  1. Attrition has started, LB Kyle Berger given a medical hardship. Knee injuries destroyed his career at OSU. He's gonna pursue medical school, not a bad fall back plan. Herman will be coaching Texas after they fire Strong in next 1-2 years.
  2. Michigan lands the #1 player in the country. I believe they hired his highschool coach as some type of assistant thus helping them land him. Some tidbits I've read today, this in regards to the early depth chart for 2016 Urban basically giving out the starting depth chart on the radio -Burrow..#2 QB with expectation that Haskins pushes him -Ward starting CB Hooker--safety; Smith vs Burrows for the other one Booker at OLB, Baker vs Worley at the walk out
  3. Yeah class is done, on to the 2017 class which on paper looks to be the best class Urban has gotten here at OSU. Right now OSU is the leader or in top 2-3 teams for several 5* and highly ranked 4* guys all over the country. Corey Smith also got his 6th year of eligibility. I haven't looked at the roster number, but I believe OSU is over the 85 player limit, which means some attrition is coming. Whether that is via transfers or medical hardships is yet to be seen. One player that doesn't count against the numbers is incoming freshman Dru Christensen, he is gray shirting until January.
  4. It's either gonna be Bama or LSU that ends with the #1 class. It just depends on who's rankings you base it off of really.
  5. Many feel they finish #5 but still a good class
  6. Yeah, cash ended up being a stud for duke
  7. Exactly, its similar to highschool football. They put the best athlete at Qb and just let him run wild and hope he completes a pass every now and then. Look what a QB with an arm did for Devin Smith, Mike Thomas and even Elliott's careers. It turn all 3 in to 1st/2nd round draft picks.
  8. Another name I keep reading about is Noah Spence. Just think what couldve been had he gotten off the E. Many feelnhes a 1st round pick. The defense would've had: Bosa- overall #1 Spence: 1st round (many projecting him 1st round) Apple: 1st round Washington: Late 1st/2nd round Bell: 2nd round Perry: 3-4th round Powell: 5-6th round
  9. What did i tell everyone years ago and got ridiculed for? Braxton is a high round draft pick at any position other than qb!! Dude is a once in a lifetime type athlete.
  10. Also, Rivals now hasWalker behind Antonio Williams. Walker may end up another "miss" that's really a blessing in disguise.
  11. Yeah, they are idiots right now. Ironically enough, many believe Maryland actually leaked the info on purpose last night to spoil the kids day today, pot meet kettle. So if I am to be correct here, I believe there are 4 spots remaining in this class. Areas of need right now are, DT and DB for sure. Then I think you kind of have 2 spots remaining for someone you simply can't pass up. It will be interesting to see how this class finishes up, as there is still several possible scenarios on the table yet.
  12. And just like that they have all 3 verbally committed to OSU!!
  13. Looking like the Maryland duoay be holding off...I think Haskins eventually finds himself in Columbus, just a matter of when right now.
  14. Top 4* WR Benjamin Victor the first of 3. Kids a big get in a few ways. It's an area of need, he was pulled out of Florida and had offers from every SEC school, but chose OSU. #12 WR in nation, army all American, kid can ball. Next up a QB and lb combo from Maryland
  15. If you follow OSU recruiting, today's gonna be a good day. Looking like 3 commits are gonna happen
  16. 2 walk-on guys given scholarships today. Leading many to believe some guys buried on the roster are transferring out.
  17. I believe he was rumored a couple years ago when Urban was hired
  18. I honestly watched 2 minutes total of last night's game
  19. Everyone crying for 8 teams makes sense...theres 5 power conferences to begin with. I can't wait for the year that we have 5 power conferences with 1 loss, a team like ND with one loss and some SEC team crying cause they only have 1 loss as well. Then we'll see who's feelings change about 8 teams. So far it's worked out pretty well, although this year could've been better. However, I honestly do not see the playoffs being any better than the BCS, it's still in the hands of humans to decide which 4 teams get in the playoffs. From there you just have a plus 1, which people cried for with the BCS for years. ESPN's Marc Schlabach who is an absolute idiot has OSU at #12 in his way too early predictions, while having Michigan at #4 LOL. Some awesome journalism here folks "The Crimson Tide are losing a ton of talent on defense, along with defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who was named Georgia's coach. But when hasn't Nick Saban reloaded on that side of the ball?" "After coming up short in its quest to win back-to-back national championships, Ohio State is going to have major reloading jobs on both sides of the ball. In fact, the Buckeyes might actually take a step back for the first time under coach Urban Meyer. 20. Lol at the AP poll, has Stanford at 3 ahead of 1 loss OSU.
  21. 3 losses is what everyone should prepare for honestly, if it's less than that GREAT!! Also, remember when I used to bust your balls about Nevadabuck and you'd get all defensive about it? :lolguy:
  22. Barrett, McMillian and Elflein named captains for next year's squad already by Urban
  23. Dontre can't stay healthy, even when healthy I would consider him a bust given all the hype that surrounded him coming to Ohio State Hubbard is a future stud, I believe McShay list him as the #1 DE in the 2017 draft or did at one point. Baugh looks like an NFL TE, lets see if it translates. Although the TE isn't really used at OSU like I would like for it to be. Samuel could be really good, depending on how they use him. He's one of those guys who I feel can do so many things, that he doesn't get to do anything very often if that makes sense. He can play RB/WR/H-Back, but so can 7 other guys on the team Athlon Sports released a way too early top 25 and list OSU at #4. I realistically expect them to be 12-17 pre-season and end up with 3 losses next year. The schedule is not easy and replacing that much talent, like it or not is even harder. http://athlonsports.com/college-football/very-early-college-football-top-25-2016
  24. Vonn Bell I assume because Mike Thomas just declared as well ha-ha
