  1. Body color is.. ehh. That kind of blue was really popular for a year or so. I think Ford is just late to the party. Those wheels though. For that price they better have the OE wheels. I wouldn't pay a premium for shitty-ass snow-package specials. Also, having seen one in person, I think that photographer has some serious skills. It's not just anyone that can take a series of photos of a car and make every single one of them unflattering. They managed to make it look like a Hyundai Accent in almost every pic.
  2. Had a lot of fun today. It's always a blast watching cars hammer at a dyno. It's even better when the dyno is inside. I may not have had a very powerful run, but they might have been the longest. When I bought the Lotus, it came with a dyno chart that said 213 rwhp. Turns out it wasn't a lie. 218 rwhp on the CR Benchmark Dyno! Pull #1 Pull #2 (With bonus blue flame!) Pull #3 (Best of the day at 218hp/145tq) AFRs looked good too. I'm very happy. I also got to take Doc's Slingshot for a spin. It's a fun little thing. I wasn't prepared for the amount of wind buffeting, making me wish I had taken up Doc's offer to wear his helmet. But the SS was a lot more viceral than I was expecting. Very cool.
  3. Can't make it next week either. Hopefully the 6th.
  4. Would love to go, but have a RallyX points event that day. Hopefully I can make the next one.
  5. Man, I always miss the C&Cs with the crazy turnouts.
  6. I'm in. I might not be able to stay the whole day, but I do want to get the Exige on the dyno. Will you be offering AFR metering?
  7. Works on my android. I'll see if I can find a better link.
  8. You may want to mute due to questionable music taste..
  9. Is this the fastest standing mile for a Ford GT, or the fastest standing mile, period? Seems plenty fast for an overall record, but they seem to qualify it at the end of the video.
  10. I plan to make as many as I can, from as many organizations as I can. Well, working between RallyX events. ..and the Nationals. I do want to get to a track day at Mid-Ohio this year too. ... And I have to take into account my job which has me working every third Saturday. My summer race schedule is going to need a slide rule, abacus, and an astrologer to figure out.
  11. It was 250GB/mo but August of last year they bumped everyone on Uverse to 1TB/mo.
  12. You know, I bet that would be right at home in the Lotus....
  13. You should rent out some of that trunk space for the local mafia. Or you could make a few $$ driving Uber Black and do your best impression of Jason Statham.
  14. I would like to verify the dyno chart that came with the Lotus...
  15. OT, but you do realize the irony in this statement, right?
  16. Just got ATT Uverse at the new house. It's already much better than the TWC cable at the apartment.
  17. The C7 shooting brake thread reminded me of a couple cars from the 60s that I love. First, the Lincoln Continental hardtop. Suicide doors, a hood so long the front bumper arrives 5 minutes early, and enough trunk space to stash a rival mafia family. http://img.feedfloyd.com/media/post/thumb-2/6198c216c82749bdea1ac290eadf7284cbdb4e67.jpg But the one I was reminded of was the Ferrari 330 P3/4. The "prototype" classes of today still echo these lines. I'm not a big fan of Ferrari styling in general, but every now and then, there's a Ferrari that really grabs me. http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200605/1966-ferrari-330-p3-one-o-2_800x0w.jpg
  18. I've always thought the 2nd gen F-Body doesn't get enough credit for the design. This is one done right. In general, I prefer newer car designs. There are a lot of older cars that I think look great, but the cars that really make me stop and stare are often newer ones. I have to start with Aston Martin. No car maker is perfect, but Aston seems to hit more than miss. As above, the DB5 is an older car that has great lines. http://cdntbs.astonmartin.com/sitefinity/bond/bonddb53.jpg?sfvrsn=0 http://www.topgear.com/sites/default/files/styles/16x9_1280w/public/images/gallery-migration/2014-03/9FB67C61-288C-4D24-90C2-3EF962FB9E9C_2.jpg?itok=z5jQ4zTW But as their designs progressed, I think they became better and better. Now there's the new Vanquish (love the name too): http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_HODVmaZmwU/VC2sR2nnKRI/AAAAAAAAJXc/fWTUz174voo/s1600/Aston-Martin-Vanquish-Carbon-Black-3.jpg The lines are classic, but the trim is modern and aggressive. I love it. Just don't let Zagato near it, or it all gets ruined. I don't know what specifically catches my eye, but I know I love it when I want to wash the car so I have the excuse to run my hands over all the lines.
  19. We're cutting the cord when we move to the new house. Everything we watch is pretty much available on line. The tough one us Formula 1. Looks like it's live or wait to torrent. Hopefully with Bernie the Dinosaur gone and the other changes going on in the upper ranks, F1 will start catching up with the times.
  20. I have heard that the 1st gen Volts were very reliable. I hope the same holds true for the 2nd gen. There's no outside plugs I can use at my work. But I can't wait until I go to a shopping center with an EV parking spot.
  21. The shit-flinging is part of CR's charm. It's not a good thread if someone doesn't get insulted on page 1.
  22. You also have to take into account 2015 was the last year for the 1st gen and the 2nd gen has been reviewed as a better car in pretty much every way. So I can see the 1st gen values falling pretty fast. I have every intention to see plenty of SOLO events in the Lotus, and of course another full season of RallyCross. I do hope to find time to get the Lotus out to Mid Ohio this year.
