My Chute is detachable and currently detached for street driving, but I will get some pics with it on soon. There may be videos up soon of the passes made this weekend. They were only license passes so nothing to get too excited about, but video none the less. As for the cage, it isn't really a bolt in or weld in as you would think. It is probably closer to being called a bolt in, but there was a lot of extra work that went into it. It has been NHRA certified to 8.50 and the cert guy seems convinced it will never go that fast. He said that the IRS would keep it from going that fast; however, I know of plenty of IRS cars that have gone faster. As for painting, I am not going to paint it, I am going to have it wrapped in leather to match my steering wheel leather and have the stiching in red to match the seats. There will be windows that can be opened for testing in the coming years so I can stay legal. Since being race ready is more of a priority than looking good that will be a bit since I haven't even looked for an upolstery shop to do the work yet.

No, I can reach it with no problem... if you have ever been inside a C6, they aren't exactly roomy.

Sorry been too busy working on it to take pics... and to be honest the car is really dirty since it has been from shop to shop getting everything done. I plan on cleaning it up tomorrow at the track and hopefully we will take some pictures. I'll be at trails bright and early tomorrow. We are only tuned on low boost right now so we are limited to about 950 rwhp. Maybe if Eric gets done at the dyno day we will turn it up, but otherwise we will just see what she can do on low boost.

Car is just getting some cosmetic touches now... we would have been ready but the BG event got rained out. So looks like if all goes well, we will be at NTR next weekend! Maybe we'll just take it easy and run low 9's or high 8's, but we'll see. As for the tranny, it is a truck tranny but no regular one. That is a custom built 4L80e from RPM Transmissions and it has all billit internals and a super sprag as well as custom input and output shafts. There is currently only 1 in the world built like this. As for did I know? No, honestly I had only planned for bolt ons, but that is how it goes. The bug bites and I start itching. IPS was there to scratch the itch. Now, I am pretty sure I'm infected. Big thanks to all the guys at IPS! They were pulling 24 hours shifts to get it done and we were there till 5am on the dyno Thursday Night/Friday morning just for the event to get canceled. I doubt any other shop would have put in the time and effort that my car saw this last couple of weeks!

I grew up in Myrtle Beach... there are lots of nice spots, down by the inlet at sunrise is really cool. All my family still lives down there so I go a couple times a year.

IPS is putting the car back together and designing a new fuel system. If it is completed in time we may go out next week, otherwise I will have to do my passes at the NMCA event.

Well, he said it would be like $2800ish for a normal cage, but I wanted dual removable side bars that swing out and he had to do a lot of special stuff for my car specificially since the frame is aluminum so it was considerably more.

I'd love to see your car again. I have no doubt what the outcome would be... If neither of us break, you will walk me, but still I'd line up. Would be a cool video seeing the fastest Supra racing the fastest Z06 reguardless of the outcome.

Class rules are fair... If Jamie brings his Supra, I'd love to see it run even though it is way faster than my car. Why would he bring it if id didn't qualify? Who want's to see Jamie's car run 7.XX? Who want's to see my car run 8.XX? Who want's to see Jason's new Camaro run Whatever it will run? I always enjoyed going and seeing the cool old cars that go slow and the really high dollar new cars that go fast. I just like to see racing! Making a competition that doesn't allow someone just because they are faster or spent more is stupid. Someone is always faster and someone can always spend more.
