  1. You are correct, they are listed as a drag kit.
  2. I think they list that kit as a street kit, but I might be wrong. The purpose of the car is for autocross and street use, with the occasional trip to the drag strip. I like the wheels that are on the car, and would like to keep them for my street tires. I have a set of pony wheels for my racing tires, hence the reason I would like to keep it 4 lug. If I have to switch then I would more than likely go Baer. Just looking for an alternative.
  3. The car 86 Mustang GT supercharged 306. Need advice on brakes. Thought about doing the Baer kit, however they only offer 5 lug. Now Aerospace has a kit with 4 piston calipers, cross-drilled rotors for 4 lug. They offer the rear disc kit for 4 lug as well. Has anyone had any experience with these. My problem is the front rotors are only 10.25 inches, my stock rotors are 10 inch. The rears are 11+inches. Yeah I know how great a set of Baer brakes looks and I know they work well. Any help or info guys...
  4. Ok guys I have a slow cruiser. Not the greatest bike in the world but still fun. All of my friends have street bikes, the rest are married and sold their bikes. Not one for crazy stuff, just looking for some people to ride with. I do not care what anyone rides, however if you have a street bike I don't think I will be keeping up. So if anyone is up for it, and doesn't mind a noob going along let me know.
  5. This is not surprising to me. Months ago I heard that Nelson was having some financial difficulties. The story I got was that he put too much in the Lamborghini franchise, and with the market turning the way it did hasn't recovered. Like I said guys that is the story I got from a friend who worked in that circle. As for the rumor of Mercedes, I did hear MAG is going to purchase a Mercedes dealership, one very close to them. Now for the disclaimer: For the 13+ years I have been in the auto sales industry I have learned it is no different than any other line of work in one regard. You hear stories, some true, some false, some half true. Take it for what it's worth. If anyone has any info on the Mercedes or Nelson situation that contradicts what I said here, let me know.
  6. Ok I think this summed it up. Now I knew I was going to get it for even questioning whether or not to do so. Yes I know it has no collectible value, however once I start down the path I do not stop, and I hate to have 2 unbearable drivers. Do not get me wrong I know they can still be bearable with the right work, parts, tuning etc. Throwing a grand into the Mustang and getting more power out of it beats throwing a grand into the active handling system after a weekend of autox. Thanks for the advice Kirk.
  7. Hey guys I am just looking for some input. I have a '04 Vette, just an A4 coupe, and I am having a tough time deciding what to do with it. Yeah I know it is 5 years old, but only 30k on it. I came across a friend with a set of heads from a Z06, and thought about buying them. Just not sure if I want to deviate from stock. I have a Mustang if I feel the need to go beat on something. My thoughts are just exhaust, however knowing me I would never stop there. Just curious for your input. Oh and anybody have a stock exhaust for a C5 Z06, I would be interested.
  8. That is a nice bike, looks nice and mean! Mike, I would have thought by now you would have changed that blue seat to pink. Noone would ever screw with a guy that has a pink seat!
  9. Well all the above statement tells me is that you have class. I have owned many F-bodies over the years also. Besides diversity is what makes this all possible. Thanks guys!
  10. Another try...http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/48/l_e4ec627a5d301b6ef87769c7b01bbbaa.jpg http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/111/l_60e03f3289274dbeb6fdf29280d9131c.jpg
  11. OK, hope this works for the pics. Like I said, I just acquired the Mustang, and have more pics, decent car, however a work in progress. Ok guys my pics did not work. I will put them on Photobucket tomorrow and try again.
  12. Ok guys here it goes. I was a member on here, however it is time for an introduction. One of the questions in the profile section is why join CR? Well I miss the days of just hanging out with car guys. I have always been a car guy, and some of my friends just don't get it. Like alot of you I have had too many cars and bikes to count. As of the last few years I was doing some SCCA Solo events, however that becomes problematic when you switch cars often. As for right now, I have a couple of projects going for SCCA, not sure which way I am going with them. Ok about the cars. I have a Grand Cherokee-Daily driver, 2004 Corvette coupe A4, 2003 Honda VTX 1800- just for the real nice days, 1986 Supercharged Mustang GT 306 cu. in.- latest project. Anything else you would like to know just ask, and yes I will be putting up pictures. Thanks guys, have a good one.
