A little bit closer than that. At 420mph, he's doing 7 miles per minute. Which is a mile every 8.5 seconds. Those markers were going by every 2-3 seconds. So I'm thinking those are quarter-mile markers. I also seem to remember that cars going over a certain speed (200?) use the 11 mile course at Bonneville.

My Go Pro is very straight forward. Out of the box it's set up to be turns on, then one button to start recording, then again to stop. As for uploading, just plug the USB cable into your computer and turn the camera on. It'll show up as a harddrive (Win xp and newer should ask you how you want to view it, choose as a folder) and then you just copy/paste the videos onto your computer. For uploading to the internet, log into You Turbe and upload them directly.

Maybe it's the mic overloading but it sounded like there was some knock during the 12psi pull.

I'm pretty sure those short runs were probably all it did. Likely the video they're making will be a "evolution" of the track as it's built with the Red Bull car running on it.

On further thought I think I understand where they get the "W". It isn't that the engine is in a W shape, but a double-V. Still, a triple-headed engine would be really cool.

Veyron W16 motor: I always thought the "W" engines had a third bank. Oh well. Guess they're not as cool as I thought they were.

Maybe one with less lift and a small chute? Get the size of the drogue right and you'd have stability and altitude control. And as long as the riders don't fall off the tube the drogue would slow their fall. It'd essentially be a balance between Kite Tubing and Para-sailing.
