  1. Mine is 03 Escalade lq9 block 10 over, stock crank, forged pistons w/ good rings, H beam rods, but I see people doing it on stock forged rods+pistons. It wouldn't be hard to find an lq4/9 slap some piston/rods in it, get it balanced, fi cam+ stock heads/intake and crank up the boost. It's all in the tuning whether or not you blow it up.
  2. This is totally doable. I have 5k in my motor(forged lq4, heads, cam, w/9.2:1cr), 5k in my turbo, 800 in my fuel system, 3k in my tranny, and I should be able to crank it and get at least 750-800 whp, through a 4x4 tranny. This same combo in an f-body would be 800+whp. Then put a boost controller on it and run 10psi dd, and 18 at the push of a button.

    I've been trying to quit for a month now. That chantix stuff kicked my ass, the second week I slept for about 1-2 hours a night so I quit taking it. I have went from 1 1/2 packs a day to 3-5 cigs a day since then. It's one of the hardest things to not do.

  5. The only time I have met anyone on here is at dyno days, and track days, spread out over 2 1/2 years, so I don't really know anyone. If there would be actual cr meets, that were planned more than a day ahead of time, that I could plan to go to, I would probably go to all of them, even though they are at least an hour away.
  6. Mines not fast by any means now, at the track day last year it went 14.2, but there has been some tuning since then, so maybe -14's. The guy building my front mount kit just emailed me today to let me know it will be shipping next week. Once that goes on I'm not stopping till I get mid 10s. 1trueSS has a nice 6 speed truck.

  9. Get a can of spotshot, soak it down let it sit for 1/2 an hour, then soak it again, and shopvac it out. I bought a truck that under the cup holders had the worst coffee stains I had ever seen, I did this twice, and you couldn't tell there was ever coffee spilt there.
  10. Lowes has companies install everything for them. You go in, tell them you want an opener, they send someone out to tell you what you need, and come back later to install it. My company does this for Zanesville/Newark Lowes. Or you can call a garage door company directly.

  12. The bottom bar on the gate could have pushed the gate up. I think the gate popped the hood, and got pushed up as the car went farther under it.
  13. No they are still on the truck. They said 6-8 weeks on build time, but will be looking to get rid of them soon. That is not how much I paid, but all stainless hot pipes, and everything but injectors, and a few electronic parts, for less than $4000 isn't expensive at all. I called them to get a boost gauge, injectors, iat sensor, map sensor, boost controller, and the only thing I ordered from them was the boost gauge, 4 weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them. They pretty much said just go ahead and get the other stuff somewhere else. I was going to spend around $1000, and he sent me away. Oh yea, it was my oil pan, not tranny fluid. My oil pan has always leaked about a half a quart between oil changes. Now it seems like it will be about 2 quarts. I'm glad the oil pan is coming off in a couple of weeks for the turbo drain.
  14. I'm getting a turbo, so I decided to go with a 4l80e. I shipped it back to FLT for a complete rebuild, it will be the same as buying a brand new FLT level 7 from them, it will be shipped to you directly from them.   18. The regular kit is for stockish engines, that aren't pushing high boost at high rpms. There are a lot of guys with stock engines with this kit. I'll look you up when it's all buttoned up. Thanks for the offer, I may look you up, I have about 20 guys that are offering to help, just to get a ride in it, but we will see how many actually help though. I don't really know what to expect, there's a guy with a very similar setup that I am pretty much copying, that has run 10.33@129 on 14psi, but I don't know how much hp he's making.

  22. I ordered my front mount turbo for my truck the other day. I'm getting a 76mm, with a .96 ar, 3 1/2" dp, air-air intercooler. I need to pick up some other parts, to complete the kit and it will be ready to go on. They said 6-8 weeks to be made, so I have a little time.
