Awesome, I'll try some of those next time it happens; the fact that it comes and goes makes it rough too. I did some more searching and found some vague indication that firefox 3 may have trouble dealing with java somehow that might cause such behavior. Not sure, but I don't recall it occuring after some strange instance of java. I tend to visit the same dozen or so sites regularly, and I've visited them all without anything in particular causing it again..... all I can do is wait for it to happen i guess, and apply some of these attempts at fixing it.

Yea, next time it happens I'll try that, but my hand doesn't rest on it at all or anything. And I don't play any games on the laptop that use it really. The laptop is less than a year old too, so that'd be crappy.

Yea, it could be hardware related I suppose, but I'm leaning toward software as well. I had my old compaq laptop case open a few times, but if it looks like the keyboard needs replaced on this one, I'll probably just exchange for a new one with the warranty. Maybe it's some Mozilla conflict? I dunno, I updated that a couple weeks ago I thought.

So, I'm usually pretty technical when it comes to computer stuff, and normally I'd just say reformat, but being it's an issue on my laptop I'd prefer to try and avoid that right now; I always end up with driver problems.... That said, the problem I'm having is proving hard to track down. It's EXTREMELY intermittent, and I can't point to any thing in particular that causes it. What happens is that I can be typing something into a field on google/CR/url bar, or any text field basically, and my typing will become backwards. The cursor moves left, and shoots the letter previously typed to the right. Basically, I'm typing normally, left to right, but it's being produced right to left, but sourcing from the normal left side of the text box. Maybe inverting it would be a better way to describe it. I can type "hello" on my keyboard, and it will be produced "olleh" on the screen. A secondary way it reflects itself is when I try to select text, it will instantly deselect it, place the cursor at the far right character, and jump between character right to left until it cycles to the left end.....really annoying, and really stupid. Now, I've run the version of Symantec Antivirus I get from work, and Spybot Search and Destroy, but all scans have found nothing. From what I've tried to find online, most solutions point to a faulty keyboard as you'd find with a desktop, not a laptop. It's so intermittent that I doubt that's it. Anybody maybe know what else I might try, or have any idea what might be causing it before I bite the bullet and do a clean install?

I didn't have a pass to get me that close, but I took a few decent ones from the stands. Our seats were just short of the straight, so i had a view of the last 4 or 5 corners. Gotta get the spacers and control arms in ASAP to resolve little issues w/ coilovers.

Going to be giving you guys a call today, my "lifetime alignment" at firestone is longer worth anything since I put coilovers on the car.... I'll bring it by this afternoon/evening probably.

I was looking at a few 4-cylinder ranger/s10/tacoma etc. etc trucks a while ago. If i've got a car that I don't worry about keeping very clean or pretty, why not get the most utility I can out of it? That's my mindset at least... My 230k mile dakota is still truckin along, but it's got a 318 so the mileage isn't great and I expect the tranny to go any day now. Right now that's what I drive if not the Stealth, and I've really liked a truck as a DD.

I like the low-energy fluorescents for indoor lamps just for extra brightness. A lamp you could ordinarily only put a 40w or 60w incandescent lamp into, you can toss in a 200w light output fluorescent. It's ungodly bright if that's what you're going for, and it won't melt down the base it's in . I actually saw a 300w comparable fluorescent at Lowes the other day too, I think it only used 60 or 70 watts. It was probably 6 inches tall or so, so it might not fit everywhere, but GOOD GOD that would give you a suntan.

That isn't bad for a 17 year old, I'll give you that. However, I would have just bought a "more used" ( older ) mustang with a V8 instead of a V6.... You have to start to wonder if dumping more money into a motor w/o much potential is a better idea than just buying a V8 car, or swapping a V8.
