Providers seem to vary based on the area. For example, I have roadrunner cable internet through TW and I've had very few problems over the years. A friend of mine in Hilliard has WoW cable and they regularly have problems with it. Cable TV just sucks. No two ways about it. If you cn't get DirecTV at your new location because of something blocking the signal, get a chainsaw and start cutting. Anything to keep from having to deal with Cable TV and their just plain awful DVR boxes.

I have a lot of stuff kicking around and taking up space. As I go through it, this thread will be updated. So far: Whiteline 22mm adjustable rear sway bar $75 Light surface rust at the ends. Brackets and bushings are for 04+ Imprezas. 02-03 Imprezas can use this bar by upgrading to the stronger 04+ mounts. Whiteline WRX rear endlinks $50 Scratched, no impact damage from sway bar. These are the U shaped endlinks for the WRX, not the STI. They are the full length so they are good for cars near stock height or lifted slightly. Bolts have been replaced with grade 8.8 SAE bolts and "nylock" nuts except for one bolt. Full set of washers included as well. Kartboy front endlinks $50 SOLD Scratched. These will fit Impreza sedans including the STI. Includes bolts with "nylock" nuts. 04 STI rims with tires $700 SOLD Powdercoated white. Nicked, some tire rubber transfer. Light curb rash on one rim, not very noticeable. Rims are stock 5x100 17x7.5+53 BBS found only on the 04 STI. The tires are Hankook RS2s in 225/45-17 75-80% tread left Picture of them on the car: Hankook RS2 tires 225/50-16 $200 75-80% tread left. These will fit the stock 16" Impreza rims. I know they fit under WRX fenders, not sure about the non-flared fenders, but I would be surprised if they don't. Power King winter tires 205/55-16 $50 one pair has about 60% tread, other pair has 70% Cheap winter tires. Work pretty good in mud and dirt. BF Goodrich Rally Tires 215/65-15 $300 99% tread left, essentially new. Beads will not seat, but they will hold air. These have only 5 events on them and the edges are still sharp. The tires were never mounted properly and the beads are damaged so they will not seat against the rim. But they do hold air (had them up to 90psi at one time trying to get them to seat). This is a $1000+ set of nearly new rally tires for less than a third of the cost. Stock WRX Passenger seat $100 SOLD Passenger side, no rips, light fading on outside shoulder. Grey/blue. Trying to sell just the passenger side, as I have a buyer for the driver's side if I can split the pair. Complete Race Towing Package $250 Trailer is faded, very light surface rust on tow bar and trailer frame. Tool box is cracked. I'll knock $25 off in trade for stock sedan rear tiedowns (you'll have to remove them to install the hitch receiver.) Complete race trailer towing package for a GD Impreza. This is a hitch reciever, tongue, ball, locking pin, taillight converter, trailer w/ 12" wheels and LED tails, locking toolbox. The trailer will hold a set of stock width tires vertically, or wider with some staggering. The tool box sits low in the frame and visibility is not impaired at all. I can be convinced to split the trailer and towing kit. Trailer is pick-up only. More to come. I have a bunch of sway bars I need to sort out and miscellaneous other parts. Pics in the future. I prefer cash in person. I am available most weekends and W-F evenings to meet. I will also be at the WOR RallyCross in Waynesville 7/16, I can meet buyers there also. Let me know if you have any questions or want to work something out.

Love to see great cars like this being actually DRIVEN.

Some leveling systems are manual. Check the dash for any leveling controls.. Though for a Lincoln, I'd expect it be automatic. The good news is that you can adjust them. The leveling system doesn't care what angle the headlight starts at, it just adds or subtracts degrees depending on the ride height.

HISS. Possibly because it's first. But I really think because it's simple, clean, and instantly readable so my brain picks up on it immediately.

Much as I'm a Subaru guy, (no, really) I question the wisdom of AWD drag cars.

As you say, that's a problem with the government in general. NASA isn't exactly buying gold-plated toilet seats. The TOTAL cost of the Mars rover mission was less than $300 million. Yes, that's million with an M. That word doesn't exist in most Government budgets. The cost for Afghanistan alone would pay for NASA for the next 20 years, or place the beginnings of a colony on Mars (worst-case budget.) The problem I see with NASA going away is that the private sector won't do anything unless there's direct, tangible profit. The dreamers and the explorers won't have the budgets available to do things like go to Mars. Instead, without a group to actively go out and find solutions before we need them, the private sector will wait until those problems occur first. Will we wait for resources like precious metals and fossil fuels to disappear before looking for them elsewhere? Are we going to wait for the world to collapse under the weight of 10, 20, or 50 billion people before we look for more room? We certainly aren't doing anything to curb our population growth. In fact we're still encouraging it. If Mars has the sub-surface content that we think it does, some scientists think it could be human habitable (without environment suits) complete with forests in 200 years from the start of terra-forming. The sooner we start, the sooner we have another planet to expand onto. The old adage says the only thing not being made any more is land. Well, here's a way to make entire continents of land. Maybe I'm just a hopeless dreamer. But I like to believe there's nigh infinite possibilities out there for us. We just have to reach for them. The apple's pretty high up on the tree, but when did we ever let that stop us? -
I like the design concept of the Volt. And going with a turbo 1.4 in this car is a great choice too. But I have been so turned off by the vehicular atrocity that is the '08 Colorado at work and a '07 Malibu that nearly bored me to death that I'm wary of anything GM makes now. Those two cars, especially the POS Colorado, have really soured me.

Visited family in MA. Cookout with old friends canceled. Hung out with some other friends. It was good to see family and hang out with friends I haven't seen in a year or so. But otherwise, it was kinda Meh. At least I got a week off work.

I just don't understand people who think the space program is a waste of money. The present and near-futures benefits are many and tangible. I wonder how many of those people that want NASA cut have a GPS in their phone or car. I also wonder if they believe that Earth's resources are infinite. We only have so much available to us here. We just need to reach a little higher to pluck the apple from the tree. Really, I don't think people realize just how BIG space is. We're not talking about a lode of unrefined metals like you'd find in a mountain. We're talking about a lode the size of the PLANET ITSELF. Our solar system itself has an abundance of resources that's nearly inconceivable. We just need to figure out how to get all that energy and materials. And we won't be able to do that if we stick our heads in the sand. http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/65_years.png -
Clean car, get a better camera, take pics in good light. Also, lose the tumescent muffler. Looks like you couldn't find one that fit.

There aren't a lot of good ones. The best takes a little diligence on your part. Rooting will make the biggest impact, but if you can't or won't I had good luck with this method: Install ES Task Manager (Free), and put the widget on the home screen. One tap will kill unnecessary tasks. Turn off GPS, Background Data, Wifi, and Bluetooth. If you have to use GPS/Wifi/BT, just turn it on when needed and off when you don't. Most Androids have easy widgets you can use to toggle them. Background data supposedly is used by some programs, but I haven't found one yet that *needs* it other than the Market. So I leave it off until I start Market. Then just give the ES Task Manager widget a tap every time you open or close your phone. Doing this cut my battery use way down. Stock, I ran out of juice at the end of an 8 hour shift. Doing the above left me with 40%+ at the end of a shift. After rooting, I can leave work with 60% or more battery power left and can leave my phone (Thunderbolt) unplugged over night and only lose maybe 15%.

Ahh, that really clears things up, thanks. :dumb:

Yup, I know. It just didn't look right spelled any other way and my spellcheck wasn't any help. So I figured I'd use a properly spelled incorrect word instead of an incorrectly spelled word. -

It's all good man. Weather you're driving around the cones or grinding them into so much orange and black dust, it's just about having fun. -

+1. But ask your body guy if it's ok so soon. More than likely however, he used the blue or green tape to do your paintjob. Worst case, hit up an art store and buy some magnetic vinyl and put numbers on a couple panels. Then you can just lay the panels on your doors. -

It can happen. I don't see any classifications for S10s, so you might end up in an oddball class. If you try AutoX and REALLY want to compete in an S10, you can ask the SCCA to make an official decision on Classification. The cool thing about AutoX is that as long as the car is safe and won't roll over, you can run it. And for those that want to play around in the dirt, all of this goes for RallyX also. -

I'm a little fuzzy on AutoX classing, but I think you'll end way up in Prepared. Being competitive in AutoX usually means either restrained modding, or balls-to-the-wall "because racecar" modding. It just depends on what class you want to end up in. But the absolute best mod is seat time. Just show up and drive. The more you drive, the better you become. Remember, a fast driver can make a slow car go fast, but a fast car can't make a slow driver go fast. There were some really hot cars out there, including a Viper, this weekend that were being schooled by Miatas and Neons. Come out and play. There's even a Ford Ranger that shows up sometimes and lays some impressive times.
