Disappointed in the Dr. Pepper throwback, tastes like diet almost. Pepsi is the best one out there.

Where are you heading too? I'm in Mentor and if you go by the basic reports online, we should get freezing rain this evening followed by what the Weather channel feels will be a blizzard from midnight through early morning. So put simply, it's going to be a fucking mess.

It's already coming down pretty hard. I brushed off my windshield tonight, smoked a cig while the car warmed up, and in 5 minutes the windshield was covered again. It's near white out conditions up here, and I'm roughly 7 minutes from Lake Erie so I think we're in for the bulk of the snow.

Yea I'm excited to hear the sound system as well. Read some reviews that put it as one of the best stock systems to come standard when it first came out. I'm used to having 2 speakers in my current car so it'll be a welcome change. The hardest part is just waiting until I start my job and get settled in before I make the purchase. I want it now!

According to that last map I'm in for up to 22 inches. My blizzaks have been waiting for a storm like this.

Well I'm really looking to keep it around 17k, as I will be making payments but I have a good chunk saved up for down payment. It seems that there are manual models out there with less than 60,000 miles in my price range, but I may have to make a road trip to get one. I'm going to go test drive an auto to get the basic feel of the car. After seeing some youtube clips of aftermarket exhausts, I'm really excited. That 3.2 sounds damn good once you let it breathe a little. Glad that I'm hearing good reviews though, reliability is a must as it will be my only car. If only I could swing a low mileage Type-S .

Finally got a job which means it's time to get a decent car. Anyone have experience with TL's, specifically the 2004-2008 models. Reliability issues? I know it's an Acura but I want to know what to look for, or any issues that should be addressed before I buy one. Hoping to find a manual model, but are there any issues with the auto trans if I end up going that route? After reading some horror stories on the Mazdaspeed6, I've decided that this might be the better route considering it will be my DD and only car.

+1 on starting out with Photoshop Elements. It's enough for most people, especially if they aren't seasoned photo editors. If you really get into it and end up needing more features, then you can always go for the full version. You can find Elements for around $70, and a full version of Photoshop will run you something like $650 last time I checked, unless you can get the Student/Teacher version which should be around $200. You can also find it all over major torrent sites. Personally, I downloaded a 30 day trial of CS3 a few years ago from the Adobe website, then edited some code that basically removed the 30 day trial part. Clean, virus free Photoshop straight from Adobe, minus the whole paying part.

Breaking News: all politicians are worthless

This is what I'm trying to understand. I get that the Speed3's are 2 years newer and all, but I can't see it making THAT much of a difference in price. Apparently the lack of marketing for the Speed6 really hurt the car in the used marketplace. I've seen a few examples on Autotrader that are well into the 100k mileage range so I think with proper maintenance it should last.

This is what I've found whenever I drive my dad's MS3. Shift almost as soon as I take off, then drop the hammer in 3rd gear. Driving his car is what really has me leaning toward a Mazdaspeed6 (once I get a real job), but I have yet to drive the Speed6 to see how the added weight affects it. Just love the fact that I don't have to downshift to pass on the highway. I love my Miata, but I don't love having to redline just to get around slowpokes on the highway.
-
I'm in the LGT vs. Speed6 situation right now too. The depreciation on the Speed6 is what scares me, even though I'd most likely be driving the car until it's dead.

Hmm, not sure. My router (Belkin) just lists a static IP (can't change it), then the private IP with a blank space for the last number (192.168.2.X). The private IP is where I put my Xbox IP address in, then enabled and everything worked great. Maybe try enabling UPNP also? I think I read that can cause issues, but I'm not well read on Internet stuff.
-
Most likely need to go into your router settings. For mine, I had to put the IP address of the Xbox (you can look that up in the Xbox settings) into what was called the DMZ list on my router. Did that and it fixed everything.

Example of why I like cops: today I locked myself out of my house because I'm retarded. It was 12 degrees outside, and the only people with keys to my house were over an hour away. I called the police, they came (took them a while, but still) and unlocked my van for me so I could get in the garage into my house. This was all free of charge, whereas if they weren't around I would've had to pay some locksmith way too much money to do a 2 minute job. Honestly can say that this was the first time I've ever thanked an officer of the law and truly meant it.

Meh, I'm under 25 and my opinion on cops is split. While I think they are generally looking out for people, there are definitely cops who are on a power trip because of their authoritative position. This is true in any career field, but you hear about it more with police because you deal with them more (a dickhead CEO can't pull you over for a blown license plate light because he's having a bad day, etc). My problem is more with highway patrol officers. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain that they are revenue collectors above all else. Local police officers give out tickets, but they also respond to calls when someone is in a dangerous situation. Highway patrol officers are there mainly to nab you for going 7 over the limit when they know damn well you weren't putting any other motorists in danger. There are good cops, there are bad cops. The issue is you never hear about situations where cops help people, you only hear stories about how some cop was a dickhead to your friend.

Nice looking cars. Were you at the Miata meeting in Columbus a few years ago, I think we ended up at Pochi?

Looks similar to my neighborhood, but I think my trashcan being on the side of the house (behind the front edge) isn't a big deal considering we have one guy on the street who thinks he lives in West Virginia. Old boats, an ugly ass RV, trailer, ATV, etc all outside at random angles in his yard. A neighbor complained about it, the city told him he had to at least cover the boat. So of course he goes and finds the most obnoxious colored tarp that you can buy. So yea, I dunno. I guess it's all relative.
-
You're "that guy" aren't you?
-
"I'm in mah Grumman, fuckin up ur whole neighborhood"

Fun, but they need a tougher version. I was still bored at the 25th wave, they need one for hunt and peckers and one for people who actually know how to type.
-
And yes I know you can get VW Eurovans configured like that, but it would be nice to see other manufacturers do this.
-
Well not with THAT attitude. Looks cool though, they need to go back to the days of the Astro vans with the seats that turn 180 degrees, but in something more modern than the piece of shit Astro.

Read the Wikipedia article on this if you haven't already, some really interesting info about issues with releasing the movie. Best quote from wiki: "It has been speculated that Fox downplayed the release of Idiocracy because the company did not want to offend its typical viewers."
