    I hate life...

keep your head up hal, things will turn around.
  3. anyone ever sold a house without a real estate agent. i'm moving to florida in july, and my brother is interested in buying my house. i'm not interested in giving money to a real estate agent. i'm assuming i should talk with my titling company, and maybe the bank where we have our home loan?? any advice would be appreciated.
  4. +1 healthcare in the US will be a nightmare if obama or hitlery get elected. you think there's a shortage of docs now, they will kill the profession. maybe obama will legalize coke??
  5. thanks, i'll let you know if i physically can't do it. kirk
  6. yeah, no kidding. i tried a few things to get the clutch to grab higher up (it used to grab right on the floor), but now it grabs too high, and is on the verge of slipping. i need to yank the stock crap out. i bought the fiore kit, and have heard the stock cable is the best way to go. last time i was under there, my fat ass lodged up against the switch to move the seat forward, and i was literally pinned up front. picture the look on my wife's face when she "came to the rescue"--she has a pic on her phone.
  7. my '04 needs an oil change. i'm waiting to install the firewall clutch adjuster, new clutch quadrant, catted midpipe, and wideband. then off to the dyno for a new tune.
  8. i think if the GTO would have launched with the LS2 and the '05/06 body in '04, it would have done better. and +1 for dealerships being idiots about the car. haydocy claimed they wouldn't budge one bit below $30k for the new '06 they had in their lot (this was about 9 months ago)--the jackass salesman wouldn't even let me test drive the car and that was in '07--the car had probably been on the lot forever. i gave him his card back, and then brought him outside from the sales floor 3 months later to check out my '05 GTO when i brought it in for a minor warranty repair (seat motor). should have seen the look on his face
  9. she's a clueless bitch. there are really NO good candidates for president.
  10. i was one of the people "fooled" into buying a goat. you won't hear me bitching one bit, its a great car. i'd buy the car linked at the top of this thread as well.
  11. i've got an off-road h-pipe for shorty headers---$25
  12. i'm afraid of metal things near peoples' teeth, i can barely use silverware
  13. daily driver should imply that you have more than one car, and the daily driver is the slower of the two.
  14. deals are all over the place, you just have to look around. i bought my '05 M6 GTO in wisconsin, outside of ebay. i paid just over $21k, and the car was bone stock, is still under warranty, and had 10,800 miles. this was after i went around to the dealers, and saw them asking $4-5k more for cars with 30k miles, claiming they wouldn't budge on the price. i looked at other private sellers, etc. etc. --i ended up seeing this auction on ebay, and offered the guy exactly what his starting bid was.
  15. i'd be down for this. it would be just about perfect for me.
  16. christ what a fucking mess. hats off to the op for being so kind and generous, hope everything works out in his favor
  17. sure do.............. ls1gto.com err, wait sorry, can't help you. good luck with the new ride

+1 i can't remember which site it was (maybe ls1tech.com), but the firebird owner gave a huge explanation of what took place during the show--it was a great thread--and further solidified the fact that the kid was a piece of absolute shit. what i heard was that the guy sold the kid his car back for $10k, and then the kid immediately turned around, and had it for sale for $25k, to buy a c6zo6
  19. i love my GTO, but with twin daughters, i probably should have bought the trailblazer SS, even though my wife has an exploder. the GTO gets great gas mileage for what it is, and is faster than the trailblazer mod for mod--but its a car and not an SUV. i like the looks and styling of the trailblazer SS, but would prefer and SRT8, even though the SS has much, much more potential i'm waiting for the bigger hemi to come out, and then will jump on an '09, or '10 SRT8 cherokee--i will keep the GTO of course, and then start modding the piss out of it.
  20. i sold my ported one to mike on here, and took the stock one that he gave me up to my parents in cleveland, since i'm moving this summer. kirk
  21. my wife's 1.6 sentra only gets about 30mpg on the freeway--pretty shitty if you ask me. i swear i got nearly that with my '90 grand prix--driving mostly in the city, i'd average 23mpg--i knew because the gas gauge was inaccurate, so i had to keep track of the mileage
