600. and yes, i park my cobra and GTO on carpet in the garage http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3773/s3500040eo7.jpg overall, the car sounds incredible--no more drone on the freeway whatsoever. i'm amazed at the high level of quality that bassani produces. the exhaust practically installed itself. quality band clamps, with absolutely no clearance, or fitment problems whatsoever. thanks again hal. cars in my new garage http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/5773/s3500045fi7.jpg some more shots of the garage, finally settled into tampa, only to move in less than a year http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/4662/s3500046le7.jpg http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/3851/s3500049sy4.jpg
  6. damn dude, you totally owned him on nerdy computer shit.
  7. sounds nasty, keep us updated--awaiting pics
  8. does that mean replacing the whole blower motor?? how hard is it to fix?? thanks hal. i got pictures of your old exhaust on my car that i will post this weekend--sounds/looks incredible. i'm getting ready to install a killer chiller on the car to try to get my intake temps down a bit with all this heat. its so damn hot here, that its almost impossible to do car work
  9. guys, i just noticed the heating/defrost/cooling motor on my daily beater ('99 sentra) only works on the highest setting. the lower 3 settings do not work. i tried replacing the 2 fuses in the fuse panel for the blower motor to no avail. i coud understand if the motor did not work at all, but am a bit confused as it appears to be working, just only on 'full blast' mode. any thoughts?? thanks kirk
  10. tripled up in your stupid ass thread
  11. doesn't your car have a first aid kit in the glove box with a tampon in it??
  12. yeah, he sounds like you trying to explain what a "stock" car is.
  13. you shouldn't even be posting in this thread based on your participation in the previous locked thread. i guess its only natural that you drive a chick car since your automotive knowledge is less than most women (no offense to any of the women on this forum who ALL surely know more than you about what the term "stock" means). and your chicklet car would get destroyed by an '03/04 cobra by the way--good luck finding a stock cobra though.
  14. i'm in tampa, so no go for me. but how about this---if you make it $50 per entrant who beats you, i'll start footing the bill for people to sign up as long as they give me the $50 when they beat you
  15. i'll need some weight reduction for 10's--the solid rear will drop 150lbs, and lightweight seats another 100lbs. then, i just need some driving lessons.
  16. solid rear going on my car this year. 2.2 60' time for the loss.
  17. too bad there are no good brazilian steakhouses in columbus just recently went to fogo de chou in chicago when i was there on business, and tampa has an identical one called boizau. for those of you who have never been to one, they're absolutely incredible. first, its all-you-can-eat. they've got a pretty sweet salad bar, and 4 sides that they continually bring to your table (fried banana, mashed potatoes, cheese rolls, and veggies). the best part: flip your coaster from red to green, and waiters immediately bring about 20 different types of meat to your table--bacon wrapped filet, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, ribeye, leg of lamb, pork, bacon wrapped chicken, gourmet sausage, and about 10 other types of beef/etc.---clearly, a vegetarian's worst nightmare.
  18. i'll ask him, but i'm pretty sure he doesn't post anymore since he got rid of the car. i'm pretty sure he had a reflash--i'm not sure exactly what the details were, only that he was running a bit more boost--maybe 17psi? he lives in canton, and the car was yellow. he ended up selling it about 3 months ago to some guy from out west.
  19. +1 you will have a BITCH of a time tuning the car for driveability. i'd go for the 2800, or the 2400.
  20. yeah, i'm only here for a year
