They would've used the extra schollies on some OL or saved them for next year in my opinion. Again, I don't think the kids getting their offers now has anything to do with OSU just waiting, it has everything to do with them whiffing. No way in hell would Ohio State take 5-6 WR's in this class, they already have 2, you add Quick and Gibson that's 4. The other guys getting offers now would've been left without Shane Morris looked absolutely terrible at all star practice and in games this past season (when he was healthy). I really don't dislike 17 year old kids, but that is one kid I can make the exception for. I like some of what he does because he gets the rivalry, but if you're going to talk shit atleast back it up on the field. I still laugh at Michigan fans who thought he was going to walk onto campus and start from day 1. Morris's ratings: Scout-went from # 28 to # 40 last week ESPN-went from # 54 to # 127 over the weekend 247 sports-went from #26 to # 81 today

I don't think the limited schollies has anything to do with these guys getting offers at this point. I think it has everything to do with the fact that the players OSU thought were theirs are going elsewhere. If Quick or Gibson committed to OSU I would put money on it that no other WR's would be getting an offer at this point. Like I said, the 2013 class is really good, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I would just save the schollies and load up in 2014

This is strange.. Kinda speechless .. Discuss?

I actually watched this earlier and felt sort of sick in my stomach. I along with my wife and a few friends actually visited Newtown after the shooting and I made mention to them while there how the town reminded me of something you'd see in a scary movie. It just had that feeling of a sleepy little town that you would see rocked by some killing spree (think Woodsboro in the Scream films). I hope this is just a video put together in attempt to make you believe its a conspiracy, but as others have said, we'll never know the real truth should it actually be a hoax -
You must lack reading comprehension as well, so as I did for Phil, let me re-post some key points for you so maybe this time you will comprehend them, you ready? "OSU looked like they were going to end 2013 with a bang in the reruiting world, but in my opinion the 2013 class isn't finishing very strong outside of Mitchell and Johnson who many felt were instructed to wait and announce at the all star games to help build more media attention for Ohio State. It looks like OSU is now on plan D guys at this point, tossing out offers to several players who are verbally committed elsewhere at the last second in hopes of landing someone, looks like desperation to me honestly. I say end the 2013 recruiting, its a pretty good class thus far." You don't believe they are on plan D type guys? They struck out on Quick who they felt was theirs, Gibson didn't qualify apparently, so now they are throwing out offers to just about every WR left out there. Smith was not heard of by anyone on the OSU boards until after Quick decided to choose Louisville, many felt guys like Timmons and Elder would get an offer but something is up there as well as Timmons never got his and Elder has been quiet. So yes in my opinion they are throwing out offers to pan D guys in an act of desperation to sign another playmaker. BTW what site has OSU as the #2 class? Every site I have seen has USC, Michigan and Alabama ahead of OSU. I knew there was a reason I didn't post in this thread for a few days, I think I am going to go back to that.

Word going around that Vonn Bell has given Alabama a soft verbal... OSU looked like they were going to end 2013 with a bang in the reruiting world, but in my opinion the 2013 class isn't finishing very strong outside of Mitchell and Johnson who many felt were instructed to wait and announce at the all star games to help build more media attention for Ohio State. It looks like OSU is now on plan D guys at this point, tossing out offers to several players who are verbally committed elsewhere at the last second in hopes of landing someone, looks like desperation to me honestly. I say end the 2013 recruiting, its pretty a pretty good class thus far. Save the schollies for 2014, which has tons of national talent listing OSU in their top 3

You think a new thread would fix this double post stuff? If so I am down lol

"Marc Givler @ MarcGivlerBG Glenville ATH Christopher Worley has committed # OhioState # buckeyes" Also Monte Kiffin has been hired as the DC of the Cowboys, wonder how bad USC is going to be now as many belive Monte was really the brains behind Lane lol

Might as well just keep this one rolling lol. Carlos Hyde is coming back next year, just announced today.

Would've gotten thrashed by Notre Dame? Thats who they would've played lol

3 Import Faceoffs in Ohio for 2013
DaddyBuiltRacing replied to DaddyBuiltRacing's topic in Track is Crack
I probably wont be at the first event as I don't see my car being done in time. We'll see how it goes though -
Bwahahaha did he seriously decommit from Notre Dame? I had not read this, thats funny as hell.
-
Sounds like another coach I know....:lolguy:

Any word if the spring game got moved to Cincy like Urban was trying to do?
-
I told you that something was up with Gibson, no way in hell does a kid who has been an OSU fan his entire life suddenly put West Virginia neck and neck with Ohio St, unless there is a grade issue. I don't believe Quick will end up at Ohio St either and OSU has already dealt with enough dads who are more hassle then they are worth, think Anzalone. Many believe that if Ryan Timmons is offered he will commit on the spot, not sure why he hasn't gotten an offer yet but is coming in on a visit? I believe this class ends like this Worley Elder/Timmons (If Elder doesn't commit this weekend, Timmons gets his offer and does so on the spot). Save the rest for 2014 when numbers are looking to be low and the class loaded with kids who have OSU in their top 3.
-
Apparently they do, Les Miles is still their head coach lol. That dude is terrible with clock management and off the wall play calling in big games.
-
Many people feel that is all it is. Les Miles has done the same thing to LSU twice now and both times has gotten a pay raise (Michigan/Arkansas) haha. Apparently Rod Smith and Jordan Hall have switched numbers? Not real sure whats up with that, maybe this confirms Hall got his medical redshirt? A lot of people expected Jalin Mashall to wear #7..
-
Jaylon Smith @ JaeeSmiff9ENT If Kelly leaves!!!!!,,,,, I'm still a domer S/O to my ND fans Guess that pretty much rules out Smith lol
-
I don't think there is room for anoher TE in this class with Baugh and it not really being a position of need. Jaylon is the only one I could see Urban really going after and having a legit chance with. I think Bell ends up at Bama honestly.
-
Who outside of Rod Smiths little brother would we even want at this point? Not to mention, how do we fit them in with the limited schollies? I can't wait to get on scout and see the ND board in meltdown mode lol LSU is going to have a rough year next year lol. Just read on scout they have 10 (11 if you include Honey Badger) under classmen declaring for this years draft...
-
I thought Baldwin was going to be a starter though according to Nevada? Now he's a possible transfer?
-
Here, since you seemed to miss it the fist time you read it In other news I just saw this over on scout: Bill Kurelic of OSU and MSU 247 affiliates says a source very close to the staff says that they'd be surprised to see any of the following names on the roster in the spring: - OL Tommy Brown (one we've heard before, seems most likely) - OL Darryl Baldwin (see above) - DL Chris Carter - LB Connor Crowell - TE Blake Thomas (this is one that might matter, as Kyle Berger has mentioned his friendship with Blake in some interviews) http://www.elevenwarriors.com/...transfer-update That would open up 5 schollies for the 2013 and or 2014 class which would be huge since the 2014 class from all accounts is going to be small 15-17ish at this point.

Manti Te'o looked like Troy Smith out there last night. He went on the award tour, collecting 7 only to come to the NCG and lay an egg. I honestly think he hurt his draft stock some, he's still a first rounder, but several mocks had him as high as 5th before that game. I think Alabama's running back helped his status should he decide to leave early. I wasn't so sure Manziel was legit, thought he was just another product of the system type qb. That was until I watched their bowl game and became a fan. Dude is 5'9 on a good day, which is "too small" to play qb in highschool let alone the mighty SEC, yet he lit it up. Doug Flutie is honestly who he reminds me of, idk if he'll have a career in the NFL like Flutie but who cares. He still has 3 more years left in college and could very well win another Heisman. What is everyones very early 2013 preseason top 10? Mine looks like this: 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Texas A&M 4. Oregon 5. Notre Dame 6. Florida 7. UGA 8. South Carolina 9. Florida State 10. LSU Once again it will be heavily populated by the SEC and you could move teams 2-5 around however you want as they are all pretty even and good teams. Well they should be pretty good teams.

Doubled
-
I wouldn't have minded seeing Alabama vs A&M part 2. I watched the A&M bowl game and Johnny Football as they refer to him is legit. They figured out a way to beat Bama the first time around, I would like to see if they could do it again or atleast put up a better effort than ND did last night. I hate rematches, but I think A&M is one of the 2 best teams at this point with Oregon being 3rd. You could argue that Oregon is ahead of A&M based on only have 1 loss compared to their 2, but I honestly think A&M is the better team right now. Oh well seasons over, on to national signing day and then spring games. BTW AP poll came out and OSU finishes 3rd behind Bama and Oregon.
