  1. My mom lives in West Jefferson right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Its probably the prettiest part of the country I have seen yet.
  2. I like: B18c1 (GSR) B18a/b and B20 (basically same motors) D16z6 (single cam vtec) I am not a fan of the B16's cause, well they just suck. I don't like H series a whole lot due to weak transmissions and their stock sleeves are junk. K series are just too expensive still for me to like and the s2k motors outside of boosting don't respond well to mods. Thanks, she is picking and choosing the proper mods. She still hates this hood, just trying to find an OEM style carbon fiber one. Heck yeah, anything can be made fast I suppose. I just am not a fan of them although their heads do flow pretty damn amazingly Update time! Well I told her that she couldn't get the car tuned until a new wastegate was bought. What does she do? Goes and buys a Tial 38mm lol. So we scheduled her tune date for this coming Sunday. I am anxious to see what the car makes, it'll be on 10-12psi http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/tial_zps5b81881e.jpg
  3. It was an absolute turd lol. Honestly I am not a huge fan of many Honda motors, I have 3-4 that I actually like
  4. Meh, I had one in black coupe like this and absolutely hated it. It had the H22 head on it even, they call it a G series.
  5. Ain't nobody got time for that lol. If this damn weather would break I will probably do just that actually.
  6. Yeah carpet needs a good bath, I have a buddy who details for MAG so I am hoping he can bring something home to get it clean. I think she also wants to put some factory floor mats in the car, which can be bought new still.
  7. Got bored today and decided that was excuse enough to start putting turbo parts on the Civic. Got all the piping and intercoler mounted up. Once she schedules a tuning date we will get the turbo on and plumb it. Also got the aftermarket fuel rail that came with the car put on. Had to trim the bumper to clear the piping: http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/trimming_zps2442a88e.jpg After some cutting, fitting and more cutting the intercooler was mounted: http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/intercooleron_zpsaddcbd1f.jpg Also put a factory shift boot back in the car to replace the red one. No more red interior pieces!! http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/boot_zpsc7ec2e95.jpg Fuel rail on: http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/rail_zpsc2cda9d2.jpg
  8. Apparently he's been suffering from seizures supposedly caused by his love for Sizzurp (google it). From what TMZ and other media outlets are reporting he's in an induced coma and not looking good. Not a fan of his music, but don't wish death upon anyone "5:16 PM PT -- We're told Wayne is being prepared for his last rites ... with his family surrounding him to say their goodbyes. Wayne's mother is currently on a plane flying to Los Angeles -- and we're told all major decisions about Wayne's health (including the decision to discontinue life support) will not be made until she arrives." http://www.tmz.com/2013/03/15/lil-wayne-seizures-hospitalized-drugs-sizzurp-critical-condition-icu/
  9. It's a factory Honda gasket. Golden Eagle bores them out since Honda doesn't offer an 84mm vtec gasket. HEll I don't think Honda offers anything over .5mm overbore. I had a Cometic once and it leaked after 300 miles, used GE since and no issues.
  10. Leave it uncaged, I hated having to cage my car. I refuse to cage another one lol
  11. 3/2/13: Got some goodies from Moddiction in the mail today including a shifter extender and dress up bolts for my struts. The extra extender pictured is for my buddies EG sedan. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/extender_zps8df9e25c.jpg 3/11/13: What does everybody love?!!! This bad boy finally arrived back home to me, safe and secure, looking better than ever!! Big thanks to Mike @Laskey Racing. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/head_zpsb2d680f9.jpg I was bored today and decided to paint my engine. I love alumiblast!!! http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/blockpainted_zps0b7449f0.jpg
  12. 2/9/13: Little something to get you through til this week lol. Went to dealership and picked up the remaining gaskets I needed. Valve Cover Exhaust Manifold Cam Seals Vtec Solenoid http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/gaskets_zps41c21039.jpg 2/15/13:Golden Eagle Headgasket http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/headgasket_zps44c80067.jpg 2/19/13: Well today I got something in a cardboard box. It felt heavy and seemed solid. Didn't hear anything when I rattled it around, had me a little stumped as to what it could possibly be... Then it hit me, ah yes, the package read From Laskey Racing and it became quite clear what was in that package. A 150 pounds worth of aluminum (along with some stickers haha) For those that can't read it, it reads "Good Luck Home Slice" lol http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/engine2_zpse6a03890.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/engine_zps75885917.jpg I got one of the Laskey "Racers Secret" cam gears to replace the BDL gear I messed up. Oh yeah, since Laskey is the word of the day it appears, I did ship my head out to him as well this afternoon. I am going to have him pressure test it, hot tank/soda blast it, check to make sure everything is good to go, mill it a tad to clean it up and give it a valve job.
  13. Well I have been slacking on keeping this thing updated. So let me get ya up to speed! We finally got the old door panels off and replaced them with the stock ones http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/image_1361729293889033_zps030a9a06.jpg Also removed the 11 year old window tint, took us 4hrs with a heat gun and razor blade... http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/Tintremoved_zps239f3a73.jpg Last night me and a couple buddies drove 6hrs round trip to grab a P28 with Hondata s300 inside of it http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/hondata_zps305f992b.jpg Picked up a set of Precision 680cc injectors this evening. Only thing left to do is schedule a tune date and get this stuff all on http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag53/DaddyBuiltRacing/680s_zps744c5cff.jpg
  14. I found both after searching youtube. Just type in N. Korea 2013 Propaganda
  15. The first video has been taken down, got another link?
  16. Whew thought you was talking about me for a minute lol. The term "Built not Bought" kinda annoys me, I mean its much smarter to buy something that is previously done from a financial point. For the money I have in my car, I honestly could've bought 2 of them and I know this, but when I started "building" my car I was making over $30 an hr, was single and had very minimal bills, so I was dumb lol. The only advantage and its a very small one in "building" a car yourself is you know the ends and outs of every thing on it. For instance my Integra, I know everything about it, the Civic we picked up that was put together by my friend, I am learning things about it everytime I tinker with it.
  17. 70 Challenger RT/SE for my dad, not the first car he owned, but I can tell its the one he misses the most.
  18. My brother in law is a pole climber for AEP, no way in hell I would do his job or this one
  19. Yeah the money would be nice, I just don't have the right setup to compete in that class. My car is one of the heaviest Hondas made (close to 3k lbs) and I weigh 300lbs, already at a disadvantage lol. It'd be cool to see someone else win SFWD, its usually either Rob or Paul
