  1. Smart move by your friend, just checked ebay and watched this auction end http://www.ebay.com/itm/Columbus-Dispatch-Ohio-State-Buckeyes-National-Champions-newspaper-1-13-15-/131402847869?pt=US_NCAA_Fan_Shop&hash=item1e9838567d&autorefresh=true
  2. Warriner promoted http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2015/01/48535/ed-warinner-promoted-tim-beck-named-co-offensive-coordinator-quarterbacks-coach
  3. My dad's wasn't as rigged looking as this one, wish I had pics of it.
  4. My dad made one of these about 6 years ago. I will talk to him tonight and get a list of what all he used. He had it on an 89 CRX that he used as a work vehicle, claimed it got better gas mileage with it, in the area of 10mpg advantage. The best part about him using one was the fact we was doing work at the Springfield ANG, had to have our vehicle inspected everytime we went to enter the gates. Not once did they say anything about the contraption that resembled a bomb haha.
  5. Very interesting article on Elliott and his future http://finance.yahoo.com/news/calls-ohio-state-running-back-161359236.html
  6. I think we all whiffed on the SEC (except Jive haha), hell I had Georgia winning the conference and I think I pinned Bama to have 3 losses.
  7. 2 out of 4, nearly had 3 out of 4, wrong national champion though.
  8. Some gems from previous threads: ''For Braxton to have a chance at it, he's gonna have to 1. Stay healthy for an entire season 2. Go undefeated and 3. Put up insane numbers, I'm talking 35 passing and 10+ rushing TD's I really don't think they want a second 2 time winner, so I don't expect Winston to win it again. I think it'll be the kid from Oregon (Mariotta) honestly as they will put up huge numbers and have a shot at being undefeated (if they can finally beat Stanford)." Haha I was wrong there about the starting running back situation.
  9. No they were def good plays by the defense, just saying if those 3 plays had turned out differently, this game would have as well.
  10. Doesn't help when your offense is on the sideline. Ohio State did exactly what others should have done against Oregon, run the ball. If you keep Oregon on the sideline they can't score. Also putting them in 3rd and long situations really helped Ohio State. Think about this, if Oregons WR doesn't drop the wide open pass on 3rd down, that's a TD. If their running back doesn't get stuffed at the 1, that's a TD. If Apple doesn't shove Oregon's TE out of the back of the endzone, that's a TD. Three touchdowns taken away that turned into a punt, turnover on downs and a field goal. Basically 21 points turned into 3 points. Time of possession, Oregon: 22minutes, Ohio State: 37. Ohio State essentially had the ball an entire quarter more than Oregon did haha
  11. ^^What page is that on lol. I think I made picks as well, curious to see how bad I did
  12. Mel Kiper on Cardale: "He's a second round pick this year, if he goes back to OSU he will end up a top 5-10 pick in next years class"
  13. I caught Tyvis Powell getting his ass burnt on Oregons long TD throw, he should probably keep his mouth shut. As big as he comes up with INT's late in games, he gets smoked the rest of the game all game long. Dude is always out of place on plays, takes terrible angles and over all isn't a very good safety. I like the kid based on following his recruitment, he seems like a hard worker and absolutely loves being a Buckeye. Hell he was quoted after the Indiana game to the affect of "Coach Ash told me I had to get an interception this week if I wanted to be the starter next week". Basically to me that comes off as Ash isn't really sold on him 100% either. I just think his backup is either worse or just not physically ready to compete.
  14. Back to the news paper talk for a minute, I found this on 11warriors "I was at the Dispatch office yesterday, in the ruckus, getting some copies. The Dispatch guy told me that the Sunday paper this coming Sunday, will be the "stadium edition." My local paper has a special edition paper out today. I am about to head down and grab one, ill let you know what it looks like. I was lucky to pick up a dispatch from Krogers yesterday, they had a ton of them. I should've grabbed several
  15. Eleven Warriors has an article up today, in it they look ahead to next years schedule. One of the interesting things they mention, that I didn't really think about is, OSU will have a 5 week playoff next year in order to repeat. Michigan State Michigan Conference Championship game Semi Final Championship game "The same things can be said the 2016 schedule, idle speculation as it is. But here's a post-championship bone on which you can chew: Ohio State could win all its 2015 and 2016 games, and that's not ludicrous to say. After all, only sanctions from a bygone era and a missed block on a 4th-and-1 in the 2013 B1G title game kept Ohio State from playing for three national titles in three years."
  16. He was on ESPN today, I think they just removed him last night to avoid the show being ruined by OSU fans lol.
  17. Something to think about, TCU wasn't ranked in the preseason coaches poll this season. Having them ranked really high next year allows them to slip up at some point, but still climb their way back into the final 4, ala Ohio State, Alabama and Oregon. I honestly feel it's ESPN and the medias way of saying, sorry you were left out this year! I'm not sure how many on defense they lose, nor am I sure how many offensive lineman they lose. However, they do return Boykin, their top running back and top 2 WR's. On paper they look to be loaded, so maybe they deserve to be preseason top 2? TCU AP rankings by the week in 2014 Preseason- Week 5: Not Ranked Week 6: 25 Week 7: 9th Holy hell, they jumped 16 spots in 1 week lol. I didn't realize just how fast and high they jumped. Looking at Preseason Rankings and how they compare to the final AP poll. Most of us believe the polls are meaningless preseason and should not even come out til half way through the season. Preseason rankings on the left, final ranking on the right, +/- indicates how many places a team moved up or down between preseason and final rankings. + is obviously how many places they moved up, if team finished unranked I dropped them to #26 since it's a top 25 ranking. That's why a team like Oklahoma is a -22. One thing I notice here is some of their picks were pretty solid, others such as the SEC teams were highly over rated preseason (S. Carolina, Texas A&M, LSU, ect...) 1. FSU t#5 -4 2. Bama #4 -2 3. Oregon #2 +1 4. Oklahoma NR -22 5. Ohio State #1 +4 6. Auburn #22 -16 7. UCLA #10 -3 8. Michigan State t#5 +3 9. South Carolina NR -17 10. Baylor #7 +3 11. Stanford NR 12. Georgia #9 +3 13. LSU NR -13 14. Wisconsin #13 +1 15. USC #20 -5 16. Clemson #15 +1 17. ND NR -9 18. Ole Miss #17 +1 19. Arizona State #12 +7 20. Kansas State #18 +2 21. Texas A&M NR -5 22. Nebraska NR -4 23. N. Carolina NR -3 24. Missouri #14 +10 25. Washington NR -1 Some teams that finished in the top 25 but weren't in the preseason polls include: Boise State, Utah, Marshall, Memphis and Louisville and of course TCU (+23)
  18. A dicks sporting goods ad? Everytime I click on the link, it starts to take me to a site, but instantly switches to a dicks sporting goods ad... I searched Philly Brown twitter and found this though corey brown @phillybrown10 · 7h 7 hours ago Quack quack huh? Ya school been around for 100 yrs and have nothing to show for it but uniforms @Jonathanstewar1
  19. One more thing, how did Tyvis Powell win defensive MVP? He got torched by Oregon on their long TD throw, he jumped the TE route leaving the WR wide open. Idk what the final defensive stats were, but did they base it solely on tackles? I think he had 7 of those
  20. Urban promised the team that if they won he would get a tattoo. Joey Bosa was quoted saying "We have core values, and honesty is one of them, so he better not be lying," That kid cracks me the hell up
  21. Espn's way too early top 25 has OSU 2nd behind TCU, first SEC team is #8 Georgia lol. USA today has OSU 1 and Auburn 2... Interesting quote from espns too early list: OSU's nonconference schedule isn't easy, with a season opener at Virginia Tech and home games against Hawaii and MAC foes Northern Illinois and Western Michigan." I would venture to say this year's OOC schedule was harder than next years is going to be, yet Espn killed OSU over it this year...ironic!
  22. I'm a huge offensive line fan, they never get the credit they deserve but without them no great team succeeds. I expect recruiting for Tue 16 and 17 classes to really pick up. Yesterday was huge as three 5* kids committed for those classes. I fully expect to have back to back #1 classes both those years.
  23. Watching some of the stuff on Espn and can't help but gush over how great the oline played last night.
  24. Take the chance of earning at least league minimum (500k I believe) and providing for your family or come back, run the risk of not playing again. Either way, he will most likely only have 3 games worth of film for NFL scouts to see, maybe that's all they need?
