That will all be fine, the trannys I build retain all the function of a stock one. As far as shifting into overdrive under power, it will hold, but you might be better served going with a three disc lockup convertor and locking third gear. That can be achieved in the tune or with a switch to initiate lockup. I currently have a Vigilante 3 disc in mine and will hold all the power I am making with no issue. As a bonus, with a 4.11 in the Camaro in OD and locked up, it will still pull down upper 20s in fuel mileage.

I build them. My 4L60E is standing behind a 700whp heavy Camaro with probably 150 runs and 6000 street miles. They aren't extremely cheap though.

The C5ZO6 is more like a real race car, more connected and more feedback than the C6. C6 will be less harsh and a marginally more attractive.

Pull the wheel, remove the upper control arm and rear link, swivel spindle down pull axle. Seal out, seal in, rinse and repeat. I've done a few.

The GTO isn't considered LS worthy.

Column Lock bypass sucks. Mine got me at a meet, 1am ready to head out and car shuts off @ 2 mph. If you are gonna tune one, the cutoff mph can be changed, mine is at 256. Leaky rears are very common, but it only takes about 15 minutes to repair. There is one for sale in the corral.

Almost everytime on those the 3-4s are shot. The transmission trys to shift into third and the clutches start freewheeling. Possible sunshell as well. I have done quite a few of them and they don't get better.

Kyle is anal about this truck. I can vouch for the quality and execution of this build. I have driven it down the track and it is a beast, with manners.

Just run OLS. If there is going to be any index class it will be 6.50. My goal has always been as much heads up as possible. Im not into bracket racing.
