  1. my wife used to get our trips on discountallinclusive.com, but now they don't participate in the sandals resorts. i'll ask her what site we went through for the st. lucia trip. some things depend on what time of year you go as well.

welcome. good to see more gto's here.
  3. where at on roberts?? that is right by where i live.
  4. $5500-ish for 2 people, 8 days, 7 nights, EVERYTHING included--upgraded room--to sandals grand, at st. lucia. like i said, best trip i've ever been on---mostly honeymooners and young couples. we'll end up going back there in a few years
  5. i agree^^^ 1000%. the wife and i WILL eventually do a cruise, but every sandals trip we've been on has been awesome. the liquor is not 'top shelf', but it is absolut/jack daniels/jose cuervo/etc. which is totally fine by me, when you can sit at the swim up bar and drink all day long. the food is awesome--plain and simple. there's tons to do, and they have people who sit down with you to plan different activities (which cost more, but not much more--$120--for two people, all-day catamaran trip with food/booze/snorkling included). plan a trip on your own, and it IS likely that you will have a good time, maybe you'll have a GREAT time, but maybe you'll be disappointed too. with a sandals trip, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a GOOD time, and most likely a great time. there's also something to be said about paying for EVERYTHING in advance, and not having to carry a wallet around at all--not even to tip.
  6. here they are. we also enjoyed barbados, for our honeymoon, but it wasn't a sandals resort. i would recommend st. lucia--the sandals grand (not sandals halcion). tons of stuff to do--we went on a snorkling trip/catamaran, and a safari tour of the island http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/7178/p42400351un.jpg going inner tubing http://img468.imageshack.us/img468/3844/p42300169dr.jpg the food was incredible http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9673/p42400658jf.jpg so was the swim up bar. http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/1836/p42801367go.jpg http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/457/p42801378yf.jpg http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/6872/p42601062lp.jpg
  7. sandals grand at St. lucia--best trip i've been on BY FAR. you generally cannot go wrong with sandals--pretty much guaranteed a great trip. and St. lucia is absolutely stunning--blue water, great weather, excellent food, and liquor. just thinking about that trip makes me want to fucking cry right now, stuck in columbus, knowing it will be at least a year and a half before i can take a trip like that again. give me a second to find some pics.
  8. i like my GTO, and probably should have waited for the G8, to have 4 doors. GTO's can be had for pretty cheap.
  9. it won't work. it never does--expect multiple relapses, etc. etc. try mt. carmel, we have a drug program for our uninsured people---234-life. whatever you do, don't be disappointed when it doesn't work. not to have a negative attitude, but there are people who are genetically susceptible to addiction, and no matter what you do, they will relapse--its worse than cancer, it NEVER goes away good luck, maybe he's one of 1000 that will be successful
  10. interesting. i'm going to be doing basically the same thing this summer, and we have an '05 exploder. i'm assuming there's nothing wrong with towing one average sized car with a 4X4 v8 exploder??
  11. we'll see what happens this spring. i was determined to leave the stock tune on my '05, but these results are hard to argue with. i've got a K&N intake, and an SLP catback--a tune would help quite a bit
  12. they must have given you a BIG break on the bill. i love tommy's just as much as the next guy, and their food is cheap, but not nearly that cheap. let me run through what your bill should have been (under the best circumstances) burger/fries--$3.50 gyro/fries--$3.50 chicken sandwich/fries--$3.50 steak sandwich/fries--$4 salad--$1.50 4 drinks at $.075 each--$3.00 2 desserts at $1.50 each--$3.00 that's $22, and the prices i listed are about as cheap as you can possibly imagine. i'm not trying to be too big of a dick, so i'll apologize in advance.
  13. i'm going to call b.s.. i work at mt. carmel west hospital and we eat there all the time. the food/atmosphere is fantastic, and the owner is a great guy. the food is just a bit more expensive than $5 per person (unless you just get fries, or something like that). $30 for 4 people is more believable.
  14. this is a pretty good route. my wife is/was a nurse, and her friend is doing the traveling gig-- it pays well, as you've heard. just before my wife quit work with her pregnancy, she was working the 'weekend option night' rotation, earning $44/hr for her 2 weekend 12 hour shifts, and then $25/hr with the one weekday shift. 3 days of (hard) work, and 4 days off. there is NO OTHER job with the security of nursing, where you can earn $50-60k right out of a 4 year college. good luck.
  15. the cost of living is great here, and there's plenty to do in the city. my cousin lives in L.A., and is paying on a $500k condo, that is 1/2 the size of my $150k house--they can't even afford to have kids. i am here until my training is done this summer, then moving to tampa for one more year of training--i'll be sure to let you guys know if i like it. i enjoy all 4 seasons, but winter does suck about this time of year, until late march. i guess i'm just waiting on global warming to kick in. its very easy to get 'lulled' into complacency in life, and sometimes you just need to change things up, and re-evaluate where you're headed down the path. that being said, its also very hard to leave once you've established a career/family. good luck with your choice.
  16. link to a thread in corral.net, about somebody who lives in columbus potentially ripping people off--his name is apparently todd sanders i'm not involved in any way, just thought i'd post it up http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=985788
  17. like above people have mentioned, could be anything from an irregularity in your diet, to a serious kidney condition. time to go back to the dr.
  18. +1 right under my chin on the neck area, burns like hell and doesn't cut.
  19. there's a doc that works at st. annes hospital that has an S8, with plates that read "S8 Y NOT", sweet looking car, its black
  20. my wife's sentra is fairly fast, with the 1.6 motor in it. however, its been 'debadged' in an effort to be more of a 'sleeper', so you might not know its a sentra
  21. i'll find a way to get my hands on one eventually, if they live up to the expectations that are being set
  22. eventually, i'd like to turbo the GTO
  23. glad to see you post here, i'll be bringing my cobra by over the spring for some more dyno time. kirk
  24. +1 far and away the best breakfast place in town. one of the guys i work with (55ish year old guy, who owns 1/2 of city BBQ) knows ALL of the cooks in town, is best friends with heindke (spelling?), etc.. anyways, he claims that Paul is one of the best chefs in columbus.
