  1. Congrats Ray! I thought you had him... that was a hell of a race!
  2. it was only 2010 camaros, 2005+ mustangs, and LX model Dodges.... otherwise I would have taken the Vette.
  3. My fastest et was only a 8.43@172, but we still had a good time.Number 1 qualifier was 7.20's at almost 200.
  4. Was a great time last night... Had to race both of the Ohio Boys in the earlier rounds. Mark's car was broken, but they made him break the beams to get his round money, and Mike's car was the 3rd fastest qualifier of the night, but couldn't get traction when he and I met. I made it all the way to the finals where my competitor couldn't get started. I gave them time to get the car started and when they finally did we raced. Unfortunately my car drifted towards the center line and I had to lift causing a 2nd place finish. Was a great time!
  5. Went for a couple passes last night then headed up to Milan... Won 2nd place in Outlaw Drag Radial last night.
  6. This Friday 9/2/2011 RPM is renting the track in Muncie. It is FREE and is always a good time. Rental starts at 9am and goes to 5ish and you can normally stay for the Friday night street fights after (but you have to pay for them). I'll be there running the Vette, I think Neon John said something about going... let me know if you want to attend, they said the more the marrier!
  7. Any LX Car Any 2010+ Camaro Any 2005+ Mustang True Street Cruise then 3 back to back passes... Fastest car wins $1000 Fastest of all 3 classes race each other for $10,000! FREE ENTRY! for the whole weekend and the NMCA event. Horsepower TV will be filming and interviewing drivers. If you are interested let me know... Entries must be made no later than Wednesday 8/24/2011. http://www.modernmusclex.com
  8. I think everyone now knows where my old motor went...
  9. Jason wants in let's make it 3 wide!
  10. Well, Car is tuned... wish we would have had more time, but looks like we will have to finish figuring out the launch next time out. Best pass of the night was an 8.24@176 with only a 1.53 60'. with the motor change, bigger tires, we will need to launch on around 9psi of boost to get the 60's back to where we used to be. Unfortunately we didn't get there last night. After eliminations were done (for me anyway LOL) I made 2 more test passes where we were able to build a bit of boost. The first one was a 6psi launch that brought the 60' down to an "OK" 1.38 and at the top of 1st gear a line blew off of one of the blow off valves so I had to abort the pass. On the second I built 9.5psi of boost and by this point the tires were done so we spun. I peddled and the pass was aborted. All in all we learned a lot. I had a bunch of people come by and say hello. For those of you that came out to watch us run, thanks for coming out and supporting. I hate that I didn't get to make a new record pass, but it was litterly the first time out with the new motor. Next time out we expect to make some strides and who knows, maybe at Bowling Green, we will be ready to set a new IRS World Record!

  12. Yeah, I was talking to Ray the other day and was saying I wanted to see what his car could do. I know it will go faster than it has in the past, and believe that the car can run 7's. Good luck in the 275 class Ray!
  13. There are some FAST Fox Bodies up at Milan... Hinzman pretty much wins every race we go to up there. How did Ray do?
  14. This ^^^ Anyways, I'd venture to guess that ERL has a pretty good idea of what will work.
  15. Yeah, when Steve Turley had the motor, he said it never got hot really.
  16. Well, the new motor is in the car and the intitial startup went well. Cooling until tomorrow and then we should get to start tuning.
  17. New motor is going into my vette, old motor is going into the trailer as a backup.
  18. The new motor made 2200rwhp in a different car (one of the Ohio Boy's) with a similar turbo to what I am running, so I am hoping for the same, but anything north of 2000rwhp will get the job done. If we only get to 2000rwhp with the weight savings we should be running 7.3x@19x, but if it does actually make 2200rwhp we could hit 7.0x-7.1x at 200ish (which would be what we were hoping for this year) Reguardless, we will be able to go considerably faster than we have been and that is all that matters. I got to the shop this morning at 6am and we thrashed on it till the motor was out. I almost had them video tape me working on it, since I know many people believe all I do is write checks. Anyway I will be at the shop all week this coming week to get her ready for the Track rental at Norwalk that we will be attending on Thursday. That should allow us the time we need to tune the car and see what the new setup will do.
  19. So, we got the old motor out this morning... New motor is on a truck heading to the shop. Should be tucked into it's new home Monday sometime.
