  1. Not quite what I wanted to hear. These guys probably have families to support, and losing their jobs does not help anyone. No No No, I do not sympathize with them, just stating a point. If any of us here commited these crimes we would be in jail. I would just like for this to brought up in every street racing case to prove that they do not care so much about the public. If they cared about the publice those guys would have been thrown in jail. Now the Gahanna officer, well maybe he should have thought twice about doing something like that while on leave for injury. Just remember to tell the police that there was noone flagging, so that they cannot get you for street racing. Oh and make sure you have your own badge, just in case that idea fails. Maybe some punitive letters, or leave/ temporary suspension, but not taking their way to support their family away.
  2. Damn you mean an SHO didn't win the Pikes Peak Hill Climb? Well where did it place? Oh wait it wasn't there. SHO imitating Audi, what planet are you from? My Audis had interior problems by the boatload, not to mention ABS sensors, wheel bearings, crappy paint finish.<98 A4. Do not get me started on my Quattro wagon, great in the winter when it ran. Most of the time it was in the shop shitting parts. Car was in great shape, but a basket case. Oh and every Audi I encounter at the dealer auction has the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, that is if the display doesn't look like garbled electronic vomit. Now two different classes of car, you are correct, but imitating Audi? I never felt that. Then again I do not live with my head up my ass. All I was stating was that I had good luck with my SHOs, and bad experiences with my Audis. Despite this, I would own another Audi. Just my thoughts. Oh and a competition prepped car is not a good reference for a showroom car. If it is well then my C5 Vette is kick ass thanks to the C5R.
  3. Well fine then, you have me convinced...However I opt for a A8 W12 so that I can ramp out of buildings, and drive around with skanky tattood blondes with automatic weapons. That is my ultimate goal in life! Listen, I was hoping this was all in good fun, and all I was trying to do was post the other side that no car is without faults.
  4. Not to worry, the SHO will win! Why you ask? Well because the Audi driver will probably wreck checking out some guy in shorts! Seriously Audi guys, give it a rest. Build quality? You have no room to talk shit on the SHO, seriously. In the early 90's era Audi's were manufactured with one wheel in the junkyard. Now the late 90's, you might have a little on the SHO of that era. As for the new one, ok maybe you brake and handle better, but lets consider same class...The new SHO is considered a full size platform, so lets pin it up against the A8. I think I can upgrade my brakes and suspension for alot less than an A8 Costs!? I started out just stating my experiences with both cars, but you guys want to bash the SHO, clearly we are not comparing the same kind of cars here, but come on lighten up.
  5. Wow lots of Mustang bashing in here. Come on tards it's like this. People follow what is great i.e. Megan Fox. Would anyone be angry if there were 200 just like her running around Columbus? Hell no. So why complain about alot of a great thing? His car looks decent, I'm not one for the body kit and would like to see some motor pics. Welcome to the site Shawn.
  6. Price dropped to $6000. Last drop in price before ebay. Thanks for looking.
  7. I do not care what any critic says, any movie with Megan Fox is a good one!
  8. Like I said, personal experiences always differ. I guess it depends on who you are. However I am not sure I will ever buy another car from a dealership that has a Spa? Oh and a loaner? I could never get a loaner, of course this has been years ago. I still take cars I have for sale up there, and well same experiences. At least they don't treat everyone like that. Back to the SHO, I am eager to drive a new one. Maybe get my buddy at a certain dealership take one out for a track day. Let's see how long the brakes will hold up.
  9. Wow, this is hilarious! I am so happy to have owned my SHO's. They were not perfect, however when I went to the Ford dealership back in the day they were polite, and fixed my SHO for a reasonable price. My Audi, well the asshats at MAG make you feel beneath them, and then call you with an 8 billion dollar estimate for an ass sized system monitor sensor in the seat<---this term used to express my distaste for the situation. Don't know guys, but we all have personal opinions. Just expressing a personal experience. SHO FTW
  10. Had a buddy do that once in a 10 sec. Camaro. He said it is one wild ride. Nice save on the wall.
  11. Come on Jell-O is fun. Oh yeah, not when it is around your wheels.
  12. One other place that used to do it, was First Bank. They had a couple of branches, I know one was in Tiffin. However the Telhio option sounds better.
  13. Yeah it is definetly dumbass Wednesday. I encountered quite a few this morning myself. Sorry about the incident. Good luck with the insurance company.
  14. I looked it up on Manheim Market Report, and the 13k-15k seems to be about accurate. Now all of the cars on Manheim went through other auctions(none from Ohio on the Manheim Report). However even at the Lauderdale/Miami auto auction 31k did $13,600. So there is some info for your decision. However, from experience if you do not have to sell it, don't. You will more than likely regret it. Maybe adjust something else budget wise, and accumulate the money over time. I also agree that the car is just a number to a financial planner. However a car like that is not just a number. Good Luck
  15. Thanks Mike. Anybody interested at $6500.00?
  16. $25.00, some pocket lint, and yes I will let you have the dryer vent you took off of my car. I might even throw in the huge mass air flow you took off as well.
  17. Yeah, the weight is a concern of mine also. Like the rev matching. Maybe they will get smart and put that system in the Vette, although they will probably make it part of an option package knowing how GM works.
  18. I loved the V8 cars, great road car. Yes I know, problematic, but when they ran good I loved them. Don't mind the older ones either.
  19. Solo Vette

    Hey

    Car looks good. Welcome.
  20. I have had numerous insurance claims, they are always made out to me and the shop that gave the estimate. Insurance companies hate the thought that customers would be putting money in their pocket. I know it is for fraud reasons, but anyway. I have always just endorsed the check and put it in the bank, waited for it to clear, and that's it. Never had a problem, but I know they have become stricter on some policies.
  21. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/93/l_ef30549d7ee7ea924a70b24964dd8f07.jpgI have an 03 Honda VTX 1800 C with just over 6k on it. Beautiful bike, great ride. The bike is in excellent condition with a few extras. Illusion blue paint which is in great shape. This bike has most of the chrome covers you can get for it i.e. caliper covers, master cylinder covers, fork shields, radiator shroud. I have saddle bags, seat back rest, Memphis Shades windshield. Mechanical upgrades include custom air intake, Vance&Hines Big Shot pipes, and Power Commander III w/USB. I do not have to sell it, just never have the time to ride anymore. The only thing I can think of that it may need is a front tire. This bike has never let me down, and is very comfortable to ride. Really do hate to get rid of it, however I can no longer justify keeping it without ever using it. I think I have put maybe 800 miles on in the last two seasons. Every year it fires right up. Price is $6900 OBO. Interested, send me a PM
  22. Bad ass, however I would have opted for the CD Player instead of the cassette deck. Come on Top Gun soundtrack is so much better on CD.
  23. I know the feeling. As much as I would like to have that FRC I would not sell my Vette. I will just keep on the Stang project for track fun. Although if I get another Porsche, they will have to take it from my cold dead hands.
  24. Nice deal, anybody interested in a stock 04 A4 Coupe? I have to sell one to buy one damn it. By the way Andy, that is a good looking 996, I have seen it around the area a couple times. Trade you a nice auto C5 for it. Invest 30k and there you have a track car.
