  1.

I did that for my 40th birthday, and can attest to the fact that it is, indeed, awesome.

wife and I go to vegas at least once a year for a weekend of fun, and I don't gamble. I love the atmosphere/food at the cosmopolitan. stk is an awesome steakhouse.

if you have thick skin, and want to see an awesome show, I highly recommend the show "absence". pay extra, and sit in the front row--just prepare to be singled out and made fun of a little. the show is similar to a cirque show in some regards---crazy acrobatics right in front of you on an 8 foot round stage. the performers are half naked (mostly women), and stunts are amazing. in between each mini performance, there is the host of the show, performing an amazingly off color comedy routine---if you're in the front row, he will roast you hard, be prepared. its awesome though. well worth it. I've been twice, and each time sat in the front row.

  2. If only there were some way to make an SS faster.

Your humor is well received. You have endless options to expand the power of the SS--almost to the level of the hellcat. But you will always be on borrowed time with the motor and trans. Unless you forge it and go through the trans. Which no one does. And then you might have a high 10 car. That might be enough for most everyone, but not what I was looking for. And I wasn't a huge fan of the 6speed when the 8 speed and new 10 speed autos are epic.

Add a cam to the SS and you'll still get waxxed by your avg mustang.

If those things don't bother you, then the SS is a perfect daily driver. Honestly, I was seriously impressed with how well it cruised on the freeway.

The hellcat is a pulley swap away from mid 10's, and guys are going mid 9's on the stock blower with e85. Bonkers.

  3. the SS didn't have enough power for me. I just couldn't imagine myself being in a car that can't smoke the rear tires from a standstill. however, it was literally the most comfortable car I've driven---moreso than my audi. fit/finish were on point. I hate GM's infotainment system, so I can't really blame the SS for that. the car sounded amazing as well. mag ride was nothing short of astounding. the car felt like it weighed 3600lbs too.

that being said, I can't have a daily that can get smoked by a run of the mill mustang or Camaro. so the SS made way for the charger hellcat. much more power, louder, still a comfortable ride, but not as much as the SS. interior is not nearly as nice as the SS. I loved the SS's interior--was night and day better than my gen 2 cts-v. the hellcat is a noticeably bigger car, and drives that way. good luck, let me know if you need more info, as I've owned 3 of the cars on your potential list

  4. I made 580 to the wheels with a very streetable cam, ported/milled heads, nick Williams throttle body, fast intake, and catted long tubes with the stock mufflers on a conservative tune.

You'll easily eclipse 600 if you go e85. I truly miss how easily this motor revs, and the feeling of burying it in 3rd at 80mph

  5. nah, Caddy is already doing this with a TT v6 that is a caddy only engine. And they have a history of doing this, just look at the Northstar. If it does make it into something else, it will be detuned and put into something like Buick's top of the line model (which is what again?).

Edit: Holy shit buick's most expensive vehicle is an Enclave, and their biggest car is a regal!!!! WTF happened buick? you used to be somebody?

Nope. It will be seen in non-caddy cars. Gm would be insane not to do that. This motor should see 700+hp and 800lb/ft with a 93 octane tune at 30-ish psi. Imagine hearing those turbos scream right behind the firewall

  6. bottom line::

there is no way GM is footing the bill for a "clean sheet" engine design that departs this much from their previous motors, and planning on sticking it in a car that will only sell 10k units per year. this motor will find its way into other cars. likely the mid-engine vette, and multiple others moving forward

  7. It's a real shame you won't make it to any of the events I'm at, I bet we'd have a great laugh putting up times and talking shit to each other.

I live in Wisconsin. my brother lives in Columbus, and I usually make it back to Columbus at least once a year for a game. I was there 3 years ago and caught the tail end of a cars and coffee. long term plan involves moving back to ohio once my kids are out of school--still a ways away. like most, I talk shit on the forum, but am a normal person in person.

  8. I wonder how many people on here have actually met you. You happen to have a very well paying job and are now a douche because you have money to spend? Odd. Maybe I'm just a douche too....

not many. its hard to live down the physician douche persona, because a lot come off as douchey. my wife didn't believe what I did for a living for at least 6 months.

  9. Passing those corollas and work vans before they merge in front of you must be exhilarating.

I leave those cars alone. I like to pick on mustangs and Camaros.:lolguy:

  10. Literally couldn't care less about this car. It's fast, cool. The douchebag doctor down the street probably has a faster car (oh that's you).

I find nothing exciting about cars that remove the driver from the experience. I get it, daily driver blah blah. You've made the transition to full automatic boat buyer, but some of us still like driving.

I don’t live down the street from you

I probably own something faster and drive the ever living shit out of it

I spend most of my days driving with kids in the car, so 4 doors for me 90% of the time

Yeah, I’m probably seen as a douche by some people. I don’t let it bother me

You won’t be able to buy a car with a manual transmission in about 5 years

  11. And for those 10 seconds...:dumb:

Spoken like someone who’s lived their entire life in 14 second turds. If you can’t get excited about a gm factory hot-v, who’s initial offering yields 627lb ft of torque, then you might as well let the door hit you in the vagina on your way out of this thread. No other way to put it. I thought I was destined to trade my Audi in a few years, for an m5 or e63amg s, but now I have some hope. I’ll still own a 10 second two seater, to compensate for a small dick, but it won’t see nearly as much seat time as my daily 4 door

  12. I'm most butthurt about another game-genie car that will make engorge joe-schmoe's e-dik meanwhile he'll cuck along holding up faster people in slower cars because he's so disengaged from driving he'll forget he's in the car to get somewhere and instead try to pair his kids' ipads with the bluetooth and get his myspace updates on his HUD and OH NEAT is Jack Nicklaus in town? Maybe I can catch him at the local douchbaggery! Thanks social-media mobile!

Technology SHOULD be encouraging drivers to ACTUALLY go faster. Maybe they could make it ALWAYS 50% or more throttle so buyers briskly leave the line, get through intersections, merge at speed... and less about "here's a bunch of performance you won't use so enjoy your drilldo-massaging seats"

meh, I disagree with you. if you're truly concerned about someone not paying attention while driving, you should be most butthurt about all the soccer mom's texting while drinking starbucks in their 7000lb SUV not paying attention, and driving all over the road like idiots. or the teenager who is, again, texting while driving.

you're most butthurt because this car can demolish any car you're driving. and it can do it with zero driver skill. average joe schmoe can be an autobahn hero and take out a corvette with his right foot--simple as that. people that are concerned with not paying attention while driving, yet wanting to flex their e-dick, are usually not going to buy a 550hp car. when I cruise in my audi, or charger, or gtr, I'm constantly paying attention to the road, on the lookout for other cars.........i'll leave it at that. if that makes you butthurt, prepare your angus, this caddy could easily hurt some feelings

no massaging seats, no facebook, no texting.

  13. Great, another new car with way more power than 99% of its drivers will ever use. But when they're playing candy crush on the 2-lane and varying their speed 20mph and you pull out to pass "OH NO WHO'S THIS GUY THINK HE IS" that'll be fun to deal with.

Can't wait to hear about these at the water cooler "yeah but motor trend said my car does 0-60 in 2.053442 seconds and that's faster than..." cool story bro turn off traction, stability, put throttle in RACE sport +2 mode and come at me.

What if the manufs figure out their buyers are all pleb-tards and make their shit barely last long enough to make it through a magazine test or lightning lap? OH WAIT c7z LOL zr-1 LOL tesla LOL gt-r LOL new cars LOL

You sound butt hurt. Nothing Cadillac makes competes with the newer hi performance full size German luxury barges. And technology is the way of the future. Sucks, but embrace it. Or maybe you can punch the guy in the face at the water cooler to show him who’s boss

  14. Even the 3rd gen V? It is a large car. I was looking at a 2016 CTS V Sport and man is it big on the outside at least.

My Audi feels much larger than the 2nd gen ctsv I owned right before it. With an awd launch on 93 octane tune, I’m positive the Audi is faster off the line, compared to my gtr

  15. Everybody loves to hate on these 4500lb luxo barges with slushboxes. Until they actually experience 800lb/ft of torque through awd and a trans that shifts in milliseconds.
  16. I LOVE your car- If I didnt have (and still love) the 535i or could sell it quick I would absolutely buy it.

On that note- want to trade for a 535i that traps near 120mph? :)

Yeah I am surprised to see how hard they run with these mods- but as rowdy as this thing is, I believe it. Hard to describe, it comes into the power band LIKE it has notous! Feel like the power never stops climbing as it goes through the RPMs. I am assuming the monster cam is the factor there.

Rowing the gears wont be the issue. Buying a sticky tire and being willing to hammer it on the 60 foot will be. Seems like you need a 17' and a DR to get the 60-330 you need for a 10. Not many doing on a true street tire on the stock 19. I highly doubt I will do either before the Colt is done, tuned, and makes some test passes.

You’ll have zero issues pulling a 10 second run with 19” drag radials. I put a 345 nitto nt-05r on the stock 19” wheel and ran a 10.9 at 134, and admittedly, i was not the best at launching that car. The big cam is what makes these cars nearly unstoppable from 80-150mph.

  17. I think this is the first "new vehicle" thread by you that I've ever been disappointed in. Still a sweet vehicle, just wasn't exciting. Lol

no worries, there will be other cars in the future. hopefully this summer or next, I'm going with something more exotic. the kids have been pumped about this truck for several months--we ordered it back in Oct/nov. they've been crazy excited all last week, with the truck arriving. to the point they want to go out in my shop and just sit in it. my other cars? they couldn't give two shits. hopefully they will respect this vehicle because they like it that much? maybe not :lolguy:

  18. Damn man, I can't even imagine. Once you're burdened with hauling that many people, the choices are slim.

    Good luck.

    kids are a burden.....................

to people that shouldn't have kids. lol. I have 3 kids and my wife has two. with so many kids being brought up wrong, following their parents' footsteps in being a burden to society, I have the opportunity to hopefully raise 5 successful kids--whatever success means. either way, they will have access to all the resources they need to become productive members of society. half the time we don't have the kids, so its a 180 degree switch.

  19. Nice pick up! Havent seen you post on here recently so good to see you back. Excited to see what comes of the Hellcat!

Thanks. I lurk mainly. I do miss Ohio. I’d like to get into drag racing a little more and get the hellcat deep into the 10’s, maybe 9’s
