  1. Shown at Japan's D1GP How it's built: I should have waited a year!

  3. Pike's Peak is an LA highway compared to Mt. Washington. THAT was scary. My goal is to do Pike's Peak in a few years, but I'm not sure I could do Mt. Washington at speed. That crash was crazy, but it's an awesome testament to today's safety measures.
  4. I LOL'd. Best parts were the news bits at the bottom:
  5. It's Apples to Apples for Assholes. Sounds great.
  6. Now imagine how fast it would be if that engine didn't have to fling a small building down the quarter.
  7. Draco-REX

    sick again

Bolthouse C Boost. Makes me feel better when I feel a cold coming on.
  8. That's awesome. When I was there they were a few toys shy of 200. At this rate, you guys might have to find a second place to donate to next year.
  9. I swung out there early and dropped off a couple toys. But I left kind of early. The turnout looked good.
  10. The BRZ: A- It has fantastic response and feedback. But no matter how well tuned the electric steering is, there this faint disconnect. But it's not bad enough to matter. The STI: B as it sits now. Stock, maybe a C+ The WRX: C- The Ambulance: F Past cars: Legacy GT: C- '86 Corolla: C+ but the sloppy 20+ year old suspension didn't help. The funny thing is, I would probably have been rating these cars almsot a grade higher before I owned the BRZ. It was a real eye-opener.
  11. Yup. Same idea is used for the "W" motors; they're just two blocks like that welded together. Which kind of disappointed me since I figured a W motor would have 3 banks. Ah well.
  12. Because the people who buy these rarely do so for the performance. They do it to show how much money they spend. And they can't do that if it looks like every other car out there.
  13. :gabe: (Trollface smileys are gone. )
  14. Electric Supercharges will always be a scam. It takes power to make power with a supercharger. To get any real power from an electric supercharger, you'll need the electric motor out of a Prius, and that's not running off your alternator. Body kits are up to you. But keep this in mind: No matter what you do to it, you'll still be driving a Maxima when all is said and done. Is a Maxima the car you want? I'm not being snarky here, I'm being dead serious. Body kits, turbos, etc will not turn the car into something else. And every penny you put into the car that isn't maint. or repair related is a penny you are throwing away. So at the end of the day your Maxima will only ever be a Maxima. Is that where you want to put your money? If you want something else, just keep the car stock and in good condition until you're ready to trade it for what you want. Save your "extra" cash to put towards that car instead of losing it now. Just a thought..
  15. Considering how some people think creating laws will directly influence reality, I guess we should try this. The energy savings could be immense!
  16. China has cracked perpetual motion using Troll Science. http://www.wimp.com/farmerinvented/
  17. I was expecting a bit more shovel at the end, but still, pretty cool to nearly scratch-build an AK.
  18. So..... Who's got highest top speed? 271mph here in a Veyron GS with no aero.. Talk about twitchy...
  19. Oh, If they did I probably skipped over that part. Still.. 200 mph + Brick = Impressive.
  20. I don't think he's stock.. Sounds like he has a turbo.
  21. Just use the video's id be tween the youtube brackets. It's the part of your link that starts with 7 and ends with w.
  22. Dammit, they weren't supposed to post that. This engine was going to go into the BRZ, but now that the cat's out of the bag I'm going to have to scrap that plan and go with something else.. I wonder if NASA has a spare booster rocket laying around....
