  1. well, clearly you won't as he is only available for "icking"
  2. Isn't that a little harsh? I rarely use anything other than lots of wash soap and scrubbing on my wheels. My wheels have a flat gray center and polished ( clearcoated ) lip. I would hate to screw them up..... but I would like to know what works and doesn't affect the finish AT ALL.
  3. HAHAH,unfortunately no, it is not. That is "linchpinjoe", out of Illinois. I'm not sure if he was there or not, I just know him as a member on the 3si forums. Was the license plate "REAL 99"? This is another pic of the car: http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8493/65082375oy9.jpg
  4. No sir, but it's becoming a popular swap w/ rockcrawler and dunebuggy guys, so there are adapter kits out there....
  5. If it didn't need so much work i'd drive it for sure. Me <3 weird cars
  6. ^^^illegal in florida, methinks
  7. Ah, good info, I've yet to try to put one together myself, just admired the work of others. Are you sure there's no change in focus? What accounts for the look of "everything in focus" that comes with HDR images?
  8. btw, here are some epically good HDR shots, for those who've not seen really well done examples. http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/7974/img977567ff0.jpg http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/3861/newzv9.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/1599/1381065591dee84ca565bou2.jpg
  9. Geoff, you have to have a camera that can manually focus generally, yours would probably work. You use a tripod, and take a bunch of pictures, each with a different distance away in focus. Like one with the skyline in focus, and the car slightly blurry, then the front of the car in focus, then the rear, then the bridge, then the river, etc. etc. etc. After you've got your collection together, you can use the "merge to HDR" function in photoshop. Enjoy!

    Welcome, sir.
  11. Fyi, geoff, don't do that if you're planning on doing burnouts. You can only kinda turn off the traction control. My dad has one.
  12. that was really dumb. I mean, the "club member" thing, wtf?
  13. She is going to have pinkeye like the world has never seen.
  14. I believe that is VR-4ever from 3si, amirite? Beautiful car, won ride of the month/year/something a while back on the forum for them. I'll have to check out the article.
  15. That's why you should aim them, correctly.
  16. Do you have load levelers, or just a ball? You'd notice things tow A LOT better w/ load levelers. They don't just make things sit flatter, they distribute the weight from almost entirely on the rear to across both axles of the truck. You may have them, but if not, the $200 or less hitch upgrade would probably benefit you. Obviously this wouldn't give you more power or a better transmission, but hey, it all helps. +1 for gears too.
  17. I just read that whole thing, interesting stuff, and interesting perspective.
  18. pics to photobucket or tinypic so the world can see them?
  19. Anybody know anything about h3 hid retrofits in oem halogen projector housings? I realize they are stock halogen projectors, but they do have a good cutoff. I've been reading into it a good deal, and most of the scattered light is a result of how deep into the lense the hid retrofit bulbs fit in halogen lenses, causing skewed reflection geometry. There are now available hid retrofits for h3 housings that feature a different bulb geometry, placing it the same depth into the lense as the oem halogen bulb ( i think they're called h3-c ). Basically, will this corrected mounting depth help to get rid of horrible beam pattern associated w/ most hid retrofits? It should in theory, right?
  20. I'm still awaiting high res of the black ones.....I will rep accordingly
  21. where can i get high res versions? I too have the collection w/ the blue one saved. It's on their website through, this black one is not.
  22. My friend will be getting rid of his 95 corolla very soon - potentially the end of the week. It needs a little work, but shouldn't be too bad. Has a CV/wheel bearing issue I guess, I don't really know though. It also has a dent under the turn signal/side of the bumper. It's got right at 100k on it. If you're interested I could get a price from him. Let me know.
