  1. I'm not sure who makes the internals. It's being sold by Innovate. Any idea who makes a .94L twin screw? This was the design I first wanted to see for this car. But I didn't think it'd ever actually be produced. This is just plain cool, even if it doesn't make as much POWAHH as a turbo. I hope a shop gets a hold of one and puts it through its paces.
  2. So, yeah.. SEMA.. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/30963_3733737031142_942921275_n.jpg :masturboy:
  3. So looks like we're going to get an Avatar rip-off where Jarjar Binks becomes an Ewok?
  4. Conti ExtremeContact DW for the summer and Conti WinterContact on steelies for the winter.
  5. Driving to work on AD08s was interesting... http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/yokohama/yo_advan_neo_ad08_ci2_l.jpg
  6. I'm not a huge fan of the body.
  7. I can't find them right now, but here's a set that cost 1/2 the price of the car: http://endless-sport.co.jp/event/campaign20120416/index.html
  8. Here's another widebody, with shades of DTM: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v693/Randizzle8/56661_10151284217085318_1197377224_o-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v693/Randizzle8/IMG_7765.jpg http://cdn.speedhunters.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Evasive-FRS-01.jpg
  9. Those both have the Rocket Bunny/TRUST/Greddy body kit. If I build up my BRZ when it's out of warranty, I want the fenders from that kit. Though I think the kit's rear wing is a bit over-done. I'd probabaly go with a more functional wing, and a splitter for the front. I'm not. I'm really enjoying N/A response right now. I'm also wondering how well the turbo FA20 will hold up. If they change the pistons, will we see the same issues the STI's are seeing? Or will it also be as stout as the current N/A engines? I might be sitting on a more desirable engine. Stranger things have happened. Speaking of engines: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=18607&stc=1&d=1351219486 Yeah, it was only a matter of time.
  10. I'd like to see where it's confirmed there will be a turbo. All I see now are rumors. There has never been a secret that a turbo FA20 is being built, it already exists in Japan. But the big question was whether it would be put under the BRZ's hood. As far as I know, that hasn't been confirmed. "Inside Sources" is just journalism-speak for "Shit I just thought up". According to "inside sources" the 2008 STI was supposed to be a 3-door hatch with 350hp. Nothing's confirmed until Subaru comes out and says it, or it's sitting on a plinth at the Tokyo Auto Show. Now, that said, I hope they come out with a forced induction version. This car is VERY fun to drive, and giving it more power till entice more people to give it a try. If anything, when other competitors hit the market it'll help them keep a step ahead.
  11. Interesting. I worry about increased losses though. This might be destined for the big displacement market.
  12. You need to be towing a cart behind you carrying his giant balls.
  13. I think it has all the hallmarks of a good track. Challenging corners, big elevation changes, high speed link-able corners, and lots of grandstand space with great visibility. We'll see how it works out in practice, but I have high hopes. I don't think it'll be as popular as Suzuka, (Herman Tilka(sp?) Tracks don't flow quite so well) but I think it may become top-5 for the drivers. Just looking at the layout makes me want to drive it, which is not something I can say for some of the latest tracks to join the F1 circus. Can't wait for November.
  14. Very Jelly. Have fun. Hmm, I should probably make sure I won't be working those days....
  15. RWD and it's shod like an AWD? :dumb:
  16. 28k takes my STI.... just sayin'
  17. Funny trailer, but it'll probably be another weak NFS game.
  18. Gun manufacturers and dealers always make a killing (no pun intended) during election years.
  19. Black is cool and all, but I think they need to paint it a brighter color. Other cars just aren't seeing it due to its low profile. I feel this car will become another interesting footnote in racing history, like the 6 wheel F1 cars, rather than the revolution that they are trying to make it out to be. BUt they have to make it more visible. A brighter coat of paint will help. Maybe DRLs on the rollover pylons above the driver would help. But as it stands now, I think the other drivers are just seeing a dark smudge in their mirrors that isn't shaped like a what they are used to and are disregarding it as they focus on all of the other stimulus bombarding them.
  20. I was just about to post that. Someone should do another but with just a random face swap at the end.
